The pizza is awesome and so are the burgers.. Ive been eating at Georges for 25 years and the food has improved alot over the last year.I prefer the double cheese burger to any in town. The meat lovers pizza was awesome last week when I had it.Keep it up George! When momma don't wanna cook you come see George!!! I love that guy!
Decent Pizza and An Awesome Dude!. So here's the deal: don't go to George's for excellent food. The pizza my wife and I had was very inconsistent. The cheese, sauce, and toppings were spread haphazardly, resulting in some pieces with almost all bread and some with absolutely none. This is a problem, as the crust is not great. However, when you do get a well balanced piece, it's a good pizza. Not the best in town, but quite good.
But here's why you really go to George's: George! This is one of the friendliest, most entertaining dudes ever, and any shortcomings of his food are easily overcome by his personality.
Bottom line: Expect decent food and a very cool owner, and you'll enjoy your experience at George's!
Excellent Spanakopita and Green Beans. Georges offers an excellent mix of high quality meat dishes and high quality vegetable dishes. My favorites are the flaky, crisp spanakopita which had a well balanced savory spinach flavor. The green beans were braised with bacon, ham, onion, garlic, and potatoes. Worth all the effort. I liked the gyro, and they do something special with the tzatziki sauce.
Pizza is good, everything else? eehh. All I get here is pizza, I've had a few other things and they were not very good. But the Pizza is AMAZING! So, it's still a win in my book.
