Since bagels aren’t always the same, giving 4 out of 5. Been going here for about 7 years off and on. Atmosphere and service have been spot on. Everyone is always nice and courteous! Best in the area hands down. Give it a try!
One of the best bagels I’ve had! Onion bagels are usually overpowering and too much, however the one from here has the perfect amount of onion! Fresh coffee and perfectly made. Staff was wonderful. I’ll definitely make a note to come back here when I’m visiting.
I have been going to house of bagels since I moved to Dix Hills in 1990. They have NEVER let me down. Their service is 2nd to NONE. In fact the original owner sold the business to Eddie, since he took over the establishment he has improved on the great reputation. I sponsor classic car shows and Eddie & his staff have always donated surplus bagels to our events. Last season we did a car show for our WAR Vets and all the spectators asked where we got the bagels. We had made up a sign for all to see thanking Eddie & Staff for donating for the event. House of bagels should be everyone's FIRST CHOICE. One must see what Eddie & Staff has put into the food service business. Believe me you will not be disappointed. If there was a 10 Star rating House of Bagels truly deserves it.
Breakfast sandwiches are pretty decent here prices are average. Large variety of food to choose from. Tons of cream cheese speads available to go with your bagels. 😃
Best bagels. Had to get them everytime I came back home to Long Island but now can have them delivered anywhere. Friendliest staff and great food-not just bagels.
Great selection of bagels. Solid pricing...known for their Buy 12 get 6 free deal. ($18) Always hot and fresh. Very busy location on weekends. Plan on waiting in line. However, they do have enough staff filling orders that the line does move. Bagels taste great also, especially the specialty bagels. However all the usual suspects are present, like poppy, plain, sesame, onion, everything, pumpernickel, salt and cinnamon raisin. I must always have some in the house, so the moment I run out I visit this place for a refill. Highly recommended.
The "BEST" ON LONG ISLAND!!! This local staple has weathered the storm of expansion of new bagel shop owners in the area over the years.
You cannot beat the team of great staff this location has. Warm and friendly and they get it right everytime. From the kettle boiled bagels ( bagels done right)to the breakfast sandwiches off the griddle this shop has no rivals. Are you a hungry commuter? They open at 4 a.m. to get your fix.

Very good. The ice tea isn't super sweet which I liked my husband didn't love that. The Bacon Egg and cheese seemed it would be perfect but it was covered in pepper never had that much applied before the bread was black. We will try again since it was raved about as best bagels in town and we will close.

Called my ordered in Friday afternoon for a Saturday 415am pick up. Bagels were fresh, bagged and ready to go for my 4.5 hour journey to UNH. My son and his volleyball teammates enjoyed their breakfast. Apparently the bagels in the New England area are no where nearly as good as bagel from the House of Bagels!
