The Pit BBQ grille is a must try place. Nice staff and a menu that is sure to please a lot. However, me not being a pork loving person I found the menu did not have too much to offer my specific tastebuds. Although, the chicken wings and chicken Philly were spot on for a true chicken and cheese lover. The sweet tea is to die for and the BBQ sauce is something Sweet Baby Ray's fear. Therefore, I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some good ol BBQ food on the north side of Columbus.
Super friendly staff and the pulled pork was amazing!! The bbq sauce was sweet and delicious, and i swear they put an entire pound of meat on my sandwich. Can't wait to go back. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this place.
The best damn bbq ever.... and then it gets better cause that slaw was out of this world.. do yourself a favor and visit this awesome place in northern lights. North Linden food scene just getting started!!
Great BBQ with molasses flavor. Definitely not run of the mill BBQ. Real greens, real mac and cheese, huge portions. You won't leave hungry.
I used The Pit to cater my daughter's baby shower. They arrived on time, they set up and were finished quickly and efficiently, delivering everything as promised. The food is very good. Several guests asked me about the food and enjoyed it. D'Andre and his manager were very professional and courteous! Cant wait to have them host again for an event. P.s. will drive from far east to Northern lights to pick up dinner, a business worth supporting!!
Good food. Chicken Philly is amazing. You will not be disappointed. Most menu items go around $10 after fries and a drink. Friendly staff.

O my I had a party and as the owner bring in the food I had to taste it because if it didn't taste good I wasn't going to pay he could take it back but man I'm going to tell you this that food was so delicious I will probably have a Nother party. So if you know like me you will go get some.
My first time visiting today with the friendly staff . not a long wait clean environment l can't say enough. But the most important part the food was delicious . And the best pound cake l had in a long time if you get a change try it I'll be back again for sure my new favorite place!!!!!!
I had the rib tips, mac n cheese, and baked beans and I was in heaven. That barbeque sauce was amazing! I can't wait to bring my husband back so he can try it!

This food was slappin! I ordered rib tip combo with Mac & cheese, greens, Polish girl and Chicken wings combo with Mac & cheese and Candied yams. The rib tips were sauced well, tender and seasoned perfectly. The baked Mac & cheese made me miss my granny. Taste just like hers. I loved the tender slightly spicy greens. My very picky boyfriend from SC was pleased. Polish girl gave me so much life! the pulled pork in combination with the slaw and fries on top of the perfectly cooked sausage total food-gasm. We will be back.
The food is DELICIOUS! My husband and I went for the first time a couple of days ago and went back today. I ordered the wings, mac n cheese and baked beans, and oh my! Hubby says the ribs, yams, and collard greens taste like Sunday dinner from his childhood. Go Go Go get yours today!

The portion sizes are good. Had the polish boy it's not a Cleveland polish boy same concept but not as good. Sides were good over all.

First time trying the pit. Service was fast and great. The young lady at the front counter was so warm and helpful. I truly appreciated that. Maria brought us out our food and was so kind. Food came out fast and it was hot. I had the chicken Philly combo with fries. It was delicious!! Very cheesy and gooey and full of meat .fries tasted fresh. The sweet tea was just brewed and amazing!!! Love when people make sweet tea right! Music was real nice too. Would def recommend .
I’m giving them 4 stars just because the pulled pork was so delicious. The food took a little while but it was hot. The bathroom was fairly decent. I didn’t give it 5 stars because of the decor. It’s dark and both front and back doors were open. It was warm inside and full of flies. The floors were sticky and the smell from the kitchen lingered. My only gripe about the pulled pork sandwich is the bun. Too much butter but the meat was great and so were the baked beans. I was going to give 3 stars but the food alone gave you an extra point.
Really good ribs! Tender, smokey and the sauce isn't super strong but it tastes very tomato like and sweet. Wish the coleslaw was a lot colder but great flavor on it and the yams and fries too. Pleasant, helpful staff! Quiet eating area, but not busy (went at 2 pm) a little high on the cost but they had cheaper options!
I've been here a few times now, first time I got the pulled pork sandwhich second time I got the rib tips and lastly I order catering for a work party. I have yet to be disappointed. The staff was very thoughtful and helpful with the catering order, supplying everything need--even serving utensils. Food was great all of my coworkers enjoyed the food! No complaints at all.
I went with my mom and siblings and friends a few weeks ago. It's a really nice looking place (especially for northern lights tbh) with friendly staff. The greens I was really surprised with how good they actually were (because everyone says everything is good). Probably my favorite thing that I ate. The pulled pork sandwich was really good but I couldn't finish it since I had a small stomach. The pulled pork fries were amazing as well! The yams were pretty good also. The only thing I would say is to make sure things are either properly stored or temped because my friend and mother ended up having food poisoning. I didn't however. I wish you guys the best of luck! You'll do well here!
The food was decent. I will be going back. The moment y’all raise y’all prices or change ANYTHING this Review will be deleted/edited to one star and I will not come back. It’s no family affair out east but I will say this their portion sizes are good. We need more places like this up north. Their yams were watery looking but sweet to the taste.
These guys made me love ribs again. City BBQ killed it for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their ribs - the sauce is to die for (I.e. Licking fingers is advised). Their Mac-n-Cheese is on point. The greens taste like their grandmothers were in the back kitchen. Yams were also good. Oh my oh my - Sweet Tea must be directly from Georgia or Mississippi (slamming).
My practice is to go there after church and whenever I want to take someone for lunch and expose them to a new place. You gotta try it out at least once. The food speaks for itself.
