Stopped in for a late supper after the Living Windows Display. We we quickly seated and served. I had my all time favorites: Beet Salad and Oyster small plate. As good as I remembered!!! Hubby had Cesaer salad and Calamari small plate and enjoyed his too. Decided to be adventuresome and try a fancy cocktail--tried the Winter Sunset (I think) with pear infused vodka and pomegranate syrup--delish! Definitely a great date night!
Best lunch spot for sandwiches in Columbia. Perfect house-made breads put it over the top. All-around personal fave!
One of our favorite places to go; both the food and the service are always first rate.
The Patchwork Pork sandwich is absolutely the best sandwich in the world! Fried oysters are great as well. Sycamore is a must for lunch when in Columbia!
After finding The Vault hosting a private party and Velvat Cupcake closed, we stopped in Sycamores for a drink. We had excellent service and found the wine, and beer selection very good. Our bartender made great suggestions and paid attention to us without being over bearing.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and pretty good food.
My chicken sandwich was huge and cooked very well. Appetizers were good and the fries were perfect. Wife says the ice cream was too boozy though (that's a her thing though) and we both thought the apples were undercooked. Overall a nice meal.
I would just like to say that our server was phenomenal even with all the mishaps with the kitchen and serving such a large group. She was great and we all left amazing tips for her!
The food here was pretty great! For appetizers we ordered the pork sliders, cheese curds, Parmesan fries, and veggie crab cakes. The pork sliders seriously need to be a dish all on their own because they were so damn good. Like seriously, it was mouth watering and so crisp and flavorful! The fries and the cheese curds were good too, however, we did have issue with several batches of fries coming out cold, but when they were hot, they were so good and with the house made ketchup, it just took them up a notch. The cheese curds have a little spice to them and I loved that. The veggie crab cakes were not that good but that’s okay be the rest of the appetizers we tried made up for them.
As for drinks, I ordered the Rose Garden and the Hannah May! Both of these drinks were absolutely amazing. The way the flavors mixed and the body that they had, it was so good!! If I lived closer, I’d come back for the drink menu alone.
And for entrées, I ordered the scallops with roasted peanuts and noodles. This was my first time having scallops, so I didn’t have many expectations but god these were so GOOD!! Like, I seriously contemplated ordering another plate of just the scallops alone! The roasted peanuts and the spices added the perfect crunch to the top of the scallops.
I would definitely come back here, such a good place to eat and drink for sure!!
We enjoyed the ambiance the most. We had the clam chowder, Chris's Chicken Sandwich and the Pork sandwich. From the bar we had a chocolate coffee stout and their House Cocktail.
This is a great place for groups and social dining with good service and tasty drinks. I recommend making reservations if you have a group.
My favorite thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. A long open style room, restored tile floors, light that streams in from the windows, and bench seating.
The food is fresh and tasty.
There is a good list of menu items and drinks to choose from and we had a pleasant dining experience.
Food and staff were very good. Gnocchi and Chipotle bean soup were fabulous. Great restaurant in a great location. I enjoyed the interior and ambiance. Definitely worth a visit.
The ambience is wonderful for a group dinner and the food was absolutely delicious. This was my second time at sycamore and the food and drinks did not disappoint. We had the fried oysters and beet salad as appetizers which were both very good. My husband ordered the scallops which were cooked perfectly and the flavors were amazing. We also ordered the ribeye, pork chop, and gnocchi. Everything was superb. Would definitely recommend for a great dinner and evening out in Columbia.
Great food! We enjoyed the scallops and the pork sliders a lot. The scallops were a little spicy, which I liked. The sliders were delectable. The mocktail I had was pretty good too. There were two options and both were similar in style.
This is a lovely, intimate space. The atmosphere is on the more dressy side but has a casual feel. The servers are friendly, professional, and unobtrusive which is really nice when your occasion is more formal. The food is AMAZING and the bartender knows what they are doing. Recommend 100%.
