The food is very good! Our chef was Vietnamese and he taught us how to say thank you in Vietnamese. He was very friendly and made us laugh!.
It's important to reserve because it's a small place or to arrive earlier than the busy hours, there is plenty space for parking.
The sake was good we ordered shrimp and steak!.
Everything about our experience here was amazing. They kindly greeted us immediately on a Saturday evening. The service was fantastic. Our Chef was fun and interactive. The food was very tasty. We will definitely be back soon.
I personally could not ask for more. Service was excellent. We were seated quickly. Our order was taken promptly after we were seated. Soup and salad came shortly after that. The server was specifically attentive. I accidentally made eye contact with the server in a moment where I did not need anything, but she immediately came over to us and asked if we needed anything. The chef was funny, entertaining, and the food was delicious. Let's be honest...half the reason we go to hibachi is for the yum yum sauce. Usually a restaurant puts a dish next to you and fills it full of yum yum sauce. Then you pour it on your food and ask for another. This restaurant doesn't bother with that. They just sit a huge bottle in front of you and say do as you please. We had a great experience at this restaurant, and would recommend to anyone.
This place is a wonder, and has been for over 20 years here in Cocoa Beach! The food and hibachi show are still great every time we go. The service is slow at times, but detail oriented. You don't even notice some of the super stealthy refills. The food is SUPERB! The portions do seem slightly smaller than they used to be, but you still basically get dinner and lunch for the next day. Cooked to order right in front of you with a show. The cooks are personable and funny. If you have a special event, go here! If you like hibachi, go here! If you have never had hibachi, GO Here! They will teach you the ways of hibachi. I'll be back, back again soon.
The first time eating here and it was a fun experience! The food was good. I got the steak and shrimp. The steak was so tender that it melted in my mouth! YUM!!!! The veggies were cooked perfectly. The portions were huge and enough for another full meal. The venue is kinda small, but the staff made up for it with great, quick, and friendly service. Will definitely be back my next trip down.
Have had several trips before and the food and service has always Been good…but bringing my 8 month old tonight along with 3.5 year old, was extra fun! Thanks to Kevin for keeping both my boys engaged! We had a great dinner!
Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse- Cocoa Beach, FL- 4 Stars
“I'm sure one of the frustrations of being a Western enthusiast of Japanese food and culture is you're confronted every day with the absolute certainty that you will die ignorant.” – A. Bourdain
One of the reasons I dislike coming to Cocoa Beach for reviews is that there are 100 restaurants and the majority are clip joints or tourist milkers. Don't misunderstand me here, I'm not knocking the tourists, I love not having a state income tax, I am, however; knocking those that rip them off as they give other proprietors, the area and the state, in general, a bad name.
Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse is a joint in the Teppanyaki style of food prep. If you are unfamiliar, this is the style that was invented in Japan post-WWII by an enterprising entrepreneur by the name of Shigeji Fujioka of the Misono chain of restaurants in Japan. Most of us here in America know this style from the Benihana restaurant chain. Certainly a tourist trap, it boasted a fun touristy décor and a light warmhearted staff.
My waitress was Davina and she is on top of things, prompt and 4000 times better than Amber in my previous dining experience in Cocoa Beach. Being served by a professional of Davina's caliber finally brought my blood pressure back down from dealing with the aforementioned Amber. I asked Davina for the Surf and Turf with Scallops and medium-rare bovine. After taking the orders of the rest of the table, Davina disappeared to the back and we soon saw our chef wheeling his cart of culinary destruction to our table.
Everyone knows that half of this dining experience is the show the chef puts on and this guy, while his name escapes me at the nonce, put on a hell of a show. He was awesome and the food was downright wonderful. Grilling sliced steak medium-rare is not for the novice and this chap pulled it off in spectacular fashion. The Scallops, while slightly overdone for my taste, were delightfully flavored and left a succulent aftertaste. The salad was fresh, crisp and accompanied by the obligatory ginger-sesame dressing and I found the fried rice, while not my favorite item in the world, to be cooked properly with crisp veggies and properly seasoned.
I always enjoy having my food prepared in front of me. This place is technically not in Cocoa Beach proper (this is no-man's land) this must be why the food is so much better.
The Big Boy says, “If you are in the mood for some tasty grub, a good show and a fun time, give this place a try! #bigboydiningout #bigboy
A little extra salt and pepper in the food never hurts, but I understand “you can always add but never subtract” with food. But nonetheless the service is exceptional here and I find myself here twice a month. Absolutely love it!
Excellent experience, very satisfying food! Visiting from Georgia, craving hibachi - this place made it happen! The chef had a great personality, service was on point, food was delish (and plenty to take home for leftovers).
Didn’t have a reservation but they managed to fit us in even though they were busy. Had a great dinner to celebrate my sons birthday. Customer service and the food were great. Would definitely go again.
Absolutely perfect and what you can expect. We had a really nice dinner, even our young daughter had fun. Also met with very nice people at our table. A lovely evening
Small place with 4 grills. Chef was entertaining and food was delicious. Bathrooms were clean. I chose the lunch special for 14.95 and it was worth it. I will be back.
The Tokyo Japanese Steak House in Cocoa Beach is a great place to have a hibachi dinner cooked right in front of you. We had a short wait, but it was dinner time and the place was packed. The food was spectacular. Very well done. They have a few specialty drinks for adults and a few choices for beer. But the dinner and the show is why you will want to go.
The food is really good, the staff members were nice, our chef was pretty good, not the best showman, but thats okay. the place is really loud, tables are close together, so your in the middle of every conversation around you...
Omg. You might think this isn't alot of food but they give you alot..I ate 1/2 before I took the picture...we ordered waters and so a chicken dinner plus a steak & scallop dinner cost $52 before a tip. Total worth it, they do a food show with some haha jokes, tables hold 8 people. You know I will be going back for more..mmmm
Super yummy hibachi. I was seated right away. I had the chicken and steak combo. Everything was made with in front of you and we had entertainment from our cook.
Absolutely cannot beat the lunch special anywhere on the beach! Great food!
Dine in is highly reccomended, the chefs are very talented and funny if you have little one. Grab a table for nine or share with another family.
