One of the best Caribbean restaurants in Columbus! From the food to the service to the atmosphere! My wife and I went for our Anniversary and because my wife is vegan, they have lots of vegan options for her! The owners are so nice and it really felt like we were in St. Thomas! This place gets 5 stars and we will be back soon.
Small little Caribbean restaurant that had a great overall menu from the islands and their dishes did not disappoint. I had the Pineapple Bowl, which included seasoned chicken and shrimp, with Pineapple, rice, and other vegetables, all served in a half pineapple. Good flavor and not over powering in seasoning. A coworker who is vegan found this place during our travels for us to try. Only has 10 or so tables but is on OpenTable and we had no problem later in the evening to get a table and enjoy a meal that was served promptly, fresh and with flavor. My coworker loved her vegan options and dish also.
Excellent little out of the way place with the friendliest of service and delicious Caribbean food. The pineapple boat is definitely a recommendation: pork, shrimp, rice and beans all in an exotic seasoning mix with just enough spice to be interesting. They also offer nice selection of shareables and desserts. And you may want to check out their $7 daily specials, especially for a quick to go.
Cute, intimate spot. Great food. Get the crab cake appetizer. The pineapple boat was great also
Met the owner Kathy and cook Don excellent service great food lovely place I am vegetarian and they cater to my diet.
Excellent food! Amazing service! Wonderful owner that serves and buses too!
Fantastic! Came here for dinner before the Kiss concert for our anniversary. Clean establishment. Relaxed atmosphere. Made me think of a like a classy island restaurant, yet with a casual vibe. We were promptly greeted upon entrance. I am gluten free & our server was knowledgable of the gluten free selections. She was very pleasant as well! The bartender was friendly too! My husbands expectations of the gumbo & Jambalaya were exceeded! I thoroughly enjoyed the mango chicken with Red Hook potatoes instead of the black bean rice. Thank you for such tastefully delicious dishes! We will return and tell everyone we know!
Nice little Caribbean place hidden away in an industrial area. Went with a group from work and the service was wonderful. A friend got the Jambalaya and said it was delicious. I had BBQ Shrimp and it was very tasty, although the shrimp were a little overcooked. The Red Hook Potatoes are AMAZING. Will be back for sure!
Always great every time. Everything is always fresh. I had the shrimp burger and it tasted nearly the same as to the one I had in the Caribbean during the spring. The staff is amazing. The owner is super friendly and makes everything fresh to order. Id have to say in my opinion its one of the best carribean food places in town by far.
I chose Red Hook Grill for my birthday luncheon with friends and I am so happy that I did. This was my first visit and the food was awesome! It is a small cozy restaurant that is nicely decorated with white table coverings and just the right amount of lighting for a relaxing meal with friends. . We were waited and promptly by very attentive and friendly staff who were engaged in their work. I had the grilled chicken pita with hummus and it was amazing. Another friend had the shrimp burger and said it tasted so fresh and flavorful. The food tasted unique with the blends of seasoning and spices and like momma just cooked it! The food here has a nice Caribbean flare which is a pleasant difference from many other restaurants. I will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem!
Amazing restaurant! Had plenty of vegan options to choose from as well as an array of meat dishes. It was so nice to go somewhere we could both LOVE our food. Very crisp, clean and tropical atmosphere. Waitress was very personable as well.
This place was a great hole-in-the-wall island get away. The background ocean waves sound and reggae music set you up for delicious entrees. Awesome use of spices and other flavors, big servings, and very affordable. The service was attentive and very friendly. There is a full bar. Definitely save room for dessert - key lime pie and cinnamon plantains with maple dip among other options to finish off your island escape!
1st time there, and was not disappointed. The margarita was perfect. My husband had the crab stuffed tilapia. I had the special: pork tenderloin medallions. Both were very good. Service was great too. Next time I need to try the fried egg sandwich!
So flavorful! We had some yummy strong drinks, plantains, Caribbean bean soup, a tuna entree, and vegan jambalaya. With happy hour pricing on the drinks we spent less than $50. Service was attentive and prompt, even on a holiday. Lots of vegan options!!
This is my all time #1 favorite Restaurant. The food is great. They cater to many tastebuds. Offer vegetarian and vegan dishes. If you need gluten free, they have that too. The Mac n Cheese is amazing. My favorite thing is the grilled pita add chicken. Yummy.
Very good food and nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options as well as meat and fish/seafood. Moderate pricing and hole in the wall location but definitely tasty food with lots of seasonings, and prepped fresh. This is Jamaican/Caribbean style seasoned food, and it is very flavorful. I've dined in the restaurant once and service was super friendly. To go orders were easy to place as well. The desserts are yummy too. Good Jambalaya and more! Check them out!
Absolutely loved this place! It's small and can get pretty loud, when crowded, but the food was delicious! I had the crabbed stuffed tilapia and my friend had the jambalaya, both were excellent. We started off with the potato skins, which were stuffed with bacon, shrimp, cheese and served with an amazing bbq sauce. Our waiter was beyond friendly. Will definitely be back!
