Mad Taco has a lot going for it, good vibe, decent food and flights of margaritas. They were short staffed the day we went, but I forgive them, it was graduation week at A&M (the reason for our visit).
I almost don’t know where to start. The tacos are delicious!!! The food is reasonably priced and the quality is very high. The margaritas are something special. I’ve been to several places that have “margarita flights” but this place tops them all! I highly recommend you come and enjoy the food/drinks.
Thank you Mad Taco Catering for saving our last minute party. The food was fantastic and everybody loved it; almost everybody even made a plate to take home with them after the party. Your recommendations were perfect. I really thought the fajita beef would be the most popular, and it was very good, but the chili rubbed chicken stole the show; it was incredible. I was surprised by how well the warming trays worked, and recommend them. They were very inexpensive and kept the food at the perfect temperature for hours. I was also surprised by the amount of fixings (lettuce/cabbage, cheese, sauces, etc.) you supplied - more than enough. Thanks again! We will definitely use your catering services again.
Pro Tip: If you're picking up the order, arrive early and enjoy a margarita at the bar while you wait.
Grabbed a quick lunch at this restaurant today with my wife, based upon the recommendation of my daughter and her boyfriend. First off, think Torchy’s or Fuego’s—fun, fancy tacos with good, fresh ingredients. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken taco. It was similar to the Brushfire at Torchy’s without the heat and with a very thick, handmade tortilla (fry bread is probably a more accurate term). It was a bit smaller than the aforementioned places, but really quite good. We also had chips and queso. Have to say I wasn’t a fan—the chips are too thick and crunchy, and the queso is quite bland. Back to the positives, they have a great lineup of adult drinks and craft sodas. I really enjoyed the dewberry soda very much. Overall, we did enjoy the place and would return if the opportunity presented itself. It isn’t on par with out favorite, Torchy’s, but is a good substitute in a pinch!
First impressions are everything. My first time ever Coming to Mad Taco was such a great experience! The menu items are very diverse and creative. The food is amazing. The tamale tortilla is basically a flour taco on steroids. What I enjoyed the most was the welcoming hospitality by the staff. Mason at the front counter was a pro and guided to my taco paradise.. I recommend trying the short rib taco! Mad Taco is my new favorite taco spot fosure
The braised pork and beef tacos at Mad are the best! Several others are good as well. Among the drinks, the Amaretto Sour stands out. Several flavors of Margaritas are also excellent. Also the Mexican fries are tasty.
Really good tacos!! Queso was amazing!!
I had fried chicken and beef fajitas taco. Hubby had fried shrimp and chicken fajita taco. Really tender and great fresh flavors!! Want to go back and try the Cuban!! A little pricey but we will be back!
