Charming little neighborhood bar. Small menu but all the food was good. Wings were huge. Drinks were strong and tasty. I had the academy burger. Delicious. Huge. Rings were plentiful. Partner had the fries and they were also good.

Amazing vibe, authentic feel, and friendly staff. Chris & Jessica (the owners) are extremely hospitable. The Academy is one of my favorite places to go with friends. Todd provides top of the line service no matter the size of the crowd. *Side note: the wings are AMAZING! Garlic Parmesan (pictured) is my go to flavor! The Drink: Go Blue Update (as of 04/01/2022): Fish Fry Fridays during Lent are amazing! I had the Fried Pike combo (w/ fries, & coleslaw). Ridiculously delicious! And the size of the meal is definitely a shareable size! Next drink: Jameson Orange Lemonade— it’s a game changer. Love love love this drink. It’s smooth and tasty, and does what you want it to do 🍹

Summary: great service and food along with strong drinks. Can’t go wrong here. Such an awesome and unpretentious neighborhood dive bar (and I mean that in the absolute best way possible)! Food selection is limited, but the Academy Burger and Thai wings are amazing. Probably the best bar grub I’ve ever had. Drinks are incredibly strong (but I’m certainly not complaining). Prices are a bargain to say the least ($7 for a double vodka soda). The bartenders are chill and friendly. Angel was great! This is definitely my new spot when I’m in Cleveland for work!

I stopped by after work for a beer and some food. I've had their wings before and they're pretty tasty, maybe a little overcooked but if you like dry wings these are for you. I've worked in a pub that sold wings so I get it. The atmosphere is super casual and friendly. The staff was pleasant and the service was prompt. Not much else to ask for. Will visit again.

I held a gathering after my mother's memorial for those who couldn't make it during the day. The owner is from Shaker Heights High School, so I thought it would be a great place for old classmates to reconnect. The owner was so hospitable! We had the entire back indoor area, and it was perfect. They have music, good food and drinks. Some of my guests went outside in the patio area, which was great since Covid-19 is coming back. I will be back and will hold another gathering there for sure.

Todd was a great bartender. Food was average but not too bad. The holiday ale was great (can't remember the name) but it had peachy flavor.

Low key chill neighborhood bar. Like the wings and burgers. Top shelf drinks a lil pricey. Overall its a nice place to go to. No drama . Need red bulls and better wine choices

My family celebrated my cousin Jovonne Rivers, going home with the Big Guy upstairs, last night. We-had-a-ball! The music, service, and energy was amazing! Thank you guys, for considering us a part of your family. Oh! The drinks were on point too!

Just moved to the area and stopped in for a drink. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. A nice quiet locals tavern with vintage style. I'll definitely be going back to try the food soon. Update: new owners run it now and are super friendly and make you feel welcome. Larger crowds come evening present a different atmosphere from the previous dive bar. Can still be quiet in the early afternoon. Menu is somewhat limited since covid. Always activities, trivia, live music on outdoor patio and sometimes indoors, weather dependant. And more. Revived for a younger crowd. It's much more a social bar now with lots to do and ppl to meet, but not really my style anymore. Very different vibe but still a friendly one.

Entrance was not wheelchair friendly, but was easily navigated. Was expecting average bar fare, was BLOWN AWAY. The Burger was cooked perfectly and I really have no words for how amazing the fries are. Bar staff super friendly and attentive.

I was just passing thru and stopped. It was a perfect burger, perfect onion rings, and really nice staff. Definitely felt local, not fussy nor pretentious. Just a great place to grab a quick meal off the freeway. I didn't mind the packets; in truth they even offered malt vinegar, which is the very best way to eat French fries!

So, if you're looking for a "neighborhood" bar in a neighborhood that is racially, economically and age integrated, this is the place for you! The Academy is actually what hipster locations pretend to be. The outside space feels like a backyard designed by your super creative financially strapped friend. The inside is dim and intimate. The menu is simple and straightforward (burger, grilled cheese, etc.). Lastly, the bartender feels like a permanent fixture that will ensure you feel right at home. If you find yourself in the Larchmere area, ENJOY!

Relaxing pub to sit and eat and drink with cat for company. Food and drink came in plastic disposable ware, but probably because we came in the middle of the afternoon.
