Smooth and creamy...some of the best ice cream I have ever had

My wife has been telling me about this place for years. But since we rarely get to the area I never remember it's there. We planned a day trip to see the Georgia Guidestones and noted that '55 Exchange was just a short distance from our route. We arrived shortly before 1700, (5pm for you non military types), and the line was out the door. My wife told me that the line is normal. '55 Exchange has limited days and hours of operation so it's best to verify they will be open. Ice cream flavors are limited but are rotated. All of the ice cream comes fron Clemsons own dairy cows as does the Clemson Bleu cheese. In addition to the standard flavors, Clemson own flavors are a staple. Tammy had a hot fudge sundae, Calvin had an Orange Tiger Cream milkshake, and I had a waffle cone with 2 scoops of their Gold Tiger. The waffle cones are made right there in the shop. Calvin said it was the best shake he has ever had. My cone was the best I've ever had. The young ladies working that day did a very good job of keeping the line moving and were very nice. A nice bonus is the prices. The prices are very reasonable and lower than many ice cream shoppers. If you're in the area and have a craving for ice cream go give them a try.

OMG, the lemon custard. Probably my fave icee cream within a 200 mile radius. It's That Good.

Great shakes, malts, and ice cream. Even the dairy free was delicious.

I keep telling people "it's straight from the cow!" The ice cream is soooooo creamy and fresh! Doesn't taste like it has any of those extra ingredients with the long names that you see on the side of some other in-store bought ice cream. THIS IS THE BEST FOR YOUR TASTE BUDS!
