Great atmosphere. Very cozy and inviting. Excellent cocktails and bar staff. And the food provided by Pierogi Mountain is phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Having a cool spot like Wunderbar in the original Max and Erma's space is great for German Village. It has a cool low-key vibe, the food from Pierogi Mountain is good, and they were all very friendly and welcoming.

Neat bar and counter order kitchen in German Village. Vibe was woody sophisticated retro chill. Cocktails were tasty. Only issue was there was one bartender during a not busy Friday happy hour which meant service took a minute.

Super neat bar! Laid back with good drinks. Pebble punch is delicious (it even has fruity pebbles on top!).

The Haluski was super spicy (for me, any spicy food is too spicy for me though 😛) - but I loved all the 5 pierogi I tried. Definitely will be back and try more!

I had the best time at Wunderbar. The service was great. I love the atmosphere. I felt like I was in a hometown bar. I think many different types of people would be happy going there. Pierogi Mountains food choices were very accommodating as well. All sorts of people, with different dietary needs, would be 100% satisfied. I’m totally going to make this a new hangout spot.

This bar smells like Christmas and is the perfect balance of novelty without trying too hard.

The new location of Pierogi Mountain! In the south side we know this place as the old German village Max and Ermas, and so this spot is very cozy and somewhat historic. Go there for a good meal and a stiff drink.

Our first time visit and we were very happy with everything. The atmosphere is nice, bartenders were great. Happy hour had a few selections not a ton, could be a few more on the happy hour drink selection. Definitely going to go back again soon

Wow! Great homemade Eastern European fare in the original Max and Erma's location. You go up to the kitchen window ( Pierogi Mountain) to order food and then they bring it to your table. Full bar service ( Wunderbar- the actual name on the building) with excellent one-step options. Pierogies, haluska, and latkes are all delicious. Many vegetarian and vegan options but plenty of sausage as well. Drag bingo Tuesday night and and Drag show on Friday nights add to the fun!
