It's been several years since we have been to the Rodeo Steakhouse as it's hard to justify spending so much on a piece of meat when I can buy it at the store and make it a million times better. I normally smoke my meats and add a flavorful rub which is impossible to beat when it comes to the flavor of most steaks you can get at any restaurant.
That being said, I was very satisfied with my meal. The salad had real bacon bits and the blue cheese married well with the other ingredients. My steak was cooked perfectly, which is 90% of the problem with most steaks gone bad. They say they are seasoned but I still had to add salt and pepper but I'm sure this is just due to my rubs having so much more flavor. I can acknowledge it would be hard to get this perfect for everyone though as some people just like a little salt and pepper and they are good. But to have it a perfect medium makes up for that and it was an easy solution to add a bit more seasoning to be completely satisfied.
The wait staff was excellent and the husband/wife team went out of their way to make us custom drinks for our anniversary. We were well attended to for sure. The only negative might be the floors were very slippery. They do the peanut shells on the floor thing which makes for a mess but they felt extra greasy and treading lightly is a must. That was the least of my worries though as we had a great night and my wife's TNT burger was great as well. She had to add sauce though as they don't put any on but again just order some ranch and bbq sauce and all is well. I didn't have to cook so that was also a plus :)
What's not to love about munching on peanuts and throwing the shells on the floor as a prelude to a great BBQ rib dinner?... The atmosphere is comfortably casual, and the food always pleases.
Was there with the King crew and oh yeah talk about top shelf eats y'all.... If your up in the Oregon riding the dunes or just sight seeing its a definite must for dinner... You will not be disappointed...
Great food, great service, friendly staff. Absolutely loved their rolls with the sweet butter. Their ranch was great too, tasted fresh and home made. Definitely will have to go back!
(Do be warned - it's a place where you toss peanuts on the floor. Threw us off at first but we had such a great time and great food it didn't make a difference to us)

We had a great experience here with our kids. The prices are pretty steep but the food was top notch and the kids menu was pretty awesome. A nice casual dining experience with peanut shells covering the floor. The staff was great. Very friendly. The steaks were cooked perfect and we were never left wanting or waiting. We will definitely be back again.
Steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. Service was prompt but not intrusive. My mom's parmesan cod was great and the sides tasted excellent. The ribs are tender and juicy. The chili had a nice flavor with a tiny bit of heat to it. Overall a nice evening with great food.
Looks like nothing from the outside but inside the food is fantastic! My son had their TNT burger and said it’s the best burger he’s ever eaten and he’s eaten many! “Dill pickle fries” are amazing and pulled pork sandwich is tender and juicy pieces of pork and the homemade blue cheese dressing on a house salad is incredibly good! Waitress was top notch! This meal was the most pleasant surprise on our road trip! Highly recommend!
Omg this place was so fun! They have peanut shells everywhere and it's super family friendly. My 2 year old daughter got into a peanut fight with the other guests there. Hands down the best steak I have ever had from a restaurant. Cooked perfectly, the flavor was like none other, and it just melts in your mouth. We were in town visiting family and my boyfriend was a little unsure of the quality the food would be based on appearance, but he was very delighted once he was served. The bbq sauce was a bit spicy for my kids though so take that into consideration when ordering.
Ribeye was the special for $27 very big steak, cooked to order correctly and good taste. Sides were above average in taste and size. My $12 Crown and Pepsi was not worth it. Service was good once it started but waited some time before it did.
Its a great place. I had a ribeye and was a bit surprised that it has as much grissle as it had considering these are supposed to be hand cut. Rolls were amazing, blue cheese salad dressing way too much mayonnaise. Great service and atmosphere. Steak cooked good with perfect seasoning. I would eat here again but not a ribeye.
We were traveling through Coos Bay and stayed at the hotel next to this place. After reading the reviews we were reluctant to go here. We are so happy we did not listen to the reviews. This place has great food, great drinks and for as busy as they were great service. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The food was amazing and the drinks were strong. Well worth the money and if we come through here again we will definitely go back.
Food was great! Atmosphere was less than. We attended the Rodeo steakhouse and we were pleased. The filet was fresh and succulent. The French dip was ok, but on the small side. They are wheelchair accessible and have restrooms. They have a lounge as well as video poker. A good place to have a steak on the coast
I got a 30oz prime rib steak plus a refillable srawberry lemonade drink and loved everything. Not only do you get free rolls, peanuts, and two sidings all complimentary; but the staff are amazing, ensuring that your always fed and happy.
It's in a odd lication, but let me tell you- those ribs?! Omg, the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The steaks there are amazing as well. Great portions! The staff is excellent, tentive, and very personable. Their is a younger "kid" that works the front with great manners. We will be going their again when we head through Coos Bay :).
This place has the best fryed pickle spears!!! And my steak was cooked to perfection. It is pretty spendy, but my food was so good it was work it. Plus you get to throw your peanuts on the ground.
Just the place I've been waiting for. They did a fabulous job remodeling. My wife and I both had burgers at the bar and loved them. They ground their own steak for the large choice of burgers and they tasted wonderful. Will definitely return to try one of their many steak choices.
Baked potato was actually a baked potato and was done all the way thro. Ribs were delicious and the grilled chicken breast was amazing. The waitress, Leona M was awesome abd extremely friendly. They have peanuts at the table and you throw the shells on the floor. So cool! We are visiting from madras and will be back to visit here!!
