Popular spot
This restaurant was incredibly busy – even on a Monday night. We had to wait a little while for a table – but that wasn’t so bad because we kept busy by shelling and munching on the peanuts in a large barrel near the door. My husband and I ordered a burger and a grilled salmon salad for dinner. Even though it was busy, our food came out very quickly and the portions were enormous. This is a great value dinner option – no wonder it’s so popular!!
I was apprehensive coming here to begin with as past experiences at Cody's Roadhouse in other towns have been not so favorable. Actually it has been over a year since visiting either a Cody's or Texas RH. Went to dinner early, this place was packed. wasn't aware of the early bird specials, so I went with it. Got the 1/2 rack ribs, baked potato and huge salad. It was pretty much spot on. I couldn't finish the 2/3 rack (more than I needed). Service was tolerable considering how full the house was. It was disabled veterans appreciation event so made it even more special. I have regained a new appreciation of Cody's and may try others again as a result of this one, but am hesitant of some that I will never revisit.

The food was delicious but the waitstaff were what earned my 5th star. Debi was so attentive and wonderful. She kept checking in on us. Happy hour drinks were a great value (and strong!), my steak was perfect, and I only wish I had TWO of those sweet potatoes.
Prime rib. Delicious! Cooked to perfection, 3 servings, all to order! One had loaded baked potato, one black beans and rice, the other dairy allergy..stripped baked! Happy hour drinks..top shelf margaritas, frozen and on the rocks!
I always enjoy Cody's. It is a loud and boisterous place but the food is great (ribs are my favorite) and you can throw your peanut shells on the floor. Don't forget the burgers or chicken - they're good, too.
Randall. For a chain, this place rocks. Peanuts on the table, LONG happy hour with great drinks. Excellent Steaks and ribs.
Great service. Great food. Great prices. All around good place to eat.
Good Restaurant with Reservations. Overall a pretty good restaurant but with some reservat ions. It's a fun place to go but not for someone looking for a quite dining experience. Place is always crowded and they pack in probably 50% more customers than the place was designed for.
Food is generally fairly good but a little bland and overcooked, I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with hot sauce. Not even the least bit spicy and overcooked. I ordered the chicken after my first choice was one of the specials, Beef Battered Grouper Sandwich. Out of one of the specials ... at it was only 5:00 pm. Poor planning at best. Everyone else can out a little better with the exception of a medium rare steak was closer to medium well to well done.
Wait staff is friendly but overworked and prone to making mistakes on orders. That said, they are very quick to rectify any problems without questions and they do try very hard to provide the best service they can.
Portions are hugh and the value is very good. The atmosphere is like what Longhorn or Texas Steak House used to do where they served peanuts on the table and you were expected to throw the shells on the floor.
Overall, it's a pretty good place to go if you are careful in what you order. Don't order items like Chicken which can be easily overcooked, particulary if fried. Be prepared for a noisy crowded place but it's a place where everone is having fun.
By the way, the onion rings as an appetizer are fantastic. They've got that one nailed.
Best Place in Town. I have no idea which Cody's some of these reviewers went to, but they could not have gone to Cody's in Crystal River. The entire room, bar and seating area, is kept immaculate. The food is always delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Where else could two people go for 2 mixed drinks each and a decent burger (with lettuce and tomato) with fries, each, and spend only $13.23 (including tax)?( I should mention that you have to be seated at the bar to get this price; the burger is called the "bar burger".)
Frank, the owner, somehow manages to keep his prices on the low side for this area, whether you want a burger, ribs or a prime rib dinner.
Good Food. Good food for a chain. I like the steaks and the service.
Not bad for a chain. Cheap enough prices for average food.
I really enjoy Cody's!! Our server was Cindy W. and she did a great job!! Seven in our party and she pulled it off without a hitch!! And she's cute!! Johnny
Server could have been more attentive but overall good. Well mannered and knowledgeable about the menu. Very crowded a couple of tables could be removed to allow walking without running into other patrons. Tight squeeze between tables to access bathrooms being seated/leaving.
The service was great, we were seated quickly. The server quickly introduced herself and wrote her name on the the paper that covered the table. The buffalo shrimp appetizer was delicious and shortly after we were served a bottomless salad. I had the prime rib that was cooked perfect and had wonderful flavor. My other over half had the the ribeye-mid rare. He raved about the steak from the first bite through the last. We left no room for dessert. We bought a bottle of the house seasoning and steak sauce, and we will definitely revisit this location in the future while on vacation!
Don't expect any mask wearing at this joint. If that doesn't bother you, then you have a lot to look forward to. Staff was super friendly and the beer was cold. Where else can you get a $3 steakburger?
Awesome service! All the employees were so friendly. Heather was very attentive and inviting. She made the visit a pleasant one. The new Cody's Scallops were delicious. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The bar area is pretty cool and looks like a nice spot to throw back a few adult beverages.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff very sweet. The food amazing they ha 2 for $20 must get. The steak, ribs and coconut shrimp was amazing. They have plastic barriers between tables to protect guest while they eat. Clean establishment. Loved this place will definitely go back.
I've been here many times. Everything I've had here has been good. Friendly waiters, hot food served in a timely manner. Very clean. Reasonably priced.
Food was great. Huge portions, reasonable prices. The cinnamon butter puts Texas road house to shame.
Would give them 6 stars if i could! Love the bartenders Kassi, Vanessa, and Jeri♥♥⚓ the anchors to my life
