I randomly wandered in because I’m staying at the hotel down the street. I loved everything about this place. It felt like I was walking into someone’s dining room. It was later in the evening, and staff were chatting with customers like they were family. The server could not have been sweeter or more welcoming. And the gyro hit the spot. I’ll definitely make a point of coming back.
We had a wonderful date night! Amazing food great service. We hadn’t realized they closed at 9 and they didn’t rush us to finish our food. Amazing place would recommend to others.
Good portion sizes. Good flavor. Never a bad meal at Jimmy's.
Thanks to the seasoned waffles fries at this place, regular waffle fries will be a disappointment to me. Awesome steak sandwich too!
If you don't know Jimmy's you don't know Columbia. Jimmy, Gus, Tina, and Georgia are what make this place a classic CoMo staple. The word "family" is in the name for a reason: that's how they treat everyone who walks through the door. I've eaten more delicious Gyros and drank more affordable pitchers of beer at this place than I can count, and it's something I look forward to every time I'm in town. It just feels like home.
So go! Go to Jimmy's, introduce yourself and ask Gus if he's working on any special hot sauces. Let 'em know how you like your steak and they'll hook it up just right.

This was one of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Columbia. I loved the steaks and the family was the greatest.
Lots of memories and wonderful food. The service is always spot on.
My buddy summed it up perfectly: "Food so good, you waddle out." Since I moved here, Jimmy's has been my hands-down favorite restaurant in the city. Jimmy, Tina, and their family are fantastic and every time I go in, no matter how long it's been since the last time, it's like I saw them just yesterday. It's less like going out to eat and more like visiting family.
So. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent people. Definitely go.

Jimmy's is a long standing, local, family owned and operated restaurant in South Columbia. They are very attentive with service and have a great variety food on their menu. Gus and Jimmy are the only one's I have ever seen cooking and the food they put out is outstanding! Currently they are open for dine in and taking extra precautions during COVID-19. If you are looking for a friendly, family atmosphere with great food and service, I recommend going to Jimmy's.
Jimmy's is a great place. It's genuinely family owned, regulars are recognized and feel welcome. The Greek Duke selections on the menu are good, but the American options lack punch. All of the standards can be had, plus some locally styled selections named for Campus sororities and frats.
Portion sizes are out of control. You get a lot of food for the price, which keeps the tables full. There's a salad bar, beer selections, and an open kitchen to see the food being prepared.
Go to Jimmy's, make a new friend, and have some nice Greek food.
