Today was my first time visiting. The sweet older woman working the restaurant was so welcoming! I waited about 10-12 minutes for my order of 4 sambusa, and beef with vegetables over rice. I was okay with that, because I knew it was being made fresh. This is some of the best food I've ever had, period. Will definitely be back.
Really enjoyable experience. The staff was super friendly and the food was awesome! Tried the Beef Suqaar, Chicken Gyro, and Beef Sambosa. All were delicious!
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a very charismatic kind young man. He gave great suggestions and we had a wonderful time, very homey environment! All the food was amazing at good prices. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming back!
Huge portions, more than fair prices, and delicious food! The cook here is wonderful! We had a beef and salmon dish and sambusa and it was extraordinary!
I just came in to eat by myself. I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. I was recommended the chicken suugar. It was perfectly cooked chicken that was packed with flavor and the perfect amount of spice combined with a delicious mix of vegetables served over super fluffy white rice. I also ordered two sambusas which is an absolute must if you eat here, they are perfectly crispy on the outside while soft on the inside and filled with a delicious beef and onion mixture. If you're feeling ever so slightly adventurous but want a guaranteed hit you have to come here. Thats just to food! The incredibly friendly and attentive service that was offered while I was here made me feel like family. Stop by once and you will be back again, I know I will.
Please try Kulmiye double cheeseburger. You won’t regret
Delicious food, I had the salmon and my friend had the goat and they were both great. The peas and rice were amazing also. The owner was the nicest guy. So glad we went.
The service was friendly and they provided good suggestions. The food was very flavorful and fresh. I enjoyed the experience very much and I will be back!
Oh man. I was having such a rough day, have surgery scheduled for a week from today, and overall was having a pretty rough week. Randomly stopped in here and an incredibly kind old lady recommended me what to get, lamb and rice. It was incredible, large portions, amazing food. She also gave me a banana and a water bottle for free. In a day where people aren’t often treated as humans, it was incredibly refreshing to be.

Best somali cuisine hands down, personally I'm not interested in trying any other place😊all of the food is made with love, by blessed hands. I've eaten many of their specialized dishes. All of the food is freshly made. Very welcoming and family oriented, and well respected place to dine. Definitely food for the soul. Very calm and pleasant atmosphere. When I visit columbus again this will always one of my stops.❤
I order chicken wrap it was ten minutes wait. It was worth the wait. Fresh and hot. The guy was very Professional and kind highly recommend this restaurant. And the build was very clean.
Simply amazing. Go see for yourself everything is amazing and fresh. My entire family are regulars lol I drive past countless restaurants just for the signature beef sugaar. Kulmiya has some of the best food I've ever tasted. Mashaallah tabarakallah.
This is a really nice home style restaurant. It's clean, spacious, and the food has great flavor and generous portions. We tried the beef samosa, the chicken suqaar, the goat , and a delicious creamy vegetable broth soup called "maraqa", the chef's mother's recipe. There were also kids options like nuggets and fries. The server was very friendly and nice. The place is easy to reach near 270. Totally recommend.
The best Somali and American cuisine in Columbus! Whenever I come into town I make it a priority to eat here. The goat and rice and sambosa are delicious and full of flavor. The owner and staff are always friendly and provide great customer service. Highly recommended!
Just walked in as Hoyo's Kitchen was closed and the food is excellent, just excellent. The goat was so tender and rice the best. I have been sharing info regarding Somalian cuisine with many Americans. This is the meat, goat (red meat) we should eat in this country, extremely low fat and high in protein. I am glad to see the various ethnic cultures and their food in this country it is so beneficial to the American diet. I suggest "googling" goat meat to learn of its nutritional value.
10/10 best African food place in Columbus
This was our first time at this restaurant (and trying Somali food) and it was great!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, and the portion size is huge for what it costs! We will definitely be back.
Today was my first day here and the food was amazing.! I got the fried chicken with French fries and a beef sambusa. Very well seasoned, I will def be back🙏🏼🙏🏼
Amazing experience. Went in with my wife and son for some sambora while waiting on our laundry. Restaurant was out of Sambosa when we arrive so the guy made us 8 fresh samosas. We sat there and enjoyed friendly experience while eating our tasty sambosas. I have to admit, I give him a tough time whenever I visit and he still finds a reason to make sure I walk out happy..
