He makes the best burgers and banana shakes ever.. 🤤 I've been visiting Sam's for years, since he first started with Rita's on the corner of Old Auburn and Auburn Ave in Citrus Heights. Wow, 20 to 30 years ago. Time flies, dang. We're moving out of California soon. So, we've been there 5 times so far in a month, just can't get tired of this place. We will miss his burgers and banana shakes, big time. 😥
Always a great meal and good service. This place is tucked back away from the street a little but the sign is visible from either direction. The menu is simple and typical of a classic burger joint. Prices are very reasonable. Highly reccomend this place.
This was my first time at Sam's. I've driven by and wondered if their burgers were good. I got a cheeseburger, small fries, and large strawberry shake, came to about $14. The patty was thin just how I like it, they also offer double and triple burgers. I ordered it with everything and it was perfect for my taste, finely chopped onion and lettuce, and tomato. The fries were perfectly crispy, like the oil was so clean, amazing. The strawberry shake was yummy with strawberry chunks to get stuck in my straw. It was a delicious meal, and I will be back! The order came out about 7 minutes after placing. I like this place.
ROOT BEER FREEZE!! The only place in town to get a root beer freeze and not spend an arm and a leg doing so. Constantly delicious. Cheeseburgers and fries are great. Fried zucchini and mushrooms or onion rings are good too. They cut the hotdog and fry it on the grill like you should. My son likes the chili dog. Just a little mom and pop shop. Support small business!
Fresh burgers and super good BLT. It was lunch time with 4 other customers before us. We ordered 2 burgers a chili dog, grilled cheese and a BLT. Everything was done quickly and hot!!
I genuinely enjoyed the food here. My family and I ordered a double cheeseburger, a triple cheese burger, and 2 BLTs with large fries, fried mushrooms, 1 large coke, 2 medium cokes, and 1 milk shake. The milk shake was delicious and went very well with the food. Not too thick. I loved the fried mushrooms, I'd never had any like that before. Very unique. The burgers were nice and the BLT was great! The pricing was kind of expensive but for the experience of trying a new place out and having everything taste amazing was worth it. I'd go again. I recommend trying this place out if you haven't. ☺️

Always a good place to go! Never had an issue with any food. If they took card instead of cash only I'd rate 5 stars.
Wow, way better than In-n-Out! The burgers are huge, juicy and delicious! Sm Fries were a very large bag of fries and would easily be enough for two people to share. Chocolate Peanut butter milk shake was delicious as well! Overall experience is way better than any chain burger places.. We'll be back for sure!
