Beautiful location, out waiter was amazing, hr was knowledgeable and attentive he also went above and beyond. He told us his family was from Ethiopia, so if he sees this kudos to you, kind sir. I had the chicken Picatta only thing I didn't care for was that I only had 2 capers. I love them so I searched for them in the dish. Other than that no complaints.
My partner I decided to go to Dakota's last second and we loved every minute of it. You take a lovely elevator trip down with views of thier cascading waterfall feature. Absolutely beautiful. The staff greet greet you and open the door. Luckily enough they had room to accommodate us without a reservation. They put us in a nice private corner. The ambiance of Dakota's is top tier! Great for meetings, but even lovely for a romantic dinner with a partner, as my partner and I experienced. The server was amazing. His name slipped my memory, and I am so sorry, but he was wonderful. Expertly guided through the food and recommendations. We have a plethroa of appetizers, all of which were absolutely delicious. For dinner my partner had the filet mignon with the Dakota house sauce. I had the Australian wagyu (recommended by our waiter) with the Berlaise sauce. Mind-blowing! We did not get to try to dessert menu becuase we were absolutely stuffed with our meals. We will definitely be back we will get to that dessert menu next time!
We chose Dakota's Steakhouse for our 15 year anniversary dinner. It was incredible! They had rose pedals on the table with a card that said Happy Anniversary (see photos). Out server was Christiana she was very polite and professional. She also asked us what year we were celebrating and wished us happy anniversary. For our meal we had the crab cake lollipops as our appetizer. For our entrees my wife had the Beef Wellington with a loaded baked potato and the crispy brussel sprouts. I had the Seafood Bouillabaisse with the mac and cheese. For desert my wife had the creme brulee and I had the chocolate mousse cake. All of the food was literally perfect! My wife enjoyed the table side presentation of the beef Wellington. We would highly recommend Dakota's Steakhouse for any occasion.
Celebrated our anniversary here this evening and the food was amazing! The Beef wellington was cooked to perfection! The sides were fantastic! We had the lobster mac and cheese, the potatoes, asparagus, and Brussel sprouts! The only thing better than the food was the service. Everyone from the Valet to the hostess, servers, and managment were truly impeccable. It was impressive. We will definitely be back soon!
The soft piano music, waterfall view, and table specific lighting created a peaceful ambiance. Dakota’s steakhouse provided me with one of the juiciest steaks I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating and made my first tasting of scallops a lovely experience. My servers name was Abby and she was an absolute sweetheart. I loved my visit and would definitely recommend a visit.
The beef wellington was simply amazing. The crab cake lollipops are a must try as an appetizer. The calamari was lackluster and had an off fry batter, my server took them back and manager came by and advised he had the chef adjust the recipe for the batter. The old fashion is a solid drink choice as well.
Very unique underground steak house. The service was excellent. The setting is formal and everything was pristine. The waterfall was relaxing. The libations were creative and tasty. The steak was excellent and I love how they watched me cut it and verified it was to my liking. This is one of my favorite steak houses in Dallas!
This restaurant was amazing! The service was excellent, they touch your table frequently and make sure your visit is enjoyable. We had Thanksgiving dinner here, they had a preset menu and the choices were excellent.
It was ok considering the price. I wouldn’t think of it as one of the best or the most amazing restaurants in Dallas. Theres definitely a lot better places for a fraction of the price. The food was mediocre, nothing stood out. Atmosphere is pretty low because the outside to inside everything looks super aged.
Was super excited to visit, especially with great reviews. Service was good, food was good, but not worth the price. Glass of wine $24? Ok back to food, one tater tot $3 a piece? But certainly not worth $3, I don't care what it was topped with. Caesar salad was excellent, soup of the day, tomato basil was good. Onto the steaks which is what the star of this restaurant was supposed to be about. When steaks arrive, the server asks you to cut into it to make sure it was at the right temperature we requested - medium rare. Both were not, both were medium but the server convinced my husband his was, even took out her camera to say it was just the lighting. He gave in and kept the steak. I asked that I got a new piece, at the price especially I was so dissatisfied. Second steak finally came out just as my husband finished his entire meal. Needless to say, I didn't want it, but they boxed it up and charged us regardless. The sides were good, the potatoes, creamed spinach. The cacio de pepe risotto was so undercooked, so sad. At end of meal the manager wanted to offer dessert, but by that time we were not interested. He paid for a round of drinks and we left with food that was even worse the next day. The interior was gorgeous and the story behind the restaurant is very nice. At the end, not worth the price.
