Simply the best donuts (updated to add my foodie pics). I can't help but stop by almost every time I'm in OTR. You may be familiar with their maple bacon or oreo cookie or buckeye donuts, but they make a lot more than those and some of them sell out fast, so try to get there early for the full selection. Always a good idea to leave with a couple more donuts than you went in to get lol

Went to OTR for the afternoon and decided to stop in and try the donuts I've heard so much about. Very friendly service and price was good. Loved the building. I thought the donuts were good but nothing too special. I did love all the variety they offer. If you are in OTR I recommend stopping in for a try.

Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had! I live in Louisville and visiti Cincinnati every now and then. I first tried Holtmans a couple of months ago and I fell in love. I was just there last weekend and even I looked online for the best donuts in town, they all mention this place so why look further? I went again and I must admit I ate 3 in one sitting! The red velvet was unbelievable. Can’t wait to go back.

This little shop was recommended to me by a local man on a bicycle that was enjoying his commute on the AQUA bicycle city ride share system. He told me to get the cinnamon twist, so I did. Also the maple bacon bacon. It was great! Whenever I go to a new donut shop I have to try the glazed donut. The glaze itself was good however, the dough was a little heavy for my taste. Now you have to realize I'm a donut snob. He he. I like to have my glazed donuts light so I can have more than one and not feel stuffed. I will say that the cinnamon twist was crispy light and airy and the recommendation was well founded. Perhaps I'll add another star once I try other selections. The shop is clean and you can see them making donuts from either inside the shop or on the street. I will return I hope you get a chance to taste their other donuts as well.

EXCELLENT donuts!!!! We were looking for coffee while in town. Luckily we found this gem. The staff was friendly and inviting. They were making and icing donuts right thru the glass...How cool. I bet kids would love this place!! Thanks for the great donuts and service, hope we make it back to town soon!!

Always crowded with queues from morning to night. Selection isn’t very wild and popular donuts run out in the morning. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Didn’t manage to get the pumpkin specialty donut and the ordinary one doesn’t taste good:( velvet tastes great.

Some of the best donuts you'll find on Earth! Visited the shop on Vine and picked up three dozen to take back to my home state. Knowledgeable and attentive staff helped me pick out a wide selection - everything from the classic Boston creme and Apple fritters to the delectable red velvet and german chocolate, and every fantastic creation in-between.

Alright I can’t help it, this place gets a 5 star for sure. So many things I can rave about. The lady at the counter was so kind and explained their donut selection and what they’re famous for. I went for a few different varieties to try out and BOY was I surprised. The glaze is so light and makes you want more. Not too sweet but perfect. The glazed donut I couldn’t put down. They crisp the bottom of the donut but the top is fluffy and perfectly cooked. The cake donut is a close second, great with a cup of coffee. I can’t stand overly sweet donuts, and this place made a perfect taste for me today. Can’t wait to come back.

I'm not a donut lover because of its massive sweetness, however this cute local donut shop was cool to visit for an out towner. Their peanut butter Buckeye donut was so good to go with a dark coffee.

They were getting ready to close on Friday so we grabbed some donuts for Sat morning breakfast. I tried the maple bacon and a red velvet hole. My husband had the crueller and a cinnamon sugar hole. Both were excellent and super affordable!! 12 for $8 at closing. The counter person was super helpful and friendly.

Have you ever wondered what Lucky Charms or bacon on a donut would taste like? Wonder no more. Head on over to Holtman’s and enter donut heaven. And, if you’re not a “wild and crazy guy,” they have all the regular classic favorites, too, like melt-in-your-mouth powdered sugar yeast donuts...OMNOMNOM Also, you always get friendly + speedy service and great prices. A wonderful Cincinnati institution. Please support this local, small business!

Was out exploring the city on a business trip and came across this place and wow, so glad we did. They offered many different kinds of donuts and I'm only sad that i couldn't try them all. This Maple Bacon donut was by far my favorite. SO GOOD. The bacon crumbles just fell of the donut and this messy deliciousness. The icing used was the perfect amount for this sweet and salty satisfaction. Add all this with the fluffiness of the donut and you have yourself what some call heaven. A Must Try place!

I loved the specialty donuts. The staff is super friendly and it's not too expensive. They also serve very good coffee. It's definitely something you need to visit if you are in Cincinnati. You can even watch them make the donuts through a glass wall.

Fun place with unique flavors. Key lime pie, lucky charms, apple fritter and a doughsant (1/2 Donut, 1/2 croissant) were all delicious...they were making donuts in the window which was to watch.

Amazing donuts, among the best I've tried in the US. Very cheap as well at one dollar each.
