My first time I thought my experience would be mediocre at best. Having a coupon, and dismissing the place as a joint, I didn't even bother asking to make the pizza crispy, a must in my opinion. So I get instead, for the first time in my life, a wonderfully evenly-crispy-seriously-deep-dish large Sicilian pizza without asking for crispy. I got the all-veggie, with the Sesame crust and awesome veggies. I'll tell ya, if your experience was like mine, you'll wonder how they did it. I'll be back, especially when you can get a one topping large Sicilian for 10 bucks. There's several top-rated places in the area that can't do equal in 15 minutes, if at all.
Ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza for my parents and I. Delivery was very fast and the pizza fresh. Loved the sausage with the spiciness. Crust was soft and chewy, perfectly baked. Cheese was generous and sauce flavorful. We all enjoyed it.
My family and I order from these guys about once every week or two. We started out choosing your everyday, run of the mill pizzas and graduated to some of their amazing specialty pies. They are friendly, timely, and resonably priced. Take your time and check out all they have to offer.
Love Hungry Howie's Pizza, but if you want a true chicago deep dish go to East of Chicago. Was sadly disappointed in the deep dish. I purchased a large and it was smaller than my other large pizza and didn't have enough sauce on it. I still love their flavored crust!!
I actually had never ordered from Howies and they sent me a free pizza coupon for my bday. We ordered and blatantly told them we had the coupon and it was all we were ordering. ( lets be real , some places would be chinzy knowing that) they def were not! The pizza was HOT and flavorful. You could tell the dough was very fresh and the garlic crust was Yummo! We are new Hungry Howies customers and fans!
