I love the Candlelight it is my favorite restaurant by far in Clinton. Everything is 5 star to me from the service up to amazing food. I highly recommend this place. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating..
I came for the chicken George, i left in love with this place. The view from the deck was so serene....i melted into the moment. The staff spoiled me and their service was impeccable. The food was perfect in taste and presentation. Don't pass this opportunity.

My husband and I recently took a drive from a Chicago suburb to the Mississippi River. When walking along the river, we saw the Candelight Inn. We decided to have a beverage and lunch while sitting outside. Our wait staff was polite and efficient. He was even willing to accommodate us with an inside table if the bees became troublesome. We enjoyed a delicious meal outside on the spacious patio. The food was very good and the portions were sizeable. We will definitely return if ever back in the area.
The service was great, our waiter was the best, the food was awesome, could have been a bit warmer. Had a great birthday with James,Jessie and Carson.
The best chicken and catfish I have ever eaten...The catfish is served beautifully and so delicious....Great atmosphere....

I was a long wait, the restaurant was very busy. We sat at the bar and ordered cocktails, we enjoyed conversation with a few people around us. When we did get seated the wait staff was wonderful, very attentive, engaging and accommodating.
The food was very good. We had Chicken George as an appetizer, that was wonderful.
The ambiance and view were very pleasant. The time that Scott and I spent together and the whole experience was very prefect. We will be back.
I was also very impressed with the teamwork of the management, wait staff, bussers and bartenders.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our lunch. Great view and natural lighting. Service was really good. Adam was a really nice guy! Menu was broad with a little bit of everything, and will definitely be back for some George 🐥
We had a delicious meal at the Candlelight Inn for my parents' 54th wedding anniversary. The waitress was amazing, and sitting outside on a beautiful summer night with the fantastic river view helped make the evening perfect. Will be back soon!
Really great food and service! This was a nice experience while visiting Clinton, Iowa. The food was fresh, tasty, and hot! The onion rings were amazing! And the salmon Rockefeller didn't disappoint! We also had a nice view from the windows of the frozen Mississippi
Fabulous food, excellent service. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Justine provided excellent service. Everyone was super nice, especially seating us at a table where my wife cloud scoot up with her battery scooter. The view was spectacular. Shown are the 12oz Pirme Ribeye, and the Chicken of the Sea (1/2# Chicken George and 5 shrimp) . Steak very tasty, Chicken was super. We will definitely go back!

Went there for my birthday. It was a nice but humid day so we sat inside. You can still see the river because the windows are huge. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Our server Olivia was really nice and pleasant. Everything was clean and sanitized. There is outside seating.
I took my wife my moth and my sister here for Mother’s Day. We all was very pleased and impressed with the service even though we could tell the server’s ect had already had a long busy day with customers and being on their feet. The food was Fantastic! My steak cooked exactly how I asked the Chicken George my mother ordered was amazing my wife ordered chicken Alfredo and my sister ordered the tortellini which both didn’t stand a chance they was so good! The portions was great we definitely wasn’t and didn’t leave there hungry and the price of all four of us was around $114.00 which was even better! The Candlelight Inn Restaurant sits right on the Mississippi River so we had a great view.
The first time I had the Chicken George a year ago it was tough and dry. But today it was perfect. That said, the staff is always friendly and the view of the Mississippi is the best.
