Nice little 'hole in the wall' with great food. Cheap prices. Definitely will return. Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
Great staff. The place is kinda dark and a bit dismal inside. Feel like it could use some updates....
A great place for a personal feeling concert with any band you may go there to enjoy. They have delicious pierogies made-to-order and a good drink selection.
Nice small venue, saw some live music, and ate some delicious crunchworks. Drinks were good and strong 👍
Fantastic service and super cool bartenders. Pierogi's were so, so good. This bar is for those looking for a dark, dingy place to drink and have a good time. Fancy cocktail people? You might wanna look elsewhere. This place is for the simple and those who wanna chill. An absolute must during your time in Columbus.
We went here for karaoke on Saturday night. The place looks super sketchy from the outside, but once you get inside it turns into a warm and welcoming enviornment. They have books full of songs that you can choose from, and then you write it on a slip and give it to the Man upfront. Also, there is a cute little bar portion and a window where you get food. All in all, not bad.
A cozy music venue with tons of local artists and great food. The pierogies are LEGENDARY and the drinks are cheap and plentiful. If your buddy's band is playing a show here, swing on in and check it out.
If you're looking to book a show I recommend reaching out 4 months in advance! 2 stars for booking time (I've waited nearly a month for a response before), 4 stars for the venue, 5 stars for the kind bartenders who are always short-staffed and very overworked! 3.6 avg so I rounded to 4, but don't let this obscure how slow booking is...
Fun dive bar with a great bartender. Service might get a little slow if it's busy cause it's just one guy. But Excess Karaoke is there every Saturday which is amazing
An entirely unpretentious bar. No drafts, no triple-hopped-fruit-infused IPAs, just bottles and cans of regular, old beer. It's dark, it's divey, they have music sometimes and great comfort food provided by Pierogi Mountain in the bar. A very diverse crowd. I really enjoyed it.
Great times and great people. Could have done without the giant rat scurrying from the bathroom to the dance floor at the summit but all in all cafe bourbon is a dive bar in columbus with a few arcade games and they also played the magic school bus it was great.
Just a straight up fantastic dive dream. Beers, bands and badazzz awesome people all the time. As Columbus is rapidly loosing it's edge becoming an almost YouTuber rich kid "establishment" overpolished bowl of glitter-vom, places like these keep it no-nonsense and I love it! Bar staff is always awesome, crowds are good, drinks are cheap!
$1 happy hour Blatz cans is the bomb. Solid local dive and great food in a town that could use more friendly and gritty places like this. A nice place to get away from the chain vortex of High street.
The Summit , next to cafe bobo, has a little black metal fence and non assuming entrance . The inside transform into a dive bar complete with missing ceiling tiles, extension cords and power strips hanging from above and box fans for a.c..
Some bars would at least try to pretend they are not a dive bar but The Summit uses this as it's aesthetic.
They own it and own it well. Where at say other bars you might be assured by the smell of urine or cigar smoke The Summitts dive atmosphere is for show. To make you feel at home in Columbus without the uneasy feeling if possibly contracting an infectious disease. It's like a haunted house for drinkers, a little scary but just for fun.
The food from the kitchen looked and smelled delicious and was without the usual grimey spoon or possible cockroach.
The beer selection although limited was still better than warm PBRs and Budweiser. The staff was surprisingly friendly and the bartender was on point the entire time . Never once was I found waiting past the five minute mark that makes you question should you tip them or not .
The sound for the local bands was extremely good, especially for a dive bar or even most of the bars in town that try to pretend they are not a dive bar. The sound guys deserve props , and the acts like Nerd Table, Odd Vocado, and Church Camp really got to rock out on a stage that seems a little small but provided an intimate even if loud performance. Like having a band in your man cave .
Awesome venue, the perfect little punk rock dive!
If you look up 'dive bar' in the dictionary, there's a picture of this place. That said, it's a great hang out, and the music is great, depending upon your taste and who's playing. Pierogie Mountain is the 'restaurant' located inside, and the pierogies are FANTASTIC! Get their Hungarian version of poutine...Mmm...
The best dive bar in Columbus. Good people, cheap drinks, shows of almost any genre most nights of the week, and Pierogi Mountain in the kitchen serving incredible pierogi and other excellent food.
Awesome music with Hybrid Moments. Wish this was every night. Nice bartender, she did a great job. Definitely will return for the next Hybrid Moments!!
🤘
In a city with tons of dive bars, Cafe Bourbon Street is quite possibly the king. This place is dirty, dark, and positively wonderful. You can drink for way cheap all night (PBR tallboys recommended) and hear good local music. Parking is generally fairly easy as street parking is plentiful along Summit and the side-streets. There is also a kitchen that serves food, presently a positively delightful pierogi place called Pierogi Mountain inside that serves great food.
