Mary is an absolute sweetheart! We have been coming here for years to her sushi bar, and she always delivers top quality food and delightful service. My wife and I feel very fortunate to have Ojiya as our go to spot for Japanese dining.

Love the Hibachi Grill.....wonderful atmosphere....always good food and a wonderful time....when the whole family comes to town off we go to Ojiya....
Hands down best Sushi in chico. Never been disappointed!
This is by far my favorite place to get sushi! They have great service and great food.
Best Sushi in town, Family run business, They have only the best quality fish and you can really taste it. The cuts are generous and the service friendly and efficient. The Hibachi tables are also fun and delicious. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. Their salmon is outstanding and the creativity of the Sushi chefs appetizing and appealing. The owners are very experienced and have been in the restaurant business for a long time. I love going there and always leave satisfied.
Love love this place I always buy the soy salad dressing there it's yummy
Thanx 2 Chef Tom I had a great meal. Good service and great food.....
Best service and sushi in Chico! Ask for the Jimmy Special! No wait and decor is great!
My family have been loyal customers for many years and have never had a bad meal. Great people and a great restaurant!
Friendly service , entertaining and the food is amazing!
Good. Sushi was good and fresh, but expensive. Still a must try.
I really enjoyed eating at the sushi bar! I eat a LOT of sushi as I travel all over the country and The food at this place was really good quality Japanese food. Some items on the menu were so-so traditional, but I guess that's to be expected for a place away from the coastline. Loved the Bento! Hoping I'll be back in Chico to try the "oishi" rice-free roll. The servings were generous and I didn't have room!
Good...but pricey.. I had their special "Sunny Alaska" roll since it was the only specialty roll they had for under $10. I was pleasantly surprised at how tastey it was. As an accompaniment, I also had a 2 piece Ika Nagiri...which was very good. I look forward to going back, but will now be more prepared for the "sticker shock" prices.
Good, not great. If this is your first experience with teppanyaki style dining, then you will probably love it. For those that have been to similar style restaurants, you aren't missing much. You get the 'cook at the table' show, pretty good food and a hefty bill. Better alternatives would be Benihana or Kobe in Redding.
Im here night now for my birthday. its awesome
Good atmosphere great service and fresh food prepared very well. This is one of the better Sushi and Japanese Steakhouses I have been to and I have been to many :-)
The owners run a tight ship with fast service and a smile.
The fish is top grade and the Steakhouse entertaining.
The prices are reasonable and the place is clean. The decor creates a comfortable atmosphere and you leave satisfied and wanting to come back
I give it 3 "Mo' better" s
