Twas a first time visiting this underrated gem 💎 ramen noodle shop! I was with a group of Japanese who wanna try vegan experiences and they enjoyed the ramen very much! They also tried meat based but still they enjoyed it a lot. A few even said it’s better than meat one! I think that’s a good compliment for it! I personally loved it and I drunk even the last drop of the soup! Come for those who are vegan/vegetarian and enjoy plant based! Cheers 🥂

Open pretty late at night and definitely a joint to hit of you are hungry late. They serve night specials for fried rice at a very reasonable price. Ramen portions are not large, but more in the Medium size realm. You can choose your toppings and add-ons when you order. There are different choices from vegetarian to pork. Great to eat with friends and groups.

Honestly, I've hesitated to review this place for years because it's my favorite ramen joint and I never wanted it to get more crowded. But with them finally being open again on the regular, after I thought they were gone forever? I want this hidden gem to succeed and thrive! The food here is outstanding. There's no other way to put it. No matter what you order, it's fresh, flavorful, and just plain perfect. Yes, I'm a white dude from the east coast, so YMMV; but if you like perfectly-caramelized chashu or heavenly, tender chicken, rich broths with delicate, complex flavoring, and exquisitely-cooked noodles, you'll be happy here. Perhaps most notably, RZ also offers exceptional vegan ramen - not a sad-by-comparison afterthought, but multiple (!) carefully-concocted brews that will knock the socks off anyone, vegan or not. Feed your veg friends here for a rare surprise. Other spots just can't compare. I haven't eaten inside the restaurant since before covid, because that's not within my personal risk tolerance. (It was actually the last restaurant where I ate indoors - I had to get that one last bowl in!) But I know that they currently have plexi barriers between tables, and they tend to keep the door open for air circ. Staff mask adherence is probably as good as it is at any other OC food establishment. Staff demeanor is, as always, gracious, attentive, and friendly. They don't pick up the phone, and they don't have an ordering website, so just go there and order. I heard today that they're only open for lunch at the moment - hopefully they'll re-open dinner service soon. Portions are sizable, an order of ramen often makes two meals for me. Even so, get some fried rice for the fridge, if they have it, and thank me later. 👨🏻‍🍳🤌🏻🌟

The old owner retired a couple months ago so the shop is under new management, and with it comes a new menu. While I miss my go-to order of tantan ramen and chashu quesadilla, the new menu focuses mostly on the ramen. The miso ramen has a new smokey taste to it which I enjoy, and the noodles are just as good as before (maybe even better). The chashu slices might be a bit fatty for some but that's how I like it. Overall still a good price and great taste! Crossing my fingers they bring back the tantan ramen again!

Wow this is one of the best ramen soup that I ever have. Nice full rich taste with a lot of ingredients and the service is amazing. Definitely I'll come back and next time with my wife for sure.

I've been looking for these flavors since I visited Tokyo on my honeymoon. Delicious pork cutlet with curry. Place was great. Parking is easy. Atmosphere is perfect for a business lunch.

It's a great hidden gem. Ramen here is always amazing. Extremely nice and hospitable service. A bit on the slower side but none the less still always awesome.

A very unique ramen establishment considering all of the other ramen restaurants in the local area. They offer several types of broth, none that follow the typical flavor profile you'd expect from common ramen. For example, chicken broth is an option, which is actually fairly rare to encounter. Also, they use an incredible amount of dashi (fish flavor), which could actually turn people away from it (I like it a lot). Their pork bowl is more saucy and has less meat with more vegetables. Even the interior, from my observation, is intentionally antiquated to maintain the historic vibe. Definitely going to return here and try the many different options available, including Curry rice.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this is hands down my new favorite ramen spot. The serving sizes are perfect and the noodles and meats are all cooked to perfection. Spicy miso is absolutely perfect and their edamame is delicious and unique. Some friends and I went there last night after having a few beers and were in shock at how good the food was. We came near closing time and the staff was very welcoming with even the owner himself being there to talk with us and take care of us. Very nice guy, talkative and humble. The location is on the small side so you can’t fit too many people in there, but the food is worth the wait if there’s a line most certainly. Beats the socks off of all the other ramen spots that are nearby, hands down! If you want ramen, go here. You won’t be disappointed.

Avoid the lines elsewhere and checkout this chill place. Cool vibe. Lots of good appetizers. I didn't like the miso tan tan, but the veggie broth was good

Simple menu. Great ramen. Three tables and a side table so seating can be a hit or miss. Attracts a variety of people on this low key hotspot.

Great ramen. Prices are lower than most shops but they serve amazing chicken topping. A little too small. Can only serve about 25 people at once. Here on a Monday around opening time and there was a line. Didn't wait too long but didn't expect it to be packed. Still great deals and good food. Make sure to try the ginger lemonade.

I used to frequent this plaza where The Huddle and Ikko stood, but I finally made my way into Zetton. I found myself in Costa Mesa one weekend and was craving ramen. I wanted to take my bf to Kitakata, but the wait was too long for a quick lunch. Instead, parking was a breeze and there was no wait when we entered Zetton. The space is super small and I was reminded of the ramen shops in Japan. However, there was no bar seating. It was just 5-6 tables with capacity at 20-25 patrons. Fortunately, ramen selection covers a lot from chicken, pork to vegan or vegetarian broths. They also have got sides and rice bowls if you need options. For ramen, I was a bit overwhelmed with the options, so I went with the Old School Shoyu ramen. Made with a chicken broth, it came with green onions, sesame, bamboo shoots, wakame seaweed and your choice of chashu or chicken for protein. I went to chashu and it was extremely tender. I loved it! Boyfriend got the Pork Shoyu seasoned with fish powder and vegetable sauce. It's all explained in their menu how their ingredients and broths come to be. He also got the chashu rice bowl, which had chopped chunks of chashu. Really good stuff, but portions can be a bit small. I was really hungry though, but managed to slurp my way through a bowl in about 5 minutes. I essentially inhaled the food. Overall, I would recommend this to friends. A friend noted their vegetable broth is worth it, so I'm excited to try them out again. Until next time!

Super tiny (like, six tables), but amazing Ramen. If there's a wait, it's worth it. My favorite is the Pork Shoyu Special Ramen. The rice dishes are good, the dumplings are good, I haven't had a bad meal yet.
