I like Tex-Mex....if you want Mexican I don't think this is the spot but for Tex-Mex its pretty darn good. My go-to is the Chicken Flautas ..little corn tortillas filled with chicken then fried and topped with red chipotle sauce. But my mail reason for going is to get the creamy jalapeno dip...this stuff is like green crack!! I put it on everything and still cant get enough.
I'm so glad that Chuy's came to Indiana. I grew up eating there as a kid and teen in Dallas, and to me it's a taste of home. Delicious tex mex food, homemade flour tortillas, and killer queso dip. The only place I've found so far to get an authentic swirl frozen Margarita, and the bartender actually knows what you're asking for. The decor inside is fun and funky, the way Chuy's ought to be. Love it!
Bf loves Chuy's and I liked it okay until recently and now I really like it. It's Tex-Mex. I really like the chips, which are kind of light and crispy. I like the salsa and queso as well. It took me awhile to settle on an entree I liked. I finally found that I really like the chili rellenos and the enchiladas, especially the spicy chick-a-boom-boom.
The service has usually been good and sometimes we've gone during happy hour at the bar where they have free queso, chips, and salsa. It's inexpensive and a nice atmosphere inside. There are better options if you're looking to go authentic, but Chuy's is a nice Tex-Mex option.
Fish tacos are where it's at! Every time I've been the service has been good!
...not for sissy's. Spicy and Delicious! I thought this was going to be a Tumbleweed redone. My husband almost had to drag me in the doors. BUT, I was mistaken! The restaurant is colorful, fun, and you can watch homemade tortillas made right in front of you. The key to this place like any, is finding your dishes. Me and my husband both like SPICY food and Chuys can deliver. We asked a waiter and he was glad to help us pick dishes to try. To start with...Their salsa (which is more like a pico) can be mild and sometimes not, but it has always been slightly too much lime for me. We still like it, because we love mexican food flavors. The queso is slightly different than most others, and we get it everytime, and really like it. They also have a creamy jalapeno sauce to dip their perfectly crispy thin chips in, which is absolutely fantastic on the days the jalepenos are spicy enough! The sauce is like a spicy ranch dressing, but don't just judge, ask for some and try it, it is excellent! We are usually getting full on these chips before our dinners arrive, but always make room for the flavors to come! My favorite dish is the Steak and cheese burrito with Hatch green chile sauce! I have never liked or even ordered green chiles until Chuy's and now I love this dinner. The churro beans are tasty with cilantro. The rice that comes with this is very flavorful too. But this is not for sissy's, it is usually kind of HOT. Last time we went my husband got a chimichanga with queso sauce, and it was the best chimichanga I have ever ate! The sauce was on the plate and the chimi on top, which kept the crust flaky and crispy! Awesome flavor contrast in your mouth! No soggy crust, WOW, I never thought I would enjoy a chimi so much! Well, we have been about 6 times in the last few months and the service is usually excellent! I recommend trying this restaurant and retrying it if you aren't sure. Each time I go, I like it more!
Pretty good. Appetizers were very good. It was obvious that the salsa, chips, and queso were all made fresh. Entrees were not the same quality, but still decent overall. I would return.
Wife and I always enjoy Chuy's, and it's no wonder given the great food choices and presentations. Their offerings show quality which shows they care about getting it right. Wife's fave is the Panchos, and my fave is the Elvis Memorial. The thin freshly made chips and to-die-for fresh salsa is always a welcomed pleaser to start off with. Top this with a great staff and you've a 5 star dining venue!
If you have a craving for American Mexican food, this is the place you are looking for. The food is full of flavor and their chips and queso is amazing. Definitely worth your money.
Some of us from work all got together for some drinks. They have the best salsa & jalapeño dip for chips. I had the Boom Boom Chicken and it was just out of this world! We had a great time and the atmosphere was excellent and so laid back. Service was excellent. First time there and I will make this my new place to go too.
Pretty much always a win. Consistent yummy food. Go for happy hour when the trunk is open and queso etc is all you can eat, and free!
A little tight for my wheelchair. Hate having to ask people to stand to maneuver through, but it is possible to get around. Will check our bathroom accessibility next trip.. lots of delivery lately.
AWESOME experience! First time there and I definitely will be back. The atmosphere , food and waitress was outstanding. If I could give 20 stars I would ... Plus, the portions are so big u get another meal for the next day 😉
Mouth-watering amazing! Tiana did a fantastic job! Nachos and tacos were simply devine! This is the second location we have tried and I still stand by my statement: Best Tex-Mex since Chi Chi’s! 🤤
