I'm staying at the Omni for work, so I ventured down to the restaurant, and it was an excellent choice! The bartender, Ken, is very attentive and accommodating. And he's pretty entertaining!
The first night, I had the ribeye w/garlic mashed potatoes. I also had a couple of drinks. The steak was prepared exactly how I'd asked for it and it was topped with garlic butter.
The next night, I opted for salmon, and it was equally as good as the steak! It was seasoned well and cooked just right. My only issue would be that the broccoli was overcooked. To compensate, the manager offered me a dessert so i got the chocolate cake, of course! It was a huge slice of chocolate decadence!
Other than the 🥦, everything was perfect!
We visited The Glass Pavilion Restaurant on 7-30-23. We were so impressed by the spread for breakfast and endless choices on the buffet. The pastries were amazing! Johnny De La Rosa was extra helpful to us - an exceptional, gracious host. All the wait staff and helpers were also so kind and accommodating to us all. They were so well mannered and willing to help us with anything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and will definitely be coming back to experience this delicious breakfast/brunch once again!
This was a heavenly experience! I had breakfast overlooking the🌴 palm trees and water 🌊 the music was perfectly paired to the atmosphere, the service was on point 🔥 and the food was delicious, fresh, and still affordable! I went back for dinner and ordered a filet medium rare, and although it came out medium well, it was still the softest juiciest steak I've ever had! The was the best restaurant experience I've ever had. 💘
Came for lunch with my fiancé and his parents for his birthday. Wonderful experience. I called to make reservations (20 minutes before we wanted to eat). The young lady on the phone was super kind and cheerful. They gave us a great table, that was ready before we got there. Santos, our waiter, was very attentive and made great recommendations. The food was delicious and everything was a very big portion. We had the crab cake, bacon wrapped shrimp, salmon salad, salmon blt, burger, pulled pork sandwich, and steak wrap. Mimosas, bloody mary and house margarita were great. Santos brought us a piece of cake without us asking. Definitely recommend!!!
I ate EVERY BITE of this delicious and beautiful crabcake. The restaurant is attractive and clean, the wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and the food is amazing and reasonably priced. I’ll gladly return to this restaurant for another experience, as everything that I saw come out of the kitchen looked tempting. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I will start off by saying my wife and I did not eat lunch/dinner here, but did have breakfast two days in a row while staying at the Omni - so this review is based solely off of our breakfast experience. Day one - I opted for the breakfast buffet which if you’re not sure what to order , this would be your go-to choice. Endless amounts of bacon, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, meat and cheese trays, chobani yogurts, a bread/bagel/pastry section, dry cereals, you get the point. I had a little of everything and was STUFFED. The breakfast buffet included an omelette bar and a fresh made waffle bar - which I also indulged in. The wife had the French toast which is phenomenal if you like a sweeter breakfast. Brioche bread French toast style, berries and cream, syrup ,sweet and delectable and buttery. One the best French toast dishes I’ve ever had.
Day 2 - this time i opted for the chilaquiles which is essentially fresh made tortilla chips, scrambled eggs, queso fresco cheese, ranchero sauce and sliced avocado in a cast iron skillet - amazing ! Waitress warned me it was spicy , I didn’t care - she wasn’t lying. I cleared the whole plate and it was delicious , but I was definitely sweating when I was through . On day 2 , my wife loved the French toast so much she ordered it again ! It really is that good . Service was attentive and friendly , and they have great coffee roast if you love coffee. All in all very impressed with the breakfast here. The view is also amazing during the morning as the daylight shines through the glass windows and ceiling and the bay is in view.
Always forget about this place, but it’s perfect for lunchtime. I get bored with the same places to go out to eat while working downtown. It’s open to public, not just hotel guests. I went a couple of times recently. My favorites are the chicken sandwich, mushroom sandwich and the club. All delicious and filling! Reasonably priced as any where else downtown during lunch.
This place is pricy but nice for a splurge on a dinner with a view of the ocean. You can call to make reservations for dinner and can request a table with a view of the ocean. They bring a complimentary hot loaf of bread with house made honey butter. We had the beer steamed mussels and the crab Mac and cheese. The crab Mac and cheese was packed with crab and delicious larger chunks of bacon. Overall it was a very large serving that more than satisfied our hunger. We even had to take some in a to go box. The mussels came with Texas toast and were in a delicious tomato-based broth. We got a bottle of wine that was $28 on the cheaper end of what they offer (maybe the cheapest). Our waitress was very nice and attentive our entire stay. This restaurant on the second floor of the Omni Hotel. Valet parking is complementary when dining here which was nice and convenient. Beware taking the highway here, there is a lot of construction right now and Google Maps was not up to date. If you can, avoid the highways when traveling here.
The food was the BEST here in Corpus Christi! Our waiters Victoria and Michael were polite and had an acknowledgment of the menu to give awesome recommendations. 10/10 recommend if staying at Omni. Also I recommend if you have kids doing the brunch to save money. Reasonably priced for the area.
We had a great experience here. The food and drinks, service and view were excellent. The presentation of the food was unusually nice.
This place has a very relaxing and intimate atmosphere. With a private room and balcony area with a lovely view of the water. The dish I ordered wad the salmon with mashed potatoes and a veggie medley. I also had for dessert the chocolate eruption which was AMAZING. I think the best thing about this place was our waiter Mike/Michael. He was so nice and helpful. He was eager to serve and even joined in our games and fun. He smiled the whole time and was really just a great server. Hoping to return to try out the cozy little bar they had there. Highly recommend for experience alone.
The food was amazing and our server was great. However, I’m more impressed with management. Maddie made my family and I feel so welcome. She also gave great recommendations on what to after we ate. 10/10 would eat here again. Love it here and we love Maddie!
Great breakfast buffet, outstanding service, very kind people serving, I had to remove 1 star because the OJ was not freshly squeezed.
While staying here my family member and I went and dined here. We were seated pretty quickly, and got a table overlooking the beautiful marina. Our waiter was Christine I think, and she provided exceptional service from the start and throughout the meal was very attentive. The food here was reasonably priced for the area too, which was a big surprise to me. Once the food arrived it looked great, and tasted even better, Christine wanted me to cut my steak to ensure it was cooked right too, and it was perfect. My family member loved their crab cakes too, even saying it was the best meal they had on their trip, and I agree my meal was too, I found it better than the steak I got at the other steak house on the top floor. In the end when the bill came I was pleasantly surprised with the price being under $70. If you are a guest at this hotel I recommend having a meal here, especially if you can't get in the republic of Texas, you will not be disappointed.
