Overall, this restaurant scores high on all the major categories in my book. Categories such as food menu, bar selection, ambiance and service. We ordered the Maine style roll, Connecticut style, potatoes salad, cauliflower and smoke fish dip. Everything had so much flavor and it was just the right portion size. In addition, their bar offerings are extensive with a wide selection of beers (draft and can), liquor, and wine. All of this deliciousness is wrapped up in a space that is both bright, welcoming, and stimulating. Powered by a friendly and knowledgeable staff makes this place a go to if you are looking to treat yourselves or group with a fun and casual dining experience. We will definitely be back for more.

After an unpleasant experience last weekend Dan and his staff made it up to my wife and I today. Service was top notch and more in line with what we've experienced our previous visits. We were extremely pleased with the meal and are so glad we gave them another chance. We will return and recommend them to our friends.

We've ate there twice and loved the food. Tonight we were seated, got our drinks promptly and then NEVER spoken to again! Extremely disappointing to be ignored while table after table were seated, and had food and drink orders taken and served without so much as a look in our direction.
We took our business elsewhere and doubt we will return.
...and that's a damn shame because we really like the food!
First off, I'm allergic to seafood and shellfish. I always want to try out new restaurants when they open. I never thought I'd set foot here, but as everything else was closed downtown, or packed, I had to see if they had anything for me. I also feared cross-contamination.
I started with the sangria which was great! I then told the server about my situation, so she pointed out items for me. She even told the chefs so they'd be careful! Great to see hiring local folks from the area, pre-gentrification.
I had the Chicken Salad Roll with crispy shallots on top. It was a very large roll & was stuffed to the brim! It came with a slaw that was something I've never tasted before. It was like a mix between a vinegar Carolina slaw and creamy. Very good! I had the Mac n' cheese w/o lobster, and it was great! Will definitely be back so allergy minded folks, take note!
We tried lobster poutine fries, lobster Mac n cheese and the Maine and Connecticut style lobster rolls. Everything was delicious and we had great service too. Can’t wait to go back and try some other menu items.
I've been to this place twice now and it's my favorite seafood place. The food is always amazing and melts in your mouth. It's a must when you want lobster.
Lobster bisque was the best I’ve had in Cincy. I had the Maine Lobster roll & it also was fresh with lots of great flavor. This may be my new favorite restaurant. The guys were friendly & so nice to talk with. #eatmorelobster🦑
Food was great! Fingerlings cooked in duck fat took a while but worth the wait. Lots of lobster on my sandwich. I will be back. Sucks my husband is allergic to shellfish 🦐
It wasn’t what I expected. Totally casual for a lobster place. It was great food and great service.
Finally made it to this place!
OUTSTANDING lobster rolls, lobster bisque and drinks! You can’t go wrong with the Maine roll or Connecticut roll so just get both!
Def a diamond in the rough kind of place!
We’ll be back soon!!
Long-narrow restaurant, ample seating, beautiful bar, friendly staff who took the time to share their story with my daughter and I while we waited. And oh my, the wait was worth it - simply outstanding lobsta' rolls!! Makes it me long for my past business trips to Maine. We will be back...again and again and...😋😋
Great, authentic Maine lobster rolls, plus so many other yummy sides. The lobster poutine and lobster Mac & cheese were amazing. The chowder was good but very thick. Convenient location and great atmosphere.
Everything was delicious! Maine lobster roll, lobster mac n cheese and caramelized Brussels sprouts. Will definitely be back!
Everything was wonderful! We had lobster roll and lobster pops with lobster Mac n cheese! Clam chowder was the super yummy too!!
Recommended by a friend...excellent food and service. The cole slaw was wonderful! The lobster roll-amazing and we talked to our Massachusetts friends and the price was comparable...the only restaurant in Cincinnati to get a lobster roll!! Will definitely go back!
Lobster bisque was to die for.
Lobster roll was
Exceptional!! Will be back soon!
Stopped in here on a whim several months ago when I had a lobster craving and fell in love! We’ve been back several
times since and have not been disappointed. I continuously tell friends and family about this place! Our next visit we want to bring my sister and brother in law in to try as well! Great tasting food, good atmosphere and a wonderful alcohol selection! 5 !
Was in Cincinnati for a whole month, once I found this place I frequented a few times per week. Stellar food, great service!
One of the best smoked fish dips I’ve ever had; I order 2 at a time. The Shrimp Bánh mì is surprisingly juicy & refreshing. Worth a visit just for the two.
Amazing lobster roll!!! Best outside of New England!!! I'll be back!!! p.s. Cat..

We were a hard group to satisfy because 3 of 4 grew up on the East Coast. We LOVE all the food we ate. From our appetizer of poutine and crab cakes to the Lobster Mac and Cheese and Maine Lobster Rolls. The staff were very attentive. I can not wait to go back.
Delicious! We cannot wait to come back and try the other lobster roll options.
The Lobster roll and Lobster Bisque soup was amazing. If you are traveling to Cincinnati.... must make a lunch stop at the Court Street Lobster Bar
Awesome food and drinks! The summer salad with cantaloupe and prosciutto was so tasty and the lobster rolls are stuffed with big chunks of lobster.
Great lobster Mac and cheese 🧀 and the Brussels sprouts and bacon 🥓 🤤
Had an amazing scallop/lamb/lobster/wine pairing event this evening. Impeccable service, perfect drink pairings(large pours), all entrees cooked to the perfect temperature (lamb medium rare, and not an option), and gorgeous women in every direction. Everyone needs to check it out! I shall soon.
Second visit. As great as the first. You wouldn’t expect lobster this good anywhere outside New England but it really is. Lobster rolls and Mac-and-cheese. Beautiful and simple and delicious.
This place is pretty nice. The staff is friendly, prompt and notice you upon arrival. There is construction going on outside and at first it appears as if they are closed. I got the Maine Lobster roll and Lobster macaroni and cheese. (Yes my cholesterol recognizes that). The bread was perfectly buttered and toasted to perfection. The flavor of the mayo was not overpowering the taste of the lobster. Possibly because the lobster pieces are so large, some may love this but not what I was expecting. For me it is my only subjective comment, which is not worthy of taking away a star, and I know that is a personal preference. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. Very creamy, tasteful and just the right amount and size of lobster. Bathrooms are clean and they keep the tables cleaned and turned around pretty quick.
Lobster Roll was fantastic! Lobster was very well seasoned and cooked. The chips on the side were overly seasoned. I enjoyed the Lobster Mac and cheese, appreciate adding the lobster at a later stage in the cooking process. The shrimp cocktail was also very good with fresh shrimp. The crab fritters were my least favorite and the strawberry cake was descent. Service was on point.
This little place has been on court street for a few years but I hadn't tried it until today. We ended up getting a shrimp roll and a cod sandwich (which might be the best fish sandwich in town). Lobster is apparently expensive these days and the market price was $28, and for me that's a bit steep for 4 bites. The food is excellent but portions are small. There is a huge bar where you can eat, and lots of small tables but not many large tables due to the long skinny size of the restaurant.
Great place and yummy food! Nice atmosphere! As per the previous review on large lobster pieces, tho I would recommend that the big pieces of lobster be cut up in the roll so it would be easier to eat and enjoyed as a roll. Crab roll, creamed spinach, and lobster bisque is very yummy.
They do not have a noticeable sign in front, we had to look for it for 5 min before we can find it, so look for the 23 court st and it's directly across the street. Would not hurt to get a small LED sign?
Delicious lobster roll! 🦞 I tried the Connecticut style lobster roll tonight. The meat was very tender and perfectly prepared! I really liked the scallions and celery with the lobster! I also tried the hushpuppies, first time having honey butter with hush puppies, would recommend others to try.
Tastes just like new england. Really sweet waitress and the chef was nice as well. Definitely want to go back. Happy hour oysters were very fresh!

This was my first time having a lobster roll and Court Street Lobster Bar really loved up to the hype. I was also impressed with the Lobster Poutine. Salty, buttery, and savory, it was the best poutine I've have recently. Also, CSLB is right next to Queen City Exchange which is a cool place to have a pint before or after if you want a slightly larger draft list than what is offered at CSLB.
Visited with my kids on a Saturday early evening before 6p. Not too crowded and we were seated at a booth right away.
We ordered the Poutine Fries, a traditional Lobster Roll, Lobster “Pops”, and the Lobster mac-n-cheese.
The poutine fries....what else can you say? It’s French fries with gravy and lobster meat! It was rich and delicious but definitely a dish to share as it coats your ribs and insides it’s that rich.
The lobster roll was as you’d imagine it. Messy though. I cut the bun a bit more to keep the filling in, would be hard to eat on a first date since you’re licking or wiping your fingers half the time. But it was DELICIOUS! Big chunks of lobster meat and the right amount of sauce.
And the Lobster Mac....definitely a must....500+ calories later! Can’t go wrong with creamy Mac n cheese with pieces of lobster. My 10 year old loved it.
The disappointing dish was the Lobster pops. Deep fried pieces of lobster that didn’t taste like lobster at all. Just tasted like a piece of fried something. Should have known better....lobster deep fried in any shape or form is a no-no!
After two “Craft” colas and the 4 dishes mentioned, the bill was $70 and change. Pricey? Maybe....but worth the first trip since Cincinnati doesn’t have anything like it.
I’d go back for date night or a casual dinner with friends.
We have been coming here for a few years now - best lobster rolls (and lobster pot pie and lobster mac n cheese) around! Our server, Ray, this past time was excellent! Great weekly specials on food and drinks and all-around good time. Laidback atmosphere, but high quality food!
Quaint restaurant/bar in OTR. Fantastic overall experience, good ambiance, service, and music. Ordered lobster bisque, lobster roll, crab roll, hush puppies (must order) and pasta salad. Everything was fresh and timely. It's a tad pricey but what you'd expect for fresh seafood in Ohio and completely worth it
Small tucked away but comfy restaurant. Has some very good food. Like really good stuff. Lobster rolls in Lemon mayo sauce and vinegar salt chips. My goodness. P. S the lobster Mac and cheese. Wow 🇺🇸🍸❤️🦐
Updating and editing review, the surf and turf was amazing, as of about 8months ago it is no longer offered as i was told tonight by Chef on 9-29-20. Got a to go order tonight,as seen in picture Connecticut lobster roll, fries, and lobster Mac. All is very tasty. My total bill was 61 dollars. Two lobster rolls fries and Mac. My only complaint is that food was not under a warmer. When I arrived so it wasn't piping hot. It was not cold though. This is a common problem amongst places these days. No big deal just some insight... So great food great service even at an hr untill close. THE SURF AND TURF IS NO LONGER SERVED. MENU PICTURES IN REVIEW IS NOT COMPLETELY ACCURATE PLEASE CALL BEFORE GOING AS MENUS DO UNDER GO CHANGES.
Delicious food served fast. Was very loud, but I'm also older than their normal clientele and we visited early in the evening. Maybe later when it's more "bar" than lobster place the volume would have seemed more fitting and less jarring.
Great spot for some wine and good snacks. A combo of an appetizer or a soup and a roll was good enough for me to feel full and yet not feel bloated. The clam chowder was prepared to perfection and the main course was great too. It's a new bar with good ambience. Highly recommend it.
Excellent place to grab a lobster roll or salmon burger. You can tell that the owners have made sure every part of every dish is made to compliment each other. I loved the house made salt and vinegar chips, worth taking home q couple orders!
Food was excellent. Got the surf and turf. Steak was cooked perfectly. Lobster was wonderful. Cocktails were extremely fresh. Only reason it was not a 5 star is slow service, but the people were nice.
The lobster in the lobster roll felt cold from the inside - I suspect it was frozen which makes sense since we do live in Ohio but a little disappointing. The cod roll gets a solid 5/5 - it was very good and one of the cheaper things on the menu. Sangria was also delicious!
First time at the Court Street Lobster Bar, we enjoyed the clam chowder. My husband and I split a cup as an appetizer, I can't imagine having a bowl of that to myself! I got the roll special, salmon with coconut and a warm curry cream sauce,it was perfectly cooked and delicious. He got the lobster roll and noted that they got the roll just right, which a lot of places struggle to do. The lobster in it was very good. We just got back from Maine a week ago, where we ate lobster every day. Since we couldn't be there, this was a great backup. Good service as well.
