Great Downtown lunch spot. Awesome staff and food is quick and delicious.
I had the roast beef melt..great sandwich. I choose to pare it with a cup of the mock turtle soup, i was not disappointed. I could eat two bowls of that stuff.
Any if your down in the business district for lunch lunch lunch lunch, Silver Ladle is worth a try.
Lunch Spot. In my opinion: Soups are okay... Not a bad place to grab lunch. /// Update: We had these guys cater a retirement luncheon at my office and they ROCKED it!
Yummy Chicken Chili. I love Silver Ladle's take on the traditional Cincinnati-style chili. While I find most chilis around here to be sort of watery and bland, their chicken chili is hearty, rich and flavorful. I love it on their open-faced coney with lots of cheese, sour cream and jalapenos. If you like Cincinnati chili, Silver Ladle is definitely worth a stop! Everything else I've had there is good, too, but the chili is a stand-out.
OK restaurant + Delicious Chicken Chili = Great Restaurant. The chicken chili is amazing and for that alone, this place should be commended.
Awesome!. Went to try this place with coworkers for lunch and it was a great experience! I got the pulled park bbq sandwhich which came with fries and a drink (it was the daily special or something). It was delicious! The fries are especially yummy. The people working were really nice and the service was VERY fast considering the variety on the menu! We all got something different, and everyone enjoyed what they got and we are excited to go back and try something new! YUM!
Great Food Great Value. I have eaten at Silver Ladle several times, each time trying something different- one item better than the last! The soups are amazing, the sandwiches are fresh and tasty- The Burgers- WOW! Every item is great. The value is also very good, priced right and perfect portions. For a fast lunch or dinners to go, this is the place in downtown!
Yummy. Great new place for lunch downtown. Don't let the long line deter you.....it moves pretty fast. The menu selections are great - the hot ham & gouda was a big hit, loved the pretzel roll it comes on.
Surprise for Lunch. I was walking with a friend to look for lunch and we came upon the opening of this new restaurant. I had the Hawaiian Burger and Fries, and my friend had the Stuffed Mushroom Burger with Tomato Basil soup. The Hawaiian Burger was Fantastic! I was so stuffed I could not eat the fries (the fries cost was seperate, so I would consider this next time). My friend enjoyed the stuffed mushroom, however "stuffed" means filling in between two thin burger patties. She like the soup but it was a tiny tiny bowl and they ask for $1.99 extra as a side to the sandwich, but you are so full with the sandwichs that you will not mind the smalll sides. Drinks come in one size and is great if you are dining in, don't get it to go. The prices are good and I dare anyone to say they are expensive when they use ingrediants and bread that make your mouth drool. Next time I will try the chili. I hear the owner is the great grandson of the founders of Skyline, so you know the have the actual "secret" recipe. Can't wait till next time.......
On this visit I decided that I definitely wanted to try their award-winning Cincinnati style chicken chili. If you work downtown and have not given it a try, you should definitely give it a go tomorrow for lunch.
If the flavors seem familiar, it's because the owner's DNA matches those who'd founded the Skyline Chili chain. Owner Tim Lambrinides expands upon his father's West Side restaurant, Nick & Tom's, taking a family chili recipe and using it as the cornerstone for Silver Ladle
While I didn't love my sandwich - I did definitely like it enough to go back...and get more ranch.
Another great lunch spot downtown / by Fountain Square. Gets busy, but the line moves fast plus you can order online for pickup.
The Pick Two (out of soup, salad or half sandwich) is a great deal. The Club Salad and cup of Chicken Chili was very filling. Plus, it comes with a drink.
My friend enjoyed her loaded baked potato soup. They also have good cookies. Prices were reasonable.
It was fantastic food the chix salad was delicious and the chix gumbo had tons of flavor. Nice day to sit outside and enjoy lunch.
I love this place. Whenever I'm near I stop in for lunch. I love the sandwiches and especially the soup. Today I'm having the chicken Cincinnati chili with black bean sauce, cheddar cheese and sour cream. I was so surprised when they brought out this massive plate! I hardly made a dent in it. Had to save the rest for tomorrow. Highly recommend you give them a try.
Love this place! Had the best salad today - the honey mustard chicken salad - delicious but everything here is good. Sandwiches, soup, chili, it's all good. Staff is friendly and my order is always ready and waiting for me!!!!
I ordered a salad with crispy chicken and it had a honey mustard dressing. It was good and simple. My friend ordered a burger and it came with fries. Fries were good, I ordered my own because they didn’t want to share lol.
This is a very happening spot. This way first visit but I understand why the line is at the door! The dishes I had were great! I will definitely return.
Yummy food. I've eaten there mutiple times with coworkers. Great selections on the menu.
One of my favorite places to eat lunch when working downtown. So many options to please any group, quick service, good prices, and they keep the place clean and friendly.
Their chili is actually pretty good, the loaded baked potato soup is my favorite menu item.
Very tasty and affordable soup and salad combos. I ate here three times this week on a business trip and each time was as good as the first. I came here in person after eating and enjoying their catering during an earlier trip. It's a no frills lunchtime restaurant, but the staff was fast and friendly.
Always good food and great service. My favorite place to get onion soup for lunch.
