I've been here many times in the past before the ownership change. I read reviews where a few people were disappointed since the change. I have to say I found it every bit as good as before. Our waitress was attentive and prompt. We split a Fisherman platter and it was fresh and cooked to perfection!! Delicious! We still had to leave with a doggy bag and we are both good eaters. Can't wait till next time.
Great food I had the lunch portion of fried scallops and fried shrimp combo with onion rings and coleslaw, it was more than enough food to make 2 meals out of it!!
There were 22 of us for lunch today. The service was excellent and food portions were a good size. All the food came out at the same time and hot. Tessa our waitress was well organized and attentive. You have a gem there! Thanks and we will be back another time.
I had the scallop and haddock combo with onion rings and it was absolutely delicious...my boyfriend had the lobster stew and it was loaded with lots of big lobster claws and it was delicious! The place was busy and it took a little while to get our food but totally worth the wait!
bay haven is my favorite seafood place, I work in Wells me, five days a week, plenty of places to get seafood, and I go to Cornish for my seafood, the fisherman's platter is awesome, and last me at least three meals, and the potato is on the side, not taking up half the plate, everything is always fresh and hot. love this place, make the trip up there at least once a month, if looking for great seafood, head to Bay haven.
My husband and I met my grandfather at this restaurant after hearing him rave about it for most of the summer. We tend to have different tastes than my grandfather, so we were pleasantly surprised when it was truly excellent. My husband had the shrimp which was tender and sweet, I had the scallops which were equally delectable. I don't normally like stuffing, but the lobster stuffing on each dish was fantastic. Also, despite seeing reviewed to the contrary, service was good. They were a bit busy, but not overly slow and the waitresses were patient with my grandfather, who is a bit gruff. It was so good that we agreed to meet him there a second time. I was a little disappointed in my scallops, which were a little dry this time, but given that my husband & grampy still loved theirs, I'm willing to consider it bad luck.
Serving the best seafood away from the coast.... But the clam chowder is very thin/watery. I went there for a warm bowl of thick/rich chowda last fall and was let down. I don't want you to be either!
Excellent fried seafood. I drive 40 minutes to get there. The fried seafood is excellent, as well as the twice baked potato, coleslaw and nice salad. When I order the seafood platter I have enough leftovers for 2 - 3 more meals. I didn't like the baked stuffed haddock. The stuffing was like soggy croutons. Have a friend who goes for the prime rib & loves it. Bay Haven is not fancy, but comfortable & clean. Very, very reasonably priced considering how much food you get.
I had a great lobster roll for $10. Lots of lobster. Appears to be a favorite for locals and not a lot of tourists.
Large servings and seafood so good that I know several people who drive an hour inland from the coast to get it!
Wonderful classic Lobster Stew like your Mom made (if you are from Maine). Cheese curds are spicy goodness and all the portion sizes are huge! Grab fresh lobster on the way out to continue the delicious seafood experience. Place is so busy that all the food is extremely fresh and you can taste the difference, especially in the seafood.
Great sea food and steak. Very reasonable price and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would give seven stars if I could. Great bar area with seating

My husband had the fisherman's platter which was also cooked perfectly and the amount you get for the price is huge!
The poutine was good too!
This place was a great choice for our anniversary!
I also feel bad because I just realized we didn't give our waitress the proper tip she deserved
