Built out as a farm-to-table restaurant for the Short North, The Table is one of the more down-to-earth restaurants in the district, focused on local and conscious cuisine. More of a laid back spot where live music wafts through the bar and the kitschy-feeling dining room feels almost more like a coffee shop than a nice restaurant. The food here is a mix of every kind of cuisine, with the focus not being on culture but on prep style: All about the good local ingredients and conscious sourcing.

I have been to The Table prior.  I was there this past Saturday with my daughter, sister and friend.  We ordered the Charcuterie; it was fabulous, Hmm the goat cheese!  We also ordered the cabbage soup!  Simply delicious!

It's always refreshing to know where exactly your food comes from, and at The Table, they proudly list the local establishments that ingredients are sourced from. This charming restaurant nestled off the beaten path of the short north features eclectic table and chair pairings with plenty of lively plants for decor. The service was friendly, the food was excellently executed and delicious to boot. Will be returning!

I started saying The Table is “rustically elegant,” and I still struggle to find a better phrase to describe it. There’s an elegance to the food and the care with which it’s sourced and prepared. There’s an elegance to the historic building and the decor. But there’s a rustic feeling in how the food is approachable and comfortable, and how the tables and plates and chairs are recycled and mis-matched.

Our favorite local restaurant. We go on special occasions. Very surprised about any negative reviews! People disgruntled about service, but we have had the best service every time. As a vegetarian I appreciate that they always have at least 1 entree (sometimes 2) that works. The squash fondue, chick pea dish and lentil dish are all fantastic. We will be going again soon, I'm sure.

Perfect spot for pre-concert dinner. Enjoyed an early dinner at the Table before the Fleetwood Mac concert. Very accomodating and attentive waiter. Squash ribbon small plate was the star of the small plates. My friend loved the caesar salad but wouldn't share. The entrees were great, two of us had the cod special and the other had the chicken. It looked yummy. Why don't men offer to swap bites like women do? Do not go to the Table without ordering the bread basket. All the varieties were fabulous and the leftovers came home wih me! Will definately go back!

Fresh and Delicious. I’m a very careful Canary (and don’t be fooled when I keel over you are next). So when I say this place uses the best quality ingredients (no soy fillers, no soy oils, etc.) you can count on it. We all loved what we ordered! My gluten free husband was thrilled that he could eat the mushroom soup; and he loved the lamb. Our friends the cocktail enthusiasts found just what they wanted and the wine drinkers likewise. Okay the beet salad had me dancing on my perch.
The waitress, Arbry, was delightful, friendly and knew what she was serving.
We will definitely make it one of our regular haunts.

Great Brunch!. I went here for my birthday brunch and I was not disappointed. I immediately noticed the atmosphere, which was kitchy, chic, but not trying too hard. We were presented with mismatched plates and seated at coordinated but mismatched chairs and table. But most importantly, the food. I ordered the dutch baby and their beef, onion, bacon broth soup, my mother got the Akoori eggs and sausage side. Everything was superb. But the dutch baby was beautiful, just the right amount of sweetness and crisp in all the right places. My waiter asked if I'd like some of their housemade butter as well, I of course took him up on it and I suggest it to anyone else. The place is small and within 15 minutes of our arrival the place was filled up, so you may experience a wait. However, worth it. This is classified as $$$ but for their bunch menu (12-4 Sat/Sun), it's more of a $$. Also, the mimosas were really stellar. Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants.

Great new place!. Four of us had dinner at The Table at the end of December. We called ahead for a table, and it was ready when we arrived. This restaurant is so charming. We sat right by the big front picture window. The ambiance is homey, shabby-chic, cozy and warm. Very inviting. Our sever was really knowledgable and very attentive. The menu is small and inventive. We were told that most everything is made on site including the bread, pastries, and charcuterie. Apparently they will soon begin to also make their own cheese. They source as much as they can locally and the rest sustainably. I had a great salad, nicely sized and flavorful, my husband had soup to start, which was delicious. I had the lamb ragu gnocchi. The lamb was braised and oh-so tender. It melted in my mouth. Normally I'm not fond of the kind of stringy "pot roast" meat texture, but this lamb was so fabulous. The gnocchi were different. They were light, airy and golden. I think they were deep fried. I haven't decided how I feel about this. I like traditional gnocchi, but these were also nice. I expected a large ratio of gnocchi to lamb, but it was the opposite. Tons of lamb in a very flavorful ragu with not too much gnocchi. Delicious. My husband and one of our friends had chicken, which they both really enjoyed, and our other dining companion had a roasted squash entree that was so rich and really interesting. We also enjoyed some tasty cocktails, bread and wine from a small list with a few nice choices. We all agreed that we would go back. Next time I definitely want to try some charcuterie and cheese.

Ambiance is great! They use a hodgepodge of furnishings, dinnerware and decor that makes this little gem so wonderful. Friendly staff, excellent service, nice bar, interesting menu are all well worth it. Went on a date night with my hubby to try something different. It was really good! We enjoyed the wine, food, dessert & coffee. We arrived there when they opened again at at 5pm & there was a lot of room in the restaurant, but the bar was hopping during happy hour we saw (5 - 7pm on Thursday),.but by the time we left around 6:45 the restaurant was full & the bar had lots of room. HAPPY HOUR only good at the BAR, so we RECOMMEND that if you wanted to join happy hour, you'd have to make our reservations for later, go to bar & enjoy, then get our table when reservations came up. Or just eat at the bar The tables were a hodgepodge eclectic mix, very VERY charming. They sat us originally at a longer, two person table next to the wall. I have a hearing problem, and needed to be closer to my husband. We asked for another table and we got another that was still a two person table, but it was turned so we were closer to each other. That ONE table must have an issue with the distance between you and your dinning partner, because 2 more couples asked to be seated elsewhere AFTER us, so it wasn't just me. Only table that had an issue in the place was that particular one, and just how it was positioned. Food was awesome! (except for one thing) We began with a bottle of the King's Ridge Pinot Noir (2014), and a "3 cheese plate". We had 6 cheeses to choose from, we got 2 of the Goat cheeses & 1 blue cheese, all were very good. Came with a blackberry, a dab of blackberry preserves (or some dark berry) and a pickle slice with 4 Melba style toasts. Nice appetizer. I ordered "Forbidden Salad" for my starter. It was surely yummy & different, very light on the honey vinaigrette, nice taste and not heavy. Loved the hazelnuts & little black rice & apples in this one. Was not drowning in dressing, it was very light and almost undetectable. I like it that way so it was just fine. They didn't have the walnuts in it, it was hazelnuts, but that was ok as I adore hazelnuts. Great salad! My main entree was the "Alaskan Char": a very interesting, spaghetti squash & other ingredients with miso & sweet chili sauce with a generous portion of salmon on top). Salmon was presented on top of the veggies/broth in a bowl. Bottom skin on fish was "charred". Top of salmon was slightly under done, and I liked it this way, however I note it because some may not. I wish they would have given me a spoon to go with it, as I would have liked to get all the thin tasty/spicy sauce in the bottom of the bowl. I know I could have asked for one, but I just let it go. Hubby opted NOT to get salad, as he said "one came with his meal" of Scallops ($25), for that he got four nice sized scallops with herb & microgreen salad, leeks, bacon marmalade, saffron aioli. The SALAD was just that.... MICRO! There was a tiny smattering of "salad" (like 2 tablespoonfuls) in the center of FOUR scallops topped with the fantastic bacon marmalade. My husband said jokingly "I think I'll need to stop at McDonalds for a couple of dollar cheeseburgers to get full on the way home." and "Now I wish I would have ordered the salad." He said it was awesome, just NOT ENOUGH food, due to "salad" should have been listed as a "small side of veggies". Due to the description on the menu, I thought it came with a salad as well. I also noted that when a lot of other dinners ordered the same plate as my husband, the "Micro Salad" looked taller and more of it when they carried the plates by us. As this was the first scallop plate of the night, maybe it was a first to plate issue? PORTION was not enough! Ended with a chocolate chip cookie we shared (excellent), cappuccino for me and coffee for hubby. Coffee was bold and strong, just the way we like it. We enjoyed our time there. TO THE TABLE: please make the salad w/the scallops (which we saw was popular) BIGGER!

The service was great! Granted I was one of 5 customers in the restaurant at the time. The waitress was very fun and witty. She maintained good timing on all. The menu is good but could be taken a step further to entice one to eat there. The sides are limited. You can choose between salad, fresh mixed fruit, or Mac & Cheese. Lastly, the ambiance is great inside. Well decorated with a vintage mixture of pieces that draw in your attention. In front of the restaurant though, I have no idea what they are trying to do. There's some junk in the front lawn? Not very welcoming exterior. Overall it's good. Not somewhere I will crave though.

Globally-inspired, locally-sourced restaurant and bar in the Short North Arts District. Quaint and homey, with splashes of eclectic shabby chic decor. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Charcuterie has an excellent selection of meats and local cheeses, accompanied by pickeled veggies. But don't expect the same menu if you visit, it changes with the season and source availability making every visit an adventure. This little gem is a must-try.

We had a great time at The table! Parking was a little hard to find, but they do have a parking lot that is shared with a few other companies that you can park in. We really enjoyed the ambience of the atmosphere. It's a small restaurant, well decorated like a rustic chic (I may have made that up 😄?) I love the little pops of color here and there, especially the chairs. We ordered bread as our appetizer, the small possible baguettes with butter were amazing! It was like I was back in France for a moment. For our meals I ordered the Bolognese and my husband ordered the chicken laksa. Both were good, but I really loved the flavors in the Bolognese! The laksa is spicy so consider yourself informed! The almond cake? Delicious! I almost started to look for similar recipes to make at home! The only thing we both didn't really care for were the drinks. We both ordered cocktails and were slightly underwhelmed. It's likely our taste buds because the drinks were presented well and tasted quite fresh. I just forgot how strong mezcal could be! They do have a drink with Rumchata on the dessert menu that sounds like it would be lovely! Overall we really enjoyed it and will be back soon!

Portion size is smaller than expected, but made up for by their top quality food and service. I stopped in for breakfast and got the egg sandwich, complete with sharp cheddar, greens, creme fraiche, pickled onions and topped with bacon. Flavors were outstanding!!! Delicious little breakfast sandwhich. I definitely want to head back and try their dinner menu. Tip: try stopping in during non-peak times, parking is a nightmare

We had a nice NYE dinner here (definitely needed the reservations) and enjoyed the food and ambiance. This isn't your everyday restaurant in that it's more upscale and pricy than most in the area, but it's nice to celebrate a special occasion. I had the lamb shank, and the meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone. Portion size was also more than I expected. Large cocktail and wine menu. Parking is limited, but the fact they have a lot at all is rare for the area.

I don't spend much time bragging about restaurants, but this one is incredible! I highly recommend experiencing this culinary delight. Ask for Samantha and you will be treated like royalty. I got the impression all of the staff had the same mindset to give their customers the best treatment possible. You won't be disappointed.👌

With great atmosphere, excellent taste, and a more than reasonable pricepoint for what you get; The Table is a must visit location for those new to the Short North. An ideal spot for brunch that is as environmentally and socially concious as it is delicious!!

We have eaten at The Table numerous times for dinner and brunch. It has been so amazing each time we have gone from the service to the homemade food! Such creative dishes and such care taken in the preparation. I also have enjoyed their amazing cocktail selection. High recommend!

I was at this restaurant on Sunday for the brunch menu with my 2 sons. The hamburger and fresh fruit was excellent! I only had water to drink as we felt a bit rushed although they were not super busy. The atmosphere was nice but the music they played was a bit too loud for me. I had to ask my son to repeat himself a few times even though we were sitting close enough that I should not have had any issues. (I do not have a hearing loss.) Parking was a bit difficult to find so plan on getting there early enough to find a spot. Call ahead if you have any special needs to get into the restaurant. The steps outside would have been difficult to do for a friend of mine. But, I did not get to ask if they have accommodations.

Went for the first time tonight for girls night and it was SO great! Love the atmosphere and everything about the place! We did the Charcuterie small plates, scallops, shrimp and grits and chicken tandoori and everything was delicious! I appreciate the global inspiration in their dishes. Our waiter, John, was awesome and even took some pictures for us.

Always an excellent dining experience! Wonderful staff, great drinks, and a rotating menu that doesn't disappoint. The sweetbreads on the menu currently (March 2019) has been hands down the best dish I've had since returning from France.
