Meh. Quality of food was ok--the general tso was delicious and crispy, but the meat quality was about 50/50. Chicken and broccoli was ok. The hot and sour soup was strangely peppery tasting (like black pepper--never has h&s soup like that). The best thing about this place was the delivery. I ordered online and it was delivered piping hot to my door in 25 minutes!! While not the best Chinese here, it's one of the very few I've found that delivers and for that ease/speed I'll keep coming back.

Pretty good food and service. I've been to Happy House a few times and have never found anything to complain about. I've ordered carryout which was great but both times I've eaten there the girl at the counter was super nice. Maybe I've never encountered the owner?

Anyways, the food is always good. I always get Schezuan Chicken wherever I go and even though it isn't on the menu at HH, they always make it for me. I will definitely continue to frequent HH when I'm in the mood for Chinese.

The delivery service is a little on the slower side, so plan ahead---- because the food is worth the wait.

Tip: You can order online through their website or through the Eat24 app (3rd party), which adds the benefit of allowing you to schedule an order in advance... I will do this next time.

They deliver very nice service. I been to happy house few times each month, they even remember what was my favorite food and taste! They are family, and the service always so nice. The price goes up little bit, but, anybody knows everything is more expensive...

I love this place. It makes me happy at least once a weak. Everything on the menu is great, especially the hot & sour soup. The lunch special is a great deal, but so is any large meal because it's sure to leave you with leftovers.

In an oasis of restaurant stops, this one shines through in Grandview. With 10 or more of your favorite Chinese dishes listed on the wall and combo options that come with fried rice and an egg roll for under $10 there’s plenty of reasons why you’ll leave happy. But best of all, forgot to call ahead and have to order take out …. before you can say happy house 10x in a row, the cashier will call you to come get your brown bag full of appetite-satisfying magic.

This is really a 3.5. Perfectly acceptable Chinese food, but nothing special. I had orange chicken and the serving for the chicken was kind of small. Like 6-8 pieces of chicken. The taste was kind of bland too. I don’t expect the world of takeout Chinese, but I’ve had orange chicken at 10-20 different places across town and this is easily in the lowest 3-5. It’s not bad! But it’s just very incredibly average. The staff was really nice though.

Yummy!! My office is really close to Happy House Chinese Restaurant and I decided to give it a try after I tried all Asian restaurant around. It was good! I got General Tso chicken during lunch special, it comes with drink for $7.95 and it worth it even they gave only 2 pieces of broccoli. I told my co-workers to try them and they all love it, very happy that I have a good place to for lunch, plus the service was nice, food came pretty quick. I ordered online and could pickup in 10mins!

There’re parking on the left side of the restaurant which is convenient for customers. The restaurant is clean and decorated with arts on the wall ! The seating looks really new and modern too. Drop by during after lunch hour and before dinner time, so I can’t tell how pack the place will be. Their lunch menu is pretty decent price (less than $7). I tried their Shredded Pork w.Chili Pepper which is really delicious but spicy. If you’re up for a challenge, order Shredded Pork w.Chili Pepper (warning: it’s HOT!). We also get to tried their sweet and sour chicken. I have to mention that when we order it, it was really delicious, crunchy and taste fresh. It is a really beautiful place to visit for lunch or dinner as it has beautiful walk art and the larger window allows you to enjoy your meal which enjoying the view outside. Plus the portion size is big for what you’re paying and deliciously prepared!!

I love this place, we always get delivery from there, but we finally ate in the other day. It is your basic Chinese takeaway, with some basic tables with bench seating on one side. Drinks are in cans and 20oz bottles, and the food is brought out to you, piping hot. It's very much Americanized Chinese, or at least what I eat is, the Kung Pao chicken. If that is your thing, it's a great place to eat. They have combination plates all day which is appreciated for those of us who are budget minded, with egg rolls included, and they also have lunch specials that include a soda instead.

I can really only read the food because this place is a takeout so just three stores for service and atmosphere. For takeout Chinese American it was not bad. Be sure to look for their “authentic Chinese” menu on the web.

Delicious! Fast delivery from doordash. Got veggie lo-mein, general tsos, egg rolls and crab Rangoon. Everything was fresh including the veggies in the lo-mein. No fortune cookies but otherwise delicious!!

I ate a delicious "late lunch" [or "early supper"] earlier today [9-30-2022] at Happy House Chinese Restaurant at 1267 W. Fifth Ave. in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood of Columbus I have eaten at Happy House Chinese Restaurant occasionally over the years; it had been quite a while since I had most recently eaten there. My food choice earlier today had been House Fried Rice [served with chicken, pork, and shrimp]. At the ordering counter, I learned that there are two sizes of House Fried Rice [small and large] that are not mentioned on the website. I decided to order "small" because the price for "small" had matched the price that I had been expecting to pay based on what I had seen on the website. While waiting for my food, I enjoyed walking around the small dining room and looking at the many images that have been painted onto the walls that greatly enhance the interior environment at Happy House Chinese Restaurant. My House Fried Rice had been superbly delicious. I often order fried rice when I am at an Asian restaurant because fried rice is usually simple, quick, and inexpensive; the House Fried Rice that I had eaten at Happy House Chinese Restaurant had been far more delicious than I had been expecting. If you are in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood of Columbus and want to eat some delicious Chinese food in a "no-frills" restaurant that has quick service, I strongly recommend Happy House Chinese Restaurant.

Quality Chinese takeout for a fair price. Quick service. I asked my tattoo artist (who was from Manhattan) where I could find the best Chinese takeout in Columbus and this was one of the spots he mentioned. It was solid. Appropriately portioned and very flavorful.

Great taste I had General taos chicken. Not much broccoli but the chicken was decent amount. Over all a good lunch and with 1 more piece of broccoli it would be awesome.
