This place doesn't look like much, but they serve the most amazing breakfast I've had in a long time. Plus, their sausage gravy is 10x's better than TeeJaye's! I promise you won't be sorry!! We can't wait to go back!
A Real East Side Tradition.. One of many Family Owned Gems you will find in The Columbus Area if you look. I recommend this place for Breakfast.
Good Grub. My wife won't go with me to the Grill and Skillet but in my opinion it is the only real nuts and bolts diner in Columbus. I like it for breakfast, good coffee, great rye toast and awesome bacon along with the eggs and gravy. It is a guys place and I enjoy the option of counter seating or a booth. The locals at the booth are friendly and can be entertaining too.
Groovey old school ... Good food and cheap but place does not seem really clean. It's worth a try as I enjoyed it and did not get sick!!!

Beaucoup points for atmosphere and service. It feels so comfortable, so refreshing and energizing, I am thinking of making this my go-to spot for passing time in public. Sadly they close at 2pm. The service was a treat. I was fortunate a gender fluid, bearded person with long nails (who was cheerful and engaging) was my waiter.
The meatloaf platter, however, was just ... meh. The meatloaf texture and taste lead me to suspect it came from a can. Same for the potatoes. The coffee was good though. When I return I'll get something fresher to eat.
Good old fashioned American style home cooked meals with friendly and fast service. From breakfast to dinner, all their meals are good. Their Sunrise breakfast platter hits the spot! Their coffee is always fresh. The servers always come around for refills on coffee and or water. Convenient parking on the sides of the restaurant as well as the front and rear of the building. Cash only.
I love this restaurant! Josh is the greatest server and skills are always Top Notch! Diana and John are always so welcoming and the Food is delicious!! & Imelda is always super helpful and Kind. We recommend the Grill and Skillet Dinner, located in the Bexley/ Eastmoor area. They are an old-school dinner that has been there since the 1950s. If you enjoy the mid-century modern decor, you will enjoy all the knotty pine paneling and feel of the dinner. The menu is full of a large selection of breakfast and lunch choices. We went for breakfast, and both had omelets, a western, and a mushroom w/o cheese. Western was full of ham, bell peppers, and cheese with enough onions to make things interesting without being obnoxious. I chose home fries and wheat toast, and they were super, a great meal at A low cost. The only reason for only a four is that they have an opportunity regarding the restroom, which was clean but could use an upgrade. If you are on the eastside, give them a try.
Ok listen, its a side of the isle restaurant Mel's diner 70's TV show like. But it was Clean, professional service but also made you feel like you were family and with it comes a great place to eat woth wonderful service. Ofcourse one restroom but it was very clean, and seasoned cooks so everythibg was upto par with delicious inexpensive food.

Grill and skillet had been the most consistent little mom and pop place ive been to. Ive been going there for atleast 15 years and the food is always the same and the service is always quick. The servers always seem as if they are joyed to be at work as well.
Very nice restaurant been wanting to go back there and have a lunch or dinner for a long time it is still a very nice restaurant to eat service was great food was great I will go back again and I will recommend it to anyone who would like
Wasn't happy about the inattentiveness to details is clean dishes. Clearly there was lipstick and stained coffee on the inside of cups even the second go round. However, gave then a four because I love catching people doing Good. The service, cleanliness of the place and fluffy packages that you can way without syrup is definitely worth the money. Ordered eye. Opener, 2eggs, hashbrowns, 3 bacon and toast. Got the grits just because and tea. Good atmosphere, ♿ accessible, family friendly, place is good casual place for groups, or dining alone. All good considering.
My groups food was cooked to order they serve real eggs not egg substitute or Frozen your food is served to you hot and ready no waiting the wait staff is quick and courteous they do not get you in and rush you out you can dine knowing that they will take care of you whether you are a familiar face or a first-time customer shaking the trail dust off to rest your feet and enjoy some comfort food for a spell 🥰
Place has good food for family business but atmosphere and decor needs up grade
Stopped in for brunch today with the wife after eating here with my dad over 20 years ago. Burger was tasty fries were cooked too perfection. The wife got smothered potatoes and she loved them. Bacon and sausage were great. I never got our waiters name but he was on his A game today we never had to ask for anything. Loved the hat guy!
Ol fashioned low key spot with good food, good service and good prices. Straight $ homie! Leave the plastic in your wallet.
Not much I can add to the others; it's a nice traditional diner with traditional diner food. They have really good grits and pancakes. Friendly service, all kinds of people there. My only small complaint is that, like some others have mentioned, the food didn't come as hot as we would have liked.
