A clean and spacious full service coffee shop that is well-lit and has a comfy, but high-class feel. Not the best place to go study since they don't have power outlets (it's more like a restaurant than a coffee shop), but it's nonetheless a nice place to hang out. They have a good variety of sandwiches, soups, and bowls and also have a breakfast menu available in the mornings. The location is within walking distance of several restaurants and bars and a giant eyeball. There's public parking less than a block away.
A fabulous little coffee joint that is fabulously casual, the only issue is that the music is slightly more than ambient noise calls for. But the staff is friendly, and they have a great menu. Still a nice place to chill and sip some coffee.
I had a cup of the Dukunde Kawa, a great espresso that the barista called 'londerful' lovely+wonderful.
Another one of my favorite coffee spots. I've reviewed their coffee in the past, always rich and flavorful. I really enjoyed their rotator beans, definitely swing by and take a bag.
When I have time to spare I try and eat something different every time. So far this one's my favorite - Smoked Salmon BLT. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot.
The Ricotta Hotcake was delicious! I drank the Ugly Sweater Coffee with a hint of Chocolate, and it was yummy! I also had the Moroccan Lamb Flatbread for lunch and it was delicious! The atmosphere is really nice and comfortable, cost is reasonable, and service was exceptional! I would definitely recommend Ascension Coffee House! ☕️
Awesome coffee and menu! I almost gave it a 4 star rating because service was friendly, but a bit slow, and we didn’t love one of our plates. However, I’m sticking with 5 because the coffee is excellent and the over menu is too.
My husband stuck with our wheel-house cappuccinos. We figure if a place can make an awesome cap, then everything else will be great too. Ascension offers one of the best we’ve had in dallas. From the perfect foam to the beautiful art. It was so good, we had two.
We also ordered the Ricotta Hotcake (5stars golden perfection) and the buratta and tomato jam board. We LOVED the hotcake. It was perfection and I’d be hard pressed not to get it again. We didn’t love the tomato jam though. However, we opted to add the wagyu pastrami which was absolutely delicious.
The cafe itself it super cute. It’s seat yourself but a server takes care of all your needs. The atmosphere is modern yet comfortable, and I loved all the pics of the coffee fields on the walls. This would be a great place to hang out for a relaxing day of coffee, food, and studying.
Overall, we had an excellent experience that was relaxing and delicious. We would definitely come here again. I liked it so much, I’m adding it to my coffee list.
We went there for breakfast, the food was actually very good. So was the coffee, much better than the average breakfast coffee you get in other places. The service was fast and friendly. All in all, a very good experience.
That comes at a price however. Given the serving sizes, googles “$$” rating is a bit optimistic, I would say.
I would recommend that place. Especially when you’re not “hungry hungry”.
Our waitress was Natalie. She was super friendly. Our drinks were delicious. We ordered the hummus appetizer. We recommend it. Very delicious. It came with pesto on it. Im very picky with pesto, and this one was delicious. Good drink sizes for the price too.
One of my favorite places for a good latte! Great location in central downtown Dallas. They also sell their coffee mugs and I love collecting coffee mugs from different coffee shops. On top of great coffee they have great food too! We had the ricotta hot cakes this past time and loved it!! So good! Definitely recommend checking out either this location or any other Ascension Coffee!
Great atmosphere. The service was good and explained the coffees to us. Food was SO good! I definitely recommend the avacado toast.
LOVE this place!
It’s a coffee shop, sit-down restaurant and has a “fast-food” style option if you need to grab-and-go (though this food is definitely more upscale than traditional fast-food).
Very friendly staff, chic wood modern atmosphere, and delicious bites.
THIS PLACE IS A MUST IF YOU ARE IN DOWNTOWN DALLAS!
Loved the vibe of this place. Terrific cold brew, would love to stop back in for a bite to eat when back in Dallas, as their food looks incredible. Recommend the coffee at minimum!
Friendly staff, great tasting food, great atmosphere. Loved the homefries and French toast. The orange maple syrup is phenomenal.
The Coffee and Brunch here is to die for. We come here mostly all weekend for Brunch. High quality food, open ambience, amazing customer service, best Mimosas and reasonable price are the reason why we keep coming back to this place from Coppell TX.
Our team came here every week. It was fantastic. Both coffee and food. My favorite is Chia Seed Pudding.
I passed by this coffee shop a few times and finally got to try it out !! Omg I’m in love ! The food and tea was so yummy ! I got the Original Avocado Toast and a regular chai tea latte. The avocado toast was superb ! Eggs poached perfectly ! Chai Tea so creamy ! Definitely my Saturday morning breakfast go to from now on !!
Lovely coffee shop, and great service. Our server Megan welcome us with sun shine smile and professional introduce interesting coffee on menu. Nice place to come by.
Pleasant tucked-away place with a nice selection.
Staff were very homely as well.
Try out their coffee of the month!
It's nice, casual brunch ambiance. Comfortable seating with large windows. Very near the eyeball.
Natalie my waitress very friendly. HUGE cup of coffee for $3. Lots of drink choices from coffee to sodas and tea as well as beer and wine. I did not eat but they have breakfast as well as some good looking sandwich food boards.
