Our server, Jessica, was awesome. She not only worked with us on our food allergies, she didn't make us feel bad or awkward for making special requests to make sure we could enjoy our meal. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and Jessica, going above and beyond, made our experience that much better. I definitely recommend this place.

I've eaten at the Flying Saucer downtown several times but never at this one in Cordova. I moved from here 12 years ago and the Flying Saucer was built 10 years ago. Therefore, I didn't get the opportunity to eat here when I lived close. I visited my podiatrist today, got my toes worked on and thought I deserved a good lunch. Had the chicken, broccoli, and mashed potatoes with jalapeño gravy. Everything was the right temperature and the gravy was not too spicy. I topped it off with some excellent, unsweet tea in a very interesting glass! I guess you understand I highly recommend the food and service at the Cordova Flying Saucer!

If you love beer You will .... If you love beer
You will
Love this place. I think they carry about 160 different Beers on draft and about 40 beers by the bottle. It's a fun place to go if you are interested in
Beer flights and tasting
Different brews. The
Pretzels are
Delicious.
They Are Large, hot, steamy and salty
With a variety of dipping Sauces. I
Loved the Cream cheese dip. The beer cheese soup was Not Something I would order again.I thought it had a chemical taste. Everyone at our table
Really loved the hand made burger. They are very very good big burgers
And the fries are hot crispy and salty. They offer a wide variety of
Cheeses on the menu. The
Servers are very well informed regarding the beer. They are patient
And helpful with the selection process. I am not a fan of the trashy school girl uniform that the servers wear. It's
Demeaning and not attractive.
These are Intelligent Professionals and the food quality and beer are so good you don't need to put the servers in
Cheap looking get ups.

I really like the atmosphere and the staff; there's always a good beer on fire sale and you can't beat that price. I love that they went non-smoking last year, both for my own benefit and for the fact that I can now bring my whole family. However, about the same time they re-did the menu to include jalapeño flavoring in several of my favorite items. Since then there's only one sandwich I can stand to order. Really, who wants jalapeño on a Reuben?

The Flying Saucer actually has really great food for a bar. It's the best bar food that I've found in town, in fact. And the service has always been great too. Even when they're jam packed with people on a Saturday night, the food and drinks still arrive quickly.

My favorite bar in Memphis. First off, I just want to say that anyone who goes to a BAR and sits at a table, doesn't need to go to a bar.

Where to start....Scottish Belhaven Ale. Start with that.
With over two hundred beers you'd be hard pressed not to find something you'd like. By all means though, talk with the bartender. They know the beers and can give you something you like; just trust them. The 'Beer Goddesses' have attitudes to match their lovely faces and will make your stay pleasant (so long as you don't act like a jackhole). Though the bar food seems typical, the taste is far and above that. The Saucer Bratzel and Lux Plates are the perfect accompaniment to any beer you choose. The bar also comes packed with plenty of other bar fair such as liquors, an ironically great wine selection, and signature beer fusions (the chocolate truffle fusion is better than any dessert on the menu). Get your best bud and head on down to a place where everyone is sure to know your name (considering you sit at the bar like a real barfly does).

Take note however that this is a 100% authentic bar in that they allow smoking indoors. If you have a big problem with that, then I suggest you just not go as it will annoy you, and you're annoyance is liable to annoy other patrons. If you really don't mind, I suggest you buy an authentic yet light cigarello to take with you.

A relaxing place. So... many... beers. something for everyone, even if they say they don't like beer! it's smoky, yes - after all, it's a bar. the food is also pretty good. and they don't blast music at top volume like fox & hound, so you can have a conversation if you want.

Over 200 beers on tap. Food is by far the best of any bar food. Try the soft pretzels, chips and queso, and chicken quesadillas.

Food was great, table service was terrible, had to ask for napkins and silverware plus she forgot to bring my drink and wasn't too quick to follow up. Would've requested another waitress, if possible. Place had a fun atmosphere and there was some lively Jazz playing over the dining area. Fries were awesome, as well as The Big Dipper. The local blonde brew (Meddlesome Brass Bellows) was amazing and a perfect compliment for the Boars Head Roast Beef and Au Jus. Even the cheeses were on point.

First time at Flying Saucer, was pleasantly surprised. We started with bacon wrapped jalapeños. These are made with fresh peppers and are very good with a real spicy kick so be prepared. My wife had the san Miguel burger less the guacamole and it was very good. I had the German plate and it was wonderful! The plate comes with 2 "grilled" brats (cooked on a flattop) one is described as a beer brat and the other as a Usinger style, ( Usinger's of Milwaukee for those not aware). The Usinger style was very smooth in texture and may have cream in the recipe, the flavor was delicate but present. The beer brat was more seasoned but not at all strong. Paired with a creamy German potato salad and kraut this was a great dining experience. I recommend the Flying Saucer and we will definitely be back!

Selection of craft, draft & bottles is quite unique. Tasty tots and other appetizers, salads and sandwiches as well as pizzas. But the 150+ draft selection, the Beer Knurder are part of a national chain of emporiums for beer lovers. Plates for achieving 200 unique tastings are coving ceilings & walls - quite a few repeat customers - different color plates. Limit 3 beers a day. Handicapped accessible.

Been coming here for about 10 years. So many beautiful memories walking down that long hall intoxicated to go pee. We all know that path and coming back outside and getting another pint is what the fun is all about. Thank you for all your wonderful beer varieties!
