We visit the Town House for breakfast every Saturday (and any weekday we manage to have a day off). The owners are fantastic and genuinely care about us. If they see us coming they have coffee and water ready and everyone knows our “usual breakfast”.
The patrons are just as great. Today we celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary with breakfast here. Everyone at the restaurant (staff and patrons) offered us congratulations. If you want a down-home family feel, this is where to go.
AND I have never had a bad meal here - breakfast, lunch or dinner. Keep it up, Town House family
Loved this place. Traveled from Cookeville, Tn just to visit Covington. It was worth every mile and we picked the perfect place to eat. Chris was awesome and so were the burgers. Will be back again. :)

Excellent food and old school small town exceptional service. Everyone is treated like family and the owners get to know you by name. Everything I have ever ordered from the menu has been exceptionally delicious.
I had lunch today with my classmates and we always have a great time. Chris our server is great and keeps us laughing. The food is always delicious and homemade. My favorite is the sweet potato pie. Covington is so lucky to have the Hamns serving breakfast and lunch.
Best hamburgers, best pie, best steak and gravy, best everything.
A Happy Place. If you go to the Town House Cafe which is just off the square in Covington, YOU HAVE TO TRY THE CORNBREAD. The food is consistently very good and you are always greeted with a smile from the staff. A great lunch spot.

Good place for lunch and breakfast. A good place for fried chicken and for breakfast. Mr. Hamm and his staff will take good care of you.
The Town House Cafe takes me down memory lane. This is just like eating at my Grandparents home growing up! Old fashioned southern food at its finest! I had the country fried steak, mac and cheese, fried green tomatoes and cornbread. I also had a chance to try the best lima beans I have ever had(sorry Granny they were the bomb)🙂
Best tasting burger I've ever had. The staff was super nice. Will definitely return next time we visit Covington!

Small diner but there food really packs a punch! I got my food Togo after my VA appointment in Covington. I live in McDonough but I will definitely stop by anytime I'm in town and feeling southern food! I'm from Alabama and this pork chop sandwich 🥪 fried okra, rice & gravy, with an Arnold Palmer 🍹 tea/lemonade & a slice of sweet potato pie 🥧 with a scoop of ice cream 🍨 really hot the spot for my 40min drove back to my side! Thanks so much! Very chill & close-knit seeming environment for the short time I stepped in there!
Love this little gem! It’s rare to find a restaurant that still feels like a true home-cooked meal, but that’s exactly what you get at Townhouse Café! Best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had, AND they have fried egg sandwiches? Win! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Got a BLT and a regular breakfast and it was great. Best bacon from any restaurant I've ever been to. I never got a spoon to stir my coffee or eat my grits and when I asked for one I didn't get one. I don't like to bother anyone so I used my fork.
This is a little hidden GEM right on the Covington Square. If you are in the area please do yourself a favor and stop in to eat with them. Great food, family atmosphere and wonderful people. You want be disappointed with this menu if you love southern food. Try the chicken sandwich, the Townhouse burger or the country fried steak and gravy with vegetables. Either way you will be glad to stopped in to experience this little family owned place in historic downtown Covington, Georgia.
Great family ran business that has great southern style cooking!! Country fried steak w/rice and gravy is a must try!
