First time there after reading so many positive reviews about their Chicago style pizza. Got a large pie which was plenty for 4 people. It was delicious! So glad to know that when we're craving a Chicago style pizza, we can get one here in Cincy. 😋 (Also splurged on a homemade dessert - caramel brownie - highly recommend.)
This place a nice little spot! We had both the deep dish and a regular pizza and they were both great. The sauce is a little too sweet for my taste, but it was delicious! Definitely worth eating here than driving 4 hours to get a true Chicago deep dish.
This place is awesome and has become one of my favorite lunch spots. I haven't had anything I didn't like. The soup is amazing, the garlic dressed salad is so good. The pizzas are great. I would definitely recommend. Save room for dessert. The servers are very attentive. Worth a visit.
We wanted an UNO's alternate since it closed and this place was rated well for deep dish so we gave it a shot.
Looks like a local favorite as it was packed. Parking tough. Wait about 1omins on a Friday night so not bad. The staff were super friendly and even brought out a sample of the Hungarian Mushroom soup to try.
The pizza wasn't UNOs as it wasn't flaky crust. It was a thin crust shell but made deep. Flavor was decent but not as robust in flavor as UNOs. Overall really good but it just wasn't quite what we wanted.
Great atmosphere - very homie and comfy and overall a fine evening out to try something new in town.
Really enjoyed the Chicago style pizza. It was pretty authentic and the sauce was terrific. We also split a Caesar salad and loved the dressing. I like the homey atmosphere as well. You should check them out.
Small town Italian dining at its best. Walking into this place is like walking into your Italian friends dining room. Warm, cozy and charming. Great selection of beer and wine, generous portions and delicious desserts. Small parking lot so it fills up quickly. Excellent for take out.
Fantastic pizza with so much cheese it was perfect! Great environment and ambiance. Our wait was a little long but that’s ok…. We were not in rush so it gave us more time to enjoy the overall evening.
This was our first time trying Werkhaus Pizza and we were right outside of the delivery area which was disappointing but decided to just go it. Placed the order 30-35 minutes later we arrived and realized I forgot my wallet. Drove back and got my wallet and was irrationally thinking this better be awesome or there is no way I'm coming back. Walk in and the staff was genuinely friendly and talkative. Once I got home and opened the pizza I was very happy. I never really liked Chicago style pizza because of the sloppiness. This was Chicago style perfected. Tasted good too! So happy someone recommended this place! We will be back for in haus dining. Please extend the delivery area! :)
Everything about our experience was great and can't wait to go back!
They have some really amazing pizza. We had the Chicago stuffed pizza and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The food was great. The service was prompt. They kept the drinks full. The prices were very low. I highly recommend this restaurant. If I'm ever in the Cincinnati area again, I will definitely be coming back here.
Everything was so good. Fresh and homemade....we are stuffed and couldn't eat half of the stuffed pizza. It's an old house converted into a restaurant so it's quaint and not fancy but unique all the same.
Some of the best stuffed pizza in the city. And random flavors such as the dill Pickle pizza hit the spot for my girlfriend. Closed at 10pm, ordered take out at 915pm and it still tasted fresh and ready!
Our first visit to Werkhaus. Terrific Chicago style pizza! We also enjoyed the antipasto salad (warm bacon on salad - yum!) with Italian dressing. Very West Side vibe. One tip, stay with the house wines.
Great pizza and atmosphere. The desserts looked good, too. Wish I had saved room to try them.
We had the nicest dinner! Our waitress was a huge music fan and I truly enjoyed hearing her concert stories. The food was excellent as well!
One of the few places in Cinci to get Chicago style pizza. So good. Also tried their PB&J pizza - what - what a great idea!
We ordered a large werks pizza, which is basically a supreme and added xtra-cheese. They quoted 25 min and about 25 bucks. It was hot and ready when my fiance picked it up, was still hot about 15 min later. I will be 100% honest, its good pizza, but nothing special. Now that doesnt mean anything bad, its just nothing I would travel an hour for. (if I had to) The reg, not stuffed, pizza is a basic hand tossed kinda pizza, sauce was good, topping were good (there was alot of meat and cheese), might have been a lil heavy handed with the green peppers, but the ton of meat and extra cheese helped that. The toppings seems to be more towards the middle 2/3 of the pizza and much less towards the outer edge. Now it is an edge to edge pizza, so no crust, but that is not a deal breaker. Due to the amount of veg and meat, there was a TON of water and some grease from all the toppings, but we at efast enough to not have to worry about soggy pizza. Any leftovers will have to sit on some heavy duty paper towels to sop up all that liquid, before you pack it up for the fridge.
Price was acceptable, as it was a good pizza. My fiance said that she would want this over the big chain pizza places and some of the smaller local ones as well. This seems to be one of the places that CAN beat the HUT! lol All in all, pretty good pizza.
