I had not been planning to eat at CoreLife Eatery yesterday [4-30-2019] but I am very glad that I had ended up deciding to eat there.
The Japanese restaurant several blocks to the north had been closed [I now know that they are closed on Tuesdays] so I had started to walk south on N. High St. looking for a different place to eat.
I entered the recently-opened CoreLife Eatery without even noticing the name, studied the large and complex menu for several minutes, and then decided to stay.
I ordered and ate Spicy Chicken Rice Bowl, which is described on the menu as "Spicy Thai antibiotic-free chicken, purple rice blend, spinach, pickled red onion, sesame sriracha sprouts, house-made falafel, choice of seasonal roasted vegetables, chicken broth." My Spicy Chicken Rice Bowl had been absolutely delicious.
The "choice of seasonal roasted vegetables" had included both potatoes and sweet potatoes [and possibly beets]; the spinach had been absolutely fresh and each leaf had been perfectly flat; the purple rice and the sprouts had been wonderful. The "chicken broth" had been spicy, similar to a salad dressing, and probably had been flavored with vinegar.
Rather than serving sweetened carbonated beverages, there had been several juice dispensers as well as plain water that had been free and had been served with ice. Yesterday had been one of the very few times in my life when I have filled a glass of water by using a dispenser that is marked with the word "water."
The dishes and silverware at CoreLife Eatery are, respectively, ceramic or metal [which means that they can be washed and re-used; they even have chopsticks for those who prefer that way of eating.
CoreLife is a great little place on High. I have tried a couple of the juices now and they're great! Friendly management and staff, definitely recommend to anyone trying to eat fresh and healthy!
I love that this place is quick and healthy - which is so hard to find. The portion sizes are awesome too, I always leave with leftovers. So thankful for a CoreLife in walking distance!
Pretty good! I've never had Korean food, but it was a good introduction. I got to think about extraterrestrial political structures here on Earth.
Absolutely delicious Tuna Poke Grain Bowl. Perfectly tender and fresh. Of course the location is great being right on OSU’s campus!
I’m plant based vegan and I could make everything on this menu work for me, Try the baked hummus & falafel!! So GOOD roasted seasonal veggie too
Amazing food and healthy too! Love the wifi, close to campus and high St. New favorite place!
Been to the other one in Columbus, first time at the one near campus. Great healthy food in walking distance.
Service was super friendly and helpful. Get the spicy thai bowl, you will not regret it!
It was ok. I went when school was not in session and the food did not taste as fresh as a location that has steadier business.
Free Wi-Fi. Lots of outlets. And great food. Sounds like my new lunch spot!
