I would like to extend a big thank you to all staff! They did a wonderful job from beginning to end. They welcome you like they knew you forever. The food was great as well. Next time we are in town, we will be sure to stop by!
The presence of El Fenix has been a part of Dallas culture since 1918. Catering, dine-in and curbside pick-up. Quick service and delicious food. Traditional Mexican Food, unlimited chips and salsa. A small benefit worth it, as some places charge for chips now. In addition to a traditional menu they have street tacos and El Pastor, (pork). I went with the Juarez and my husband got fajita beef nachos. The food came quickly and it was hot! Yum. We got a fresh basket of chips and more salsa too! We ate too much, but didn't eat it all. They gave us a to go container and a bag for the chips! They sale their chips, salsa and pecan pralines by the cashier where you pay. Overall a great visit. We're definitely going to return. P.S. hand sanitizer was posted throughout the restaurant including in the restrooms.
My son and I stopped to have a late birthday lunch and our server was named Yolanda. She was absolutely amazing! Very friendly and helpful! And our food was delicious. We haven't had El Fenix in a long time. Thank you Yolanda for our amazing visit, we will be back soon!
We've been enjoying this El Fenix location for forty years! The memories of visits in the past are matched by the unfailing service and menu offerings you'll find today. A classic grand style of the interior decor harkens back to the days before fast-food cookie cutter clutter. No dismal millenial-depressive grey and barnwood here; the flair is warm, inviting and familiar. Sample those freshly made tortilla chips and their signature salsa, and tell me you don't want to purchase extra to take home with you! The food is generous in both portion size and in flavors. We'll be back for more memory making dinners, and you should, too!
The food was good, had a great atmosphere. House margarita was good. Would recommend.
The best Tex-Mex in Dallas. This place is an institution. It's been around forever and for a very good reason. It's really just the mother of Tex-Mex.
This El Fenix has been here for a long time. I just happened to be in the area so I decided to eat there. I got the Enchiladas and they were great. I was super satisfied and can't wait to drive all the way across town from Wylie to go there again. My wife and I are planning on doing our 38th anniversary dinner there and may bring our kids/grandkids too. They are a class act, highly recommend!
Unexpected, but surprisingly good. Fast service, chips served with seperate salsa bowls for each of us. The fajita enchiladas were new to us but we both enjoyed them!
We had an early dinner around 4 or 5 pm on Sunday at this El Fenix location on Webb Chapel. It was my first time eating at this particular location, and we had a really great meal and experience! The food was just as good or better than the NW Highway or downtown Dallas locations that I used to eat at frequently 5+ years ago. And it was 5,000 times better than the old Addison location on Belt Line and 10,000 times better than the Plano location off 75 (which was so bad I stopped eating at El Fenix for ~3 or 4 years).
One thing that made our experience even better at this location was our server. I asked him his name, because I wanted it publicly known how much better he made this experience for my wife and me. His name was Tony and he was friendly, attentive, and really made the experience so much better. It's one thing to have a good meal, but it's another thing to have it enhanced by a friendly server who cares about doing a good job and making the experience great for the people eating there. Tony was perfect.
In summary, the food surprised us because it was so great, but the service from Tony was so great that I hope to have him as my server the next time I come back. And I will come back!
Classic tex-mex fare, when you get nostalgic for traditional skirt steak fajitas, this is the place to go. The Inca Gold margarita is as good as it gets in my book. Great wait staff as well.

They forgot an item I ordered, which was repeated twice. So I go all the way home to find out it's not in the bag. I order from them all the time. Other than that, their food is good.
Good place to have a nice dinner and relax is very low key, the service is expitional the only thing is missing more activities at the bar area more music and TV.

Solid Tex Mex at reasonable lunch prices. Full on flavor. Not great presentation. Good complimentary chips and salsa.
We were able to get a table for 12 seated within 15 minutes at lunch time.
My carnitas were good. A bit fatty but that's authentic and the way I like them. If you're going to the Perot and want good food, just walk across the street.
