Happen to pass by and decided to turn around and stop in. Glad we did. I loved the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. It gives me Massachusetts and New Hampshire vibes! Nice and relaxing. I ordered the Salmon and crab topping, Asparagus and roasted potatoes. Glass of Pinot Grigio and a slice of Key Lime Pie. All were delicious! My friend ordered the Crab Mac and Cheese. It was delicious! Would order everything again!
Fantastic food. Fish, soft shell crab, and mussels were great. Reasonable prices for really good food.
Small restaurant. Maybe 15 tables. Can call at 4:30 the day of to save a table
This place is a gem I JUST found...and they have bern here 18 years!! Food aaahmazing and staff is very nice! CLEAN like they just opened the place! Would come back
Food is very good, but the portions are way too small, especially when considering the high prices. Honestly, for the price, the portion was half the size i would have expected.
Edit - a year since our last visit and this place is charming as ever. Very accommodating and helpful staff, wonderful wine, high quality raw bar. What more can one want?
This place was charming beyond measure. The space, which apparently used to be a diner, is extremely cozy without feeling claustrophobic. Service was excellent the night I went, although it did seem like they were overstaffed, so I'm not sure if that's the norm. I will be happily returning and will update this review.
I had oysters, and my wife and I both had different fish mains. Everything was great, and the wine pairings recommended by our servers were on point every time. We are looking forward to our next visit.
I had been to this restaurant many times prior to 2016 when I moved away. Always have had a delicious meal with great friendly service. We’re visiting in the area so I brought my husband tonight as he loves oysters. Even though it was late and they had run out of many items on the menu we had deliciously prepared oysters, Moroccan spiced shrimp and beautifully seasoned branzino. Fortunately they still had key lime pie which had just the right tartness!
Everything was very fresh which means they know how to manage their food supplies and nothing sits around. The restaurant itself has been remodeled beautifully and they are now able to serve wine and beer-another improvement since my last visit. Ocean House is a gem!
A really lovely spot, even if there aren’t any ocean views! Some of the friendliest service we’ve ever experienced. They took the time to get to know every dog and child in the restaurant and found the perfect balance of attentive without being at all overbearing. They also seemed to know almost everyone there, which just added to the overall vibe of the small restaurant.
The PEI oysters were good, but not outstanding, and possibly the most marked up item on the menu. The mussels were great. My husband loved his Mac and cheese. And the steelhead trout was really tasty, albeit a little salty. If we could walk, we’d probably be there once a week! As it is, I’m confident we’ll be back. Prices are also among some of the best we’ve seen for Westchester restaurants.
This evening I had a fabulous birthday dinner of delicate Thai glazed salmon, tender green beans, scrumptious wild rice. My dinner companion had crusted cod over spinach, and roasted potatoes. There wasn't a bite or crumb left on either plate.Everything perfectly cooked and service was impeccable. Loved the experience.

Its been a while since I've been here. It was a wonderful past experience and today's experience was just as grand. From making the reservation, to the service, to the food, everything was just exceptional.
Nice seafood, I had the tuna, great. Oysters are good also. Add the Arugula salad, nice and light, but flavorful. Staff is excellent, which makes the whole experience. Compliments to the owners/Chef. It was a grand evening for my girlfriend and I. Thanks
Had the loveliest birthday dinner ever! Haven’t been in a while and oh wow the inside layout and new outside seating are beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. And the food, oh the food 🤤, is better than ever!!! Oysters, clam chowder, wedge salad, soft shell crab and key lime pie all must haves;)). Will be back soon no doubt
We chose to have dinner here before going to the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze and this restaurant did not disappoint! We were sat quickly without reservations and had top notch service. Beverages, apps, entrees and dessert were phenomenal! I’d highly recommend this place. Oysters are a must have!
I went here for the first time with my boyfriend for ours anniversary dinner the other night. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walk out, the service was amazing. We never had to worry about our drinks being empty or waiting too long for food. The oysters were one of the freshest oysters we have had in a very long time. I ordered the mushroom and shrimp risotto and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered some sort of crusted fish and he said it was great, only tiny issue was that the edges were a little tough compared to the wonderfully delicate middle. He still loved it. Then we finished off with the maple creme brûlée. Overall experience was 10/10. It's a cute little place and the food was way better than I would have imagined. Go here for your next date night or when you want to treat yourself to a nice meal!
This restaurant is outstanding and more then 5 stars! From the atmosphere to the service to the food, simply remarkable. Each appetizer and entree presented to the table was a masterpiece. The flavor combinations, the freshness of the seafood, I truly felt that I was at some hidden Gem of a restaurant tucked away on an island. If you have the opportunity to go to Ocean House Oyster Bar & Grill take it but be warned...you will be instantly hooked and it will become your forever go to!
A quaint upper NY state restaurant that was a walk from where I moored the boat on the Hudson overnight. Amazing food, friendly service.
