Go to Jake's Immediately!!!!!! Trust me it is Heaven for carnivores. First good sign: smokers fired up outside--you can smell it driving down the street. Once inside, one good whiff and you will know you are in the right place. Huge portions, perfect crust, great smoke flavor, all the condiments... I suggest trying the pit beef and putting horseradish and the special "hot sauce" they make-it's great. The guys treat you right too. Please note the place is called "Jake's Grill".
Been going hear for years. Once rolled up with my buddys and we had 20$ all together, hooked us all up saying "no one leaves here hungry". Went dozens of times with my ma, always gives her a flower. Went there for a few ravens game, all you can eat buffet style at a good price. Jakes is the place and jake is the man.
Terrific. The Beef Sandwich is incredible. The ribs are great. Great Food, great people, great prices.
Best of the Rest!. Jake's was recommended to me by a friend. I expected "good" but was thrilled by "fantastic"! The meat is unbelievable - extremely tender & full of real smoked flavor. I go there with my son & or husband a couple times a month. We've tried just about everything & have never been disappointed! Everyone there is always friendly & helpful. Jake's is always a treat!
You MUST give this place a try if you like the kind of BBQ your grandpa made. Juicy, saucey, fall off the bone ribs. Juicy pulled Pork that is just a little bit spicy. Amazing Mac and Cheese. Authentic and juicy pit beef. Fantastic smoked sliced turkey. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I've had this a couple times from other folks that let me try it, but this was my first time going there and trying it fresh. It's honestly amazing fresh, and just as good for later.
It's easy to find on the side of the road, but parking is limited to maybe 10 or 12 cars. There's limited outdoor seating if you want to eat there. Everyone working is incredibly welcoming and friendly. How can you not be when the smokers out front are fired up and you're smelling that delicious all day long?
Highly encourage you to give it a try. About a 20 minute drive north of Baltimore.

I only wish that I had known in advance that the pork bbq was spicy prior to ordering. Since I couldn’t eat the pork bbq, I then ordered the turkey sandwich. The turkey on the turkey sandwich was processed; however, it was served hot and juicy. The sides were delicious and homemade.
The prices are such that you could feed two people with $12. This establishment has generous portions. What a great find!
Amazing gem! First time here and the staff made me feel as if I knew them forever. Amazing customer service. And the delicious food is the cherry on top. So glad I found this place. I would definitely return!
The food is immaculate. Tasting! Ithe stuff the sandwiches with a good amount of whatever you want. The location is a little rough, as it is easy to ride right past it. The service is cool. They close early, so, you are best to go grab sandwiches for lunch, as that is the only option.
Glad to have a place like this out in the suburbs. Always good food...I stop here whenever I want a sandwich the size of my head. As an added bonus, you get to feel like an insider for knowing it even exists. There are a couple other pit beef spots in town, but I always come here. Those other spots probably charge a little extra for their fancy amenities like "proper seating" and "signage".
Well I like to say a few thing about this place just .. finger licking good. Ribs pit beef .. I have tried it all close to a house I was working at this year it my go to spot even if I have a packed lunch
Jake's is the best pit beef in Baltimore, period. And I've had them all. Additionally, they give WAY more meat than the competition, and Jake's prices are lower.
I've been coming to Jake's off and on for roughly a decade, and it's amazing how consistent the food is. It's always exactly how I remember it, and served to order at your preferred temp (where other places only serve it well done).
They've got excellent pit turkey as well plus great sides.
The food here is always excellent!!!! The sandwiches are piled high with tasty beef,turkey or chicken, the beef is offered however you like it, medium,well done you name it and they will pile it on for you!! The Mac and cheese is excellent and you get a great portion!! And the price,,,,,,,,, you clearly get way more then you pay for,,
They take your order,they get the order right every time and they hustle to get you in and out fast!! First class customer service i strong urge everyone to stop in and grab some food you won’t be disappointed
