This is a fantastic location for a great taco restaurant. I've yet to be disappointed by a Torchy's and this location does the company proud.
If you've never had Torchy's before get ready to have some of the best tacos in Texas. They are hands down the best bet for Migas done correctly. They also serve the best soda in Texas and some of the finest beers as well.
Finally, don't even think about skipping out on the queso.
I have never had to wait long for my food at this location, but it is across the highway from a major university full of hungry kids. If it's peak time just call in your order and then go pick it up. I've ate at this location twice. Only had a problem with the second visit and the lady manager fixed it and gave me all of my money back. I wasn't expecting that either. The staff is great and the food is delicious. Now, the Tyler location, not so much. I recommend the Migas taco with the salsa verde. It's cheap and surprisingly big! I love Torchy's!!
I've eaten at the Torchys in Houston and was skeptical that this would not live up to the standards. Boy was I wrong, this place rocks just as good as the others. Great food, good atmosphere, and customer service. No complaints.
If you think there are better tacos you would be wrong. If you think there are better tacos than Torchy’s there is something medically wrong with you, see a professsional immediately.
We ordered lunch here, 2 days ago and just getting around to leaving a review. We ordered for 7 people. Food was made and delivered pretty quickly. Everyone received everything they ordered and everything was correct nothing messed up with orders. Food arrived warm and was very good. Torchy’s is very consistent with the food, not only at the same location, but different locations as well. I have been to 4 different locations and it is always good. This location gave us great customer service. If you like Torchy’s this location is one of the best.

92/100: This place is amazing. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch, a delightful happy hour, or a special occasion spot, Torchy's Tacos has you covered.
I ordered the green chile pork, the fried avocado and the chicken fajita and it was a delicious choice. Beautiful culinary experience. Trust me, you need to give this place a try.
The dining area is wonderfully accommodating, full of colors, intricate details, and, most importantly, impeccable cleanliness.
I will definitely recommend Torchy's Tacos for a quick lunch, a meal with friends or family or even a fantastic happy hour. efinitely is a great place for happy hour. Plus, they offer the perfect setting to watch a game, whether you prefer to sit inside or outside, and there's free parking available at the front of the store.
Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had!! I ordered 2, but could have only got one because they were stuffed!! The food came out super quick and everything was so fresh and delicious!
Tacos are overrated - both baja shrimp and chicken fajita taco. Doesn't live up to the hype! Barely any flavours coming through - tacos were just assembled without any seasoning. Neither the guacamole nor the pico de galle had any seasoning!
Torchy's Taco is always a great place for tacos - there are limited but amazing vegetarian options. The fried avocado taco is tasty, and has beans, cheese, and pico. It is great especially if you add some diablo sauce and a little ranch as well. The queso was delicious, although you may run out of chips before it's done (try asking for more chips!). Heads up the small margaritas are actually quite small. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, including Mariann!!
There is not a bad taco on the menu, they are all amazing, especially the taco of the month which is always changing so get it while you can. The queso is also very good and would recommend getting. What brings my rating down is the service and atmosphere.
If you order alcohol it can take the servers a while to get it to you. I have been half way through my meal before I get my margarita. The music is also way too loud inside and makes it almost impossible to have a conversation or order food.
I love Torchy's but especially this location! All of their employees are so friendly but especially Brooklyn who helped me retrieve my lost wallet. Such a welcoming smile and personality! I will for sure be back for my Trailer Park Trashy tacos!!
Delicious tacos - loved the shrimp one best! The margarita was watered down and kinda expensive considering there was very little alcohol but other then that was super tasty - I will definitely be back !
Very cool, laid back taco place, but the tacos are more high end and different which we appreciated. Sat at the bar, the bartender was very nice and had some good recommendations. Happy hour gives you a 2 dollar discount on beer, as well on the margheritas which were really good. We each got 2 different tacos, he got the shrimp one, and the fried chicken. I got the pork carnitas and Jamaican jerk chicken one. All were pretty tasty, the sauces on the side were great. We did start with chips, salsa, queso and guacamole. The guac was awesome and chips nice and thin and salty. Definitely recommend!

I am a regular at Torchy’s! Queso is the best queso I’ve ever had. The tacos are excellent! A must have in the Texas Mexican Food scene. Jake was awesome at the front!
Pretty good for my first time. Huge tacos. Loved the queso. Will return!
High energy, friendly greeting . . . what’s your specialty dish? She could not answer, after asking three different ways. I put money on the counter to pay, she thanked me & put it in the tip jar. In her mind, their specialty must have been queso because she mentioned the dish as an add on or side five or six times. Turns out their best seller is a taco called the Trailer Park. Nothing more than a deep fried chicken tender taco. Item #2 on the menu was a Pork Tip Taco. That was yummy. Retried beans were good, too. Clean, young crowd, families, good vibes. The menu seems worth exploring. Skip the Trailer Park if you want “real” food. ;-)
Torchys is an awesome taco place. One of my favorites along with Urban Taco. I've tried most the others and they don't compare. It's also a pretty nice restaurant with good fountain and fresh mixed drinks. Tacos range from 3 to 5 dollars and you'll. need two maybe three if you're hungry.
The manager, Justin is an angel. I had a really bad day and had several things in my pickup order get messed up and of course didn’t realize until I was all the way home. I was so excited to try the taco of the month and I hadn’t gotten to and the month was almost over. I left a message not expecting anything in return and the manager at this location went above and beyond to make it right to me. He made sure that I got to try the taco of the month (which was amazing btw!!) and even made sure I could get some tacos next time. I had lost all hope but it has completely turned around. Which thank GOODNESS because torchys is one of my absolute favorites. Come to the SMU location because they will take care of you no matter what. Justin seems like a manager who is on top of it. Thank you!!

Whether take out or dine in, this place is always on point. If you love cheese you cannot eat there without getting green Chile queso. That is a must for me every time. Everything always fresh and nice quantity.
They had me at Queso! Yes in Texas Taco places are practically on every corner. As an agent that specializes in relocation in Dallas, a Tex-Mex go to I can count on is a must. Most first timers to the great state of Texas have we want TexMex on their must experience list. Torchy's never disappoints.
