My wife and I tried this place last night, and loved it! From the greeting, to the server, to the dessert & coffee, it was delightful. The guy a table away from us, came in and was asking about a certain beer, and his waitress brought him a shot-glass sample. When we ordered coffee, I asked if it was strong, and our server gave us complimentary coffee - I wasn't trying to get it free, I just like bold coffee. His tip was over 25%, so I felt good about it. We will definitely be going back!
My new found local favorite place! I love it!! The food is great! My fav - Shrimp and Crab Martini! I also had the bread pudding yesterday! Fantastic!! The wine and beer selection is awesome! Hob Nob Pinot Noir! Plus!! The coffee is great!! Thanks Lake House!!
Really enjoy the food and people at Lakehouse. I think I'm addicted to the Fish Tacos. Great place to go before or after sailing aboard The Spirit Of Dallas sailboat on White Rock Lake.
I had a great server! He went out of his way to make some really super good cocktail sauce for my shrimp martini... Love that place.

One of my best friends took me there yesterday for my birthday. My first time there. Loved the Dallasite martini and stuffed mushrooms! We sat at the bar where everyone talks to each other. Fun and friendly!
Best mac & cheese in Dallas, and great selection of wine! I'm in love with this place - food is fantastic (steak, mussels, brunch menu - yummy!) - and the staff is friendly & attentive. I'll be back...often!

We ate at Lake House today and the food and service were absolutely phenomenal! Having a not quite 2 year old I get a little nervous going out to restaurants! The owner, John, could not have been more accommodating. We sat at a table in the back and the bench seating was perfect and comfortable for a toddler! Our chips, salsa, and queso were out of this world. The half off bottles of wine for happy hour could not be beat! The mussels with pasta, shrimp, and seafood was very flavorful! It was served over linguini (which my daughter enjoyed immensely). Laid back, excellent service, family friendly, and the price was right.......The Lake House has won us over to be regulars! Thanks so much to John, staff, and kitchen! Excellent experience all round!

This review is long overdue. We have been coming to the Lake House Bar and Grill about once a week for a long time and it is one of our favorites in Dallas. We usually finish up a bike ride or run around White Rock Lake at this little unassuming jewel. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, the owner is very hands-on and caring person and the atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. It is a great little brunch spot on Sat and Sun. Some of our favorites are the Calamari, Mussles, Shrimp Avocado Salad, Shrimp Po-Boy and Crab Cake sandwich to name a few. Oh! and the garlic butter fries are to die for! Very relaxed atmosphere and nice cool pet friendly patio. The chef is accomodating to special requests if it is possible. Lots of great experiences but a few extra-mile service experiences to mention: after a long bike ride from Arlington, we experienced heat exhaustion and the server (I want to say Heather ((I hope that is correct)) gave almost 911 care and attention, bringing pitchers of water to pour over, cold towels, allowed to lie down on bench outside...anything needed and not asked for anything in return. 2. On 4th of July, the restaurant was closed, but the owners family was there using the patio privately. He was so kind to offer cold ice water and rest on the patio after a long hot ride in 100* heat. We look forward to many more meals there and bringing many more friends in the years to come.
We swung in here for a few pints and low and behold they had my all time favorite beer ON DRAFT!!! FRANZISKANER. We sat at the bar and the Bartender made very sure we were takin care of. The manager Mark swung by and chit chatted with us. What a good time. We found this place by seeking a place to go to before a movie.
The decor and structure of this place is amazing. I wanna go back for that alone. I loved it.

Love this place! I was visiting from denver and had Marissa as my bartender, she was fantastic! She made me feel like I have been here many times before! Next time I'm in town. I will definitely be back!

Located just a bit off the north end of the trail around White Rock Lake in an unassuming white block is the Lake House. The non pretentious vibe carries through to not only the interior but the back dog friendly covered patio as well. Anchored at its center by a local beer stocked U shaped bar. Staff is friendly and efficient- Heather seems to somehow see what is needed before you have a chance to ask.
Food wise- fresh tasty fare. The menu descriptions are brief, so if you have particular allergies 🤧 or items you wish to avoid you may want to ask your server for clarification; for example, the shrimp avocado salad (delish!!!!) comes standard with a 1000 island type dressing. Not detailed in menu. The shrimp is always perfectly butter tender and the avocado 🥑 perfect ripe- I order without the dressing so those flavors are not masked. But that is my general style- not big on dressings- let the flavors come through. The point- first time I ordered I was disappointed to discover the dressing. Lol!
As a real estate pro specializing in White Rock Lake area, Lake House is an excellent local haunt to share. No formalities. Broad appeal menu w yes an emphasis on fish. Ask what the days specials are, both food and drink. Weekends all day seem to get a bit crowded with post games or Lake workout groups chilling- which adds to the laid back vibe. Delish food will have you smiling.
