My husband and I tried Libby's Southern Comfort tonight for the first time, and it was amazing! The owner and staff are super friendly. They came around and we actually had full conversations about lots of topics. Something you don't get at chain restaurants. It was delightful!
For our appetizers, we ordered the JuJu's deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. The deviled eggs were creamy and delicious. They had crispy pieces of pork belly lardon and chives on top, served on a bed of field greens. The fried green tomatoes were coated with a light cornmeal breading but, nice and soft on the inside. They were topped with a unique mix of Libby's pimento cheese, bourbon onion jam, pork belly lardon, and an herb oil. It all worked so well together. They were fantastic.
I ordered the pan roasted Arctic Char. It was flaky and moist, and sat atop toasted barley with baby arugula and country ham. It was all topped with green tomato relish and bourbon pomegranate reduction, which was rich and silky. I loved it.
My husband ordered the pork chop, which was pan roasted, and lightly smoked. It was thick and juicy. It sat on a bed of brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and sage sausage hash, with a rich, sweet apple cider gastrique. It was phenomenal.
We brought home an order of the fried chicken and macaroni and cheese for our little girl. Best fried chicken! The breading was crispy and seasoned wonderfully. And, the meat was so moist and flavorful. The mac and cheese was creamy, with bread crumbs sprinkled throughout. She devoured it all!
Overall, this is definitely a place to try!
Cincinnati Burger Week, gives me opportunity to try out other restaurants. And the food looks great. Burger delicious with that shredded short ribs, yum! And my did blackeyed pea salad was great. Definitely want to come back and try other menu items.

Absolutely delicious! Went for burger week and it was very busy but the staff was super great and efficient. The goetta hush puppies and fried green tomatoes were delicious! The best thing might have been the lemon pie. Stunning! Can't wait to go back!
My husband and I went here for an early dinner date yesterday. We were not disappointed!! We left overstuffed, but couldn't stop talking about how fantastic our meals were! Huge props to the head chef! I got the Buttermilk fried chicken and biscuit. He got the Brisket Melt. They were both just perfect! My flavors, texture, cook on the chicken, gravy, biscuit, everything was just spot on for amazing flavors!! And the bacon, wow, just wow!! Some of the best bacon I've ever had, again.... apparently that's the chef's doing, again, huge props for that mouth melting bacon!! Amazing! The deviled eggs, were good, but didn't wow us. The whites of the eggs were a bit too tough. The greens on the plate could use a drizzle of dressing or vinegrette to make it more enjoyable. The slaw was great, lite and delicious. I just was too stuffed from my sandwich to finish it. My husband's Mac side was good, but lacked seasoning. The entrees though were fabulous enough to not care as much about the rest. We'll definitely be back again!
Great selection of Unicorn bourbons whiskeys, and Great southern food. This place is really awesome, the service is top notch along with the atmosphere.
This is an absolute Gem in Covington. Awesome location with a really good menu. I had the pork chop and my wife had the artic Char. It was one of the best dinners I've had all year long. I never take pictures of food but the presentation of this was perfect.
OMG, delicious! We shared the goetta fritters and I had the Charlie Brown and he had Chef's Chicken Thighs. We will be back! Mark was great too!!
Food was SO good and the staff SO friendly!
