I’ve not really had any experience with crab in the shell still. It was very very tasty. Our server was excellent and helpful. My wife really enjoyed her food as well. The manager spent time to chat with us as well. Nice view of the canal from the restaurant.
Pretty much as you'd expect for a coastal place. Not fancy-definitely a local stable with not a lot of choices, and they know it. Service was not great-but not horrible. Food was pretty good. I had the NY strip - ordered medium - but came out well done. It was good but over cooked. It's a seafood place so I understand a little. Most options were battered & deep fried. The shrimp platter was very good, as was appetizer platter. It's worth going.
Awesome experience, excellent service. Made super memorable evening with my daughter 💕 Reasonably priced menu for everyone. Stairs to top but there is a one person elevator for assistance.
Food here is amazing! The prices man can't get any better. They have a large variety of margaritas. Nice cold beer on draft. Seafood and steaks are to die for. Highly recommend. It's always so busy so the waitress take a while to come back around to you. View is amazing is the large tug boats passing by.
We had Allison as a waitress, she was awesome! We had the shrimp stingers, ribeye and oysters. She made it right for us when we had an issue. Shout out for Allison! Good customer service!
This place is fantastic! Awesome local flavor and atmosphere. The service is impeccable!
HOWEVER- from my point of view the portions of food weren't consistent in comparison to the price. I ordered the Shrimp Lover's Platter ($28) but there was a limited amount of shrimp (19 shrimp, gumbo & fries). My daughter ordered the Bolivar Boiler ($22) and received an overflowing plate of food. In the pictures you can see the difference in food portions.
I want to stress the staff, flavor and atmosphere are extraordinary!
I was disappointed in the "Shrimp Platter" portions. When I saw Shrimp Platter on the menu, I expected an overflowing plate of gulf shrimp, especially considering the location. But that's not what I got.
I will visit again but next time I'll choose a different menu item.

Grabbed some lunch to go and let me tell u it was awesome. The crab stuffed shrimp were probably my fav. Great job on some great food. Will definitely be a return customer for sure.
First time to Crystal Beach and this was the most recommended spot near us. The food was great, the service was a little spotty but understood because they were busy. We got fried calamari for an appetizer and the fried platter and it was great!
The outside bar/wait area was amazing. Enjoyed watching the sunset and having drinks until our table was ready. Now, when we sat to eat, the service was bad. Drinks were small and cost more, u could get a platter with crab yet not order a single crab????? Didn't make sense. The island is small so not many spots to go yet worth it if you're not wanting to cook at ur spot and want to watch the boats and sun set. Cool little game spot area.
Great stuff! Bbq crabs were a first, really cool flavor and unique experience. Nice place to take the family and be around people fishing, barges coming through, etc while eating. Seemed to be a little understaffed for as busy as they were, but could have just been father's day. Definitely on the "go back next time" list!
