I was in the area and wanted to try something new. I decided to try Sheba's Ethiopian Food. I noticed that a lot of beautiful Ethiopian people were sitting around, talking, and enjoying themselves. I knew I was in the right place for authentic Ethiopian food!!! I was greeted by the bartender. She was very kind and assisted me with my order. I didn't want anything spicy (most items on tge menu are spicy). She recommended the beef tips. I declined because I eat that all the time at soul food restaurants. I decided to try the fried whole fish. Idk what kind of fish it was lol but it was really good. It wasn't too salty at all but very flavorful. My order came with a salad and bread. The salad was fresh. I ordered collard greens because I wanted to try the Ethiopian version. It was tasty. I could taste the garlic and other spices. Give it a try. I would recommend this restaurant. I observed what others ordered as I waited for my food. The servings are very large. At least 2-4 people can eat a plate of food (seriously). My boyfriend and I split my food. Affordable Prices!! *However, I did wait 40 mins for my order (fried whole fish takes time to cook) but it was worth the wait. I believe they play live music and have a DJ on weekends. Americans people, I would recommend this place. Enjoy!!!

Outstanding service, excellent cuisine. Ordered the half half special with chicken and beef. $16 and easily feeds two. Lively atmosphere, full service bar, family friendly. The spices were just perfect and served with a smile. We will be back!

The food here is absolutely wonderful! I like to get the vegetarian combo. My only complaint: sometimes they don't have all the components of the meal, and rather than subbing it with more of the other options, it just gets left out, and I still pay for the same for less food.

My friends and I had a great time at Sheba’s!! Just a heads up for those who haven’t tried Ethiopian food before.. you eat with your hands. Unless you’re eating soup, of course. I haven’t asked, but I’m sure they would supply silverware for those who rather not use their fingers to eat. When our server learned that it was my birthday, she made coffee on the house! That was very sweet of her and the coffee was very, very good! Ask for some steamed milk on the side with your coffee! You won’t regret it!

Truly a fantastic experience. The family meals had generous portions. Two orders of the general "Taste of Ethiopia" shareable plates easily fed a group of four, with quite a bit leftover. It's not on the menu as far as I'm aware, but finishing off the meal with an order of the Buna (Ethiopian coffee for four) was great. They bring out a pot of strong, fresh, roasted coffee to share among those at the table. We sat there for about an hour after eating just enjoying each other's company while sipping the coffee. This restaurant has definitely made it onto my favorites list!

The vegetarian platter is great. A side we hadn’t had yet at any other Ethiopian restaurant is the green beens. They are fantastic!

What an extraordinary experience that I had today at Sheba's. The service is absolutely superb and the owner makes you feel so appreciated immediately upon arrival. The food is a delicacy and it is an honor to be exposed to authentic, pure, wholesome, and healthy food. I just want to thank you so much Tsegay for owning a place like this and making our entire party happy during our entire dinner. We not only will be returning as frequent customers, but also recommending this establishment to others.

Deciding to step outside of our food comfort level and entertain our palette to something new and different my wife and I stopped in at Shebas with a friend. We ordered Ethiopian beer ( which was amazing) and a couple of appetizers to start off with. Sambusa - Seasoned lentils with Onions and jalepanos wrapped in pastry sheet and deep fried And Kitfo - Steak tartar served from selected lean ground beef seasoned with spiced butter and bird'd eye chili pepper (mitmita). My wife can’t eat overly spicy foods but was able to enjoy both appetizers (kind of apprehensive at 1st about eating raw meat but she found out during this that she loves Steak Tartar) After the appetizers I had the Dallas Special- Meat cubes marinated and sauteed with onions, jalapeno, and black peppers cooked medium rare. *Loved it! And my wife had the Short Ribs -Beef ribs seasoned with black pepper and special spices, grilled. The ribs were a little over cooked but very tasty and enjoyable. Our friend went all out and ordered the Best of Ethiopia Combination plate - Doro wot, kitfo, wiht a choice of Lamb and Beef tibs with house Vegetable This combination plate is huge and can easily feed three people so we all shared this. Everything on the combination plate was amazing even though I couldn’t tell what everything was I was eating just by site alone other than the Duro Wat & Steak Tartar. The only thing I didn’t try was the cabbage. Sheba’s is an excellent place to go eat and I highly recommend checking it out!!

I’ve been going here for over 15 years. I love the comfort foods here and the fried fish is awesome! A family favorite whenever I’m in Dallas.

I start by saying i have never had Ethiopian food before. Upon walking into the restaurant the smell is amazing, the waitresses were so nice and the food was so unbelievably tasteful. The prices are so reasonable and i would rather eat here than the fancy restaurants downtown.

A fine place to meet up and eat. My wife and I met up with friends here and ate ourselves silly for 2 hours. Veg platter for me, tibs for my wife and my friend and half & half for his wife, Heineken on tap, great iced tea. Out the door for $100 - money well spent. The locals were spending a bit less, but we were putting on the dog. Top notch restaurant.

One day my mom told me she had craving for fried fish and I was debating which ethiopan resturant to choose. I was a bit worried in the beginning, what if it doesn't work out . I went to sheba kitchen I ordered on the phone and the lady that took my order was professional and she gave me an estimate time of 30 minutes and it was ready within the time frame I am told . When I arrived at the restaurant the lady working there was very prompt and I didn't tell her my order she knew right away for that I tipped her, I was impressed by her attentiveness. Lets get to the good part the fried fish it was so delicious I ate it to the bone and my mom was happy with the food. You have earned life long customer. I just want to say thank you .
