The freshest sushi I've had in years in the coolest atmosphere. Nisen goes above and beyond to serve fresh, quality fish—and you can taste the difference. Every roll is beautiful and well thought out. Prices are fair, and portions are large! They have a wonderful happy hour every day of the week and even live music on the weekends. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the owner Tom is a ray of sunshine. I love the fun customers I meet, and the ambience is modern, vibey, and club-esque in a classy way. My favorite sushi restaurant on LI. Don't miss the beautiful craft cocktails and the big bento dinners as well!

They have been open for over 2 decades! Ordered delivery today for lunch. Fruit was fresh! Sushi was so good! Salmon had plenty of teriyaki sauce. Miso soup and salad with ginger dressing yummy and it was neatly packed. Did not like shumai wish it was fried or option of gyoza instead.

felt a bit rushed because we got here 1 hour before closing. the waitstaff was spread a bit thin, so we didn't get a lot of attention. the food was delicious though! I'd def try again at an earlier time to see if that makes a difference.

Food was delicious and fresh. The server was quick, and knowledgeable about gluten in their offerings and offered my wife alternatives and tweaked her menu requests due to her gluten allergy.

Amazing food, atmosphere, service and to top it all off they had a live saxophonist that was really hitting all the feels! I’ll definitely be back again !!!!

Look at the sushi boat picture doesn't do it justice makes you want to have a party and invite all your friends leave the kids home! Lol Raman was good pork fell off in pieces. Great atmosphere clean rare in New York the bathrooms are spotless. The soy sauce dish had a chip in it but that's being picky. Busy but not crowded. The chefs and fresh fish were clean that's what you want in a sushi place.

A staple in Suffolk County for over 2 decades. Consistent on quality and attention to details. Nisen sushi 🍣 is by far one of the best choices for Japanese cuisine in the Commack area. Definitely worth a drive to have an entertaining evening with high grade sushi. Most surrounding places use frozen tuna products and pass along as fresh; you won't find that at Nisen. Nisen thrives and pays attention to high quality.

Four of us went to dinner with my 4 year old grandson. There is ample parking in the lot. We were greeted at the door and quickly seated. Our waiter came quickly and took our drink orders. I had the ginger mojito which was very good. Everyone else had 4 cocktails no complaints. Someone had the wagyu beef which was excellent. Also ordered the chicken and steak fried rice, dumplings, pork buns, Lobster tempura roll and two more sushi rolls. I also had the lobster bisque which was delicious. Also had dessert. Tempura cheesecake and macaroons. Everything was very good and the service was excellent. Definitely will be going back.

Came here for Happy Hour during the week. The lychee martini was strong. It was mostly vodka, some lychee juice and several lychees on a stick. The sushi was fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was relatively slow. Example: Two sushi hand rolls came in one half hour.

Sushi is decent but nothing special. They are pricey. What really makes this place special is the appetizers. They are always consistently delicious and they are super unique. Honestly, I just come here and order their appetizers and ginger mojito. Super yummy and definitely recommend for people to check out!

Excellent Japanese food! Lovely decor and attentive service,. My chirashi was very fresh, attractively presented, and more than I could finish. First time that ever happened to me. This is now my favorite Japanese place on the Island. Comparable to that in Manhattan.

My family and I had such an incredible dinner here at Nisen! The smoked salmon sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth perfection and the warm edamame garnished with sea salt was the perfect bite in between the delicious chef special sushi rolls. This was truly the best sushi I’ve ever had and the attentive staff made the experience as a whole just perfect!

Good sushi and plenty of variety. A little to noisy for me.
