fast service for a recommended jolly rancher shot. Pretty large menu of food options, including many gourmet Mac and cheeses. Plenty of seating including bar, high tops and even couches. Plenty of tvs with a variety of things airing like sports and music. Plentiful draft list as well. Very busy on Fridays and Saturdays and slower most other nights. Fairly long happy hour. 4-8p m-f.

Super clean and updated place! How we walked in and were the only people at 5pm on a Saturday night is beyond me. The drinks and food were amazing! The bartender was so nice and I am just confused. Highly recommend people move from overcrowded places a few feet away and check this place out!

A great change of pace in the Short North area!! Normally when I decide to go out for a drink on High St I am confronted with an incredibly crowded, small and loud environment that requires minutes of waiting before a bartender is able to provide service to me. However, this weekend when I decided to give Julep a try, I was pleasantly surprised! The manager, Kyle, instantly greeted my party upon entering and was extremely welcoming and hard working throughout our stay. The music was conducive of a fun, conversation-full atmosphere. The bar was very appropriately filled, and the lovely bartender, Peyton, was serving everyone at the bar with a friendly, professional, and timely manner! I will certainly be including Julep in my normal bar rotation from here on out!!

We were attending the Art Walk and we found ourselves in the Julep for a quick drink. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We decided to try some appetizers and I was so happy that we did. We had the loaded fries, trash can nachos, red beet hummus and bacon strips. (see pictures). Everything was amazing. We were fighting over the bacon strips. The beet hummus was so delicious. I can't wait to go back and try some other items.

Regular spot for me and my girlfriend. Security is very chill, they do pat downs but it makes the place feel much safer. Bartenders are super nice, always quick service and making sure we’re taken care of!

Went on MONDAY only. Based on that visit, food and drinks were good. Angus beef hotdog for $1. Drinks were good but took so long to make them. They have huge sides Jenga and 4 in a row games.

Absolutely love coming on slower days, the bartender, Kyle always is on top of things and makes lovely drinks for my friends and I! The attentiveness and customer service were great! We also love the taco tuesday deal! The tacos are actually authentic.

This place is so much fun! It definitely can be a little loud, so if you're looking for a very relaxed atmosphere, you probably won't enjoy. That being said, though, it was pretty low-key. It was not overly crowded, and they have a great inside and outdoor patio. Also dog friendly!!

Went to the Short North Julep for the first time last night because I decided to purchase tickets to their Xmas beer tasting event and good excuse to try a place we had not been yet. My husband and myself had a good time. The tasting event consisted of 5 samples each. They had 7 different Xmas beers to choose from and between the both of us we tried all 7 and enjoyed the difference among the beers and variety. We choose the fried cheese curds and fries green beans as appetizers. Had we known how large portions size were, we would have only ordered 1 app. 2 giant size baskets of fried food is a bit too much fried food for myself but both apps were fine. We shared the bacon chicken ranch pizza and that was very good. Not greasy, thick cheese and crust was not too thin or thick, prefect. We sat at the bar and the service was good and attentive. Atmosphere was fun and festive, decorated for Xmas with Xmas music playing the entire time. We will return!

I’m not really sure why Julep has less than stellar reviews. I’ve been 3 times now and each time the service was great, the food was very tasty, and the beer and drink selection was good. The patio is great for people watching and the atmosphere in general is nice. Everyone I was with enjoyed it too. One of the negative reviews mentioned the bathroom line being really long...that’s not exactly the bar’s fault.

This is a really great bar that doesn't draw a huge crowd on most days. The bartenders are attentive and the drink prices aren't bad. They have a good selection of draft beer and even have a pour your own beer station when it is really busy. There's a nice side patio and a few unique bar games such as big jenga and big connect four. If you want to go out in Short North but want to avoid the crazy crowds, this is a great place to go.

We went there on a Thursday afternoon, it was very quiet. Abby was our bar tender, she was amazing. The drink selection was great, we had a good time.

Friday night, very loud, very fun, and super nice staff. If you're looking for a quiet night its not the place for you. But if you want to cut loose and have some fun with friends its a great place to go.

Excellent selection of drinks. The staff are friendly and the prices are not bad. They have rabbit wings (rabbit legs) and a monster nacho dish with all of the toppings. The portions are generous and the flavors are very good. It's worth the walk to check them out. Oh yeah, they have several tv's to watch whatever games or shows you want.
