The name pretty much says it all, the best old fashioned burger at a reasonable price with great quick service, and if your not a burger person they have a wide variety of other delicious items on the menu, meat loaf for example. Very much worth a try IMO.

A A Traveler's delight and a local favorite!. My wife and I travel from Seattle, Wa to Dallas/ Fort Worth on a regular basis for business. Wehad a local cab driver mention Pappy's as we were heading to a meeting. On our return trip to the motel, we stopped by Pappy's Old Fasion Hamburger Company. Service was fantastic, food was well priced and enough to fill you up.
A very clean cafe, nice and entertaining 50'S decor and music made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
The large selections on the menu will surprise you.
Definitely will be back,

A bit pricey, double cheese burger, regular size fries and drink cost me $15.86. I suggest you look at the menu before ordering your food, being that this is a burger restaurant I automatically ordered a burger without viewing the menu, nonetheless they advertise that their burgers are 1 pound in weight, which I didn’t know beforehand. The burgers are good, although it wasn’t seasoning on the meat so I sprinkle a little salt on mine. When the fries I ordered got to my table they were hot and fresh and tasted good. In conclusion I’ll say come hungry and ready to eat, be sure to view the menu before ordering and if you like a busy crowd go during lunch time.
Had their daily special (a hamburger patty sirloin steak). It was delicious, and they were serving their lunch menu EARLY. Good service, clean tables, wide selection of menu items. The fried okra was tasty too
This is a must for lunch in the Love Field area off Mockingbird. Many choices on the menu, best burger you've had since childhood. Or order one of the many plates they offer. Don't forget your desert. Tea is fresh brewed just like it is meant to be. Dine in or take it to go.
Best burgers in this area! The husband and wife are super sweet. Today I had the salad for the first time cause I've been forced to diet and it was good as well.

I've passed this place several times and never realized they had breakfast because their Google listing doesn't really show that. Decided to stop in since their open sign was lit up at 8:00 in the morning. Pleasantly surprised. I really liked the pancakes
No frills, "hole-in-the-wall" burger joint with excellent food. Portions are huge and service friendly. I recommend you give 'em a try!

Greasy spoon type fare, and the fries in particular were excellent. I appreciated the various Tabasco sauces at every table, as I prefer spicier food. I would highly recommend staying here to eat, as it seems like foods that wouldn't travel well and should be eaten fresh for best results.

Simple old school hamburger shop great sandwiches great service, this is what you need.not a bunch of pre-made artificial hamburgers like Burger King Jack in the box Sonic Whataburger real food real sandwiches what you live for
The burger was huge (1/2lb) and very tasty. You pay for it, of course. The service was friendly and efficient. A multi-bag orderer in front of us cost us perhaps 15 extra minutes. It was relatively crowded, for 1PM. The rest of the menu looked very interesting, and I can't wait to go back and explore it.

A place to share with your kids or friends that think the quick serve places are just fine. Waiting a few more minutes for the real thing while you check out some history on these walls is worth it.

I loved this place at first sight. Before walking in, I just knew it would be the perfect type of place for me. Upon walking in, it was even more evident. The menu was straight out of a country restaurant with greasy spoon burger joint added on. My only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating was I ordered a large onion ring to go with my chili cheeseburger (freaking amazing, the best that I have had in over 15 years at least) but only recieved 5 onion rings. I ordered a large because I knew that my husband would be stealing them. This left little for me.....They did get swamped right after we came in, and I could have not made it clear that the order was to go, so they accidentally made it for there than had to package it. As said, that may be my fault. I wish that I could have given 4 1/2 stars instead. We couldn't help it and had to grab homemade dessert (buttermilk pie for me, peach cobbler for him,) but I couldn't finish but 1/2 of my burger and not even 2 rings, so it will just have to wait until I am able to eat again to be devoured.
Excellent burgers. And the rest of the food looks great too. These aren't squished patties! Juicy and thick! Homemade without the mess. I'm sure this place stays hopping. So don't dilly dally or therewill be a crowd.
Price is only thing that keeps this from 5 Stars fur me. But at least you get what you pay for.
It's a hamburger joint with a diverse menu including chicken fried steak, meatloaf, and all-you-can-eat pancakes. What's not to love? Since the chicken-fried steak is the benchmark of perfection in Texas, I had to give this place five stars. The sides were delicious. The batter to steak ratio was perfect. And the staff was extremely down-to-earth and nice. I thought the price was good and the atmosphere was casual.
