I cannot even begin to describe how delicious their food was! I got the vegan chick'em with tater tots and vegan mac and cheese. The chick'em was perfectly crunchy, had a delicious flavor in the breading, and was not at all greasy. The tater tots were also perfectly crunchy but had their own flavor. The mac and cheese was a perfect compliment to the fried things, it was slightly sweet-which was new for me, but delicious none the less. I wish they were closer, because the price was beyond affordable and the portion was way generous!

This is some of the best vegan food I have ever eaten her cheese combination are amazing and that vegan strawberry cake was incredible And you have to try her homemade ranch😀👍🏻🙏🏻☮️🕉❤️
I loved the fried oyster mushrooms, macaroni & cheese as well as the nachos and I received really good service.
I’m not a Vegan but I was told that eating vegetables like this won’t clog up my arteries. They also have a good selection of non Vegan foods that are delicious
Sooooo good. The mushroom chicken is phenomenal!!!
Its in a little corner of a tiny shopping mall and parking can be tough but the food is def worth it.
So, so good.
Going back as soon as we can.
The food was great and the staff were so friendly. The vegan banana pudding was awesome!
This place was great! Friendly staff, great food!

Go Go Go - You might just find yourself staring into space thinking about how good it was. Chick'em with mac'n'cheese.
Mannnnn this place is Da Bomb. We got the Fried Chickem and Nachos. It was sooooooooo so so so good. We’ll definitely return!!!
New go-to spot for vegan comfort food! The vegan fried chick’em is amazing. Tots and Mac n Cheese are great sides to go with it.
Great food and great service for vegans and non-vegans....reasonably priced with nice sized portions. I will definitely be back!
I have been a loyal customer of Vegan Food House for the past three months and have thoroughly enjoyed their food. The convenience of their delivery service has made it a go-to option for me almost every weekend. The restaurant itself has a pleasant atmosphere when I choose to dine in.
However, I have experienced some issues with online orders. There have been multiple instances where items from my order were missing. It seems that the staff may not be taking the time to thoroughly check the orders for accuracy, particularly during closing time. During these moments, I have encountered some employees who were rude, short, and snippy, particularly one girl with red hair.
As a customer who values and invests my hard-earned money in this establishment, I believe it is not unreasonable to expect the employees to ensure that online orders are complete and accurate. It would also be greatly appreciated if they could maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor. After all, I eagerly anticipate enjoying the food and a positive experience when I choose Vegan Food House.
Lots of Cajun food choices such as Po’ Boys, shrimp, etc.. I had the vegan grilled chicken sandwich with fries & sweet tea.. sweet tea taste similar to lemon aid not sweet tea and the sandwich had good flavor but was more greasy than I like.. the bread was very oily and same as fries. May be cholesterol free but not free from heavy saturated fats! 😳 Overall, they serve good tasting vegan food! My brothers enjoyed their dishes too as shown in the pics.
Great Vegan spot in Dallas! This day I got the fried shrimp tacos - incredible and had a great texture. I also got the country fried plate it was amazing. The mushroom was incredible and great meaty bite. I would have preferred the corn to be hot but it was okay. I also would have liked the corn to have a bit more salt. The bread was amazing. The mashed potatoes were great. The pasta&cheese was good… I hope they bring back elbow noodles or shell. Otherwise a great meal and had plenty of leftovers.
The food was amazing. It was very different than your typical vegan restaurant. The food was very flavorful and you wouldn’t know it was vegan just by taste. I couldn’t try it all but i highly doubt there is a single item on their menu that isn’t top tier.
The service was great and the women who took our order were very friendly and helpful.
This place- heavenly. My boyfriend has been vegan for a year and I’ve never seen his face light up like when he took a bite of the boudin burger.
The kitchen bowl was not my favorite but just because corn was a little too sweet. However I still almost finished it because the flavor was bomb.
The fries poutin I think that’s how you pronounce it- seriously so flavorful and good.
My favorite though …. And I mean dreamy - I’ll be thinking about it for a long time LOL and I’m not even vegan is those dang shrimp and grits. So good and flavorful. I mean I could order it everyday and still look forward to it. I ate all my left overs.
The atmosphere was beautiful. Bit warm inside but to be expected in Texas summers.
Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Love this place. Hope it continues to thrive.
Definitely worth the drive from Houston, wish we had one!
Immaculate vibes and eats for a reasonable price! Greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I walked in, the choice of scenery and playlist go hand and hand, and to top it off the food was delicious. I had the Souther Dinner Lunch Plate and added on Macaroni & Cheese. 10/10 from the crisp of the “fish” to the flavor of each side. Even the garlic bread was outstanding. Definitely making this a routine spot.
You just come in and find a seat and use the QR code on the table to order. If you like happy welcoming customer service, you might not want to come here. That’s not what they do here. The food was really good and creative. I am not sure what my daughter ordered, but I got the seafood Mac. She had fried mushrooms that resembled BBQ Chik’N wings. It was salty and greasy, but yummy!

Just... wow!
This neighborhood restaurant is now my number one vegan restaurant in DFW.
I had the smokey chopped jackfruit sandwich with slaw and home fries. My wife had the shrimp Po boy with fries.
Yes, this establishment markets itself as serving vegan "bar food." But this experience was, for me and my wife, gourmet. This is bar food, but elevated and ethical.
The smoky jackfruit sandwich was tender, juicy (but not soggy) and the light sweetness of the slaw served on a fresh ben was the perfect contrast to complex and deep seasonings and marinade used on the jackfruit. A cool and crisp, fresh ring of white onion balanced the acidic bite of the jackfruit and the sweetness of the slaw. I normally deplore a hot sandwich that doesn't have vegan cheese on it. This sandwich does not need vegan cheese.
The fries were firm and crispy, but then soft and smooth to the bite.
The showstopper, though, was the sandwich I didn't order but wish I did: the shrimp Po boy. At first I was actually a little skeptical that what I was eating was possibly shrimp. The texture, and that beautiful sting of New Orleans zest just made the sandwich taste exactly like shrimp. And I say this as someone who grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast and spent years shoving fried and broiled shrimp into my face.
I also appreciated how beautifully the food was plated. The food doesn't just smell divine and taste like ambrosia. It hits the eye pretty nicely, too.
But what probably sealed the deal for us was just how busy the vegan food house was. The neighborhood loves this joint.
Whenever I think of a restaurant that could convince omni's to go vegan, I will now think of vegan food house in Bishop Arts. I almost grieve that this spot is 45 minutes away from my house. But maybe the distance will keep this restaurant a special spot that I intentionally visit for a beautiful meal in a wonderful atmosphere.
We will definitely be back, though not as often as I would like.
I love this place! The atmosphere is so cool; the room is kind of dim and they have tons of plants and lots of different kinds of seating. You scan the QR code for the menu and then order. They call your name and you go grab your food from the counter. Our food came out really quickly and my chai tea was delicious! My mom isn’t vegan and she thought it was SO GOOD!!! I had my kid with me (16 months) and it’s not really a super kid friendly place but it was fine! Very cool location! Would go again!
Amazing Gem. A major bright spot in our trip to the Dallas area. Staff is friendly and you can tell the food is made with care. We had an early flight and didn't eat much so we wanted a hearty lunch when we landed. They let us bring our luggage in to save a long Lyft ride back and forth from our hotel. We enjoyed it so much we came back on our way out of town for lunch and to pick up breakfast sandwiches to eat ahead of our 6am flight the next day.
Crab balls are amazing!! Po boys are amazing!! Service was awesome!! 4 stars because the music was super loud, parking is rough, geits wete extra salty, and there were a bunch of flies inside.
This place is definitely bussin. The food is always amazing, the service is awesome, the food is still steaming when it arrives. Five stars is an understatement. We live an hour away from this spot and we gladly make the drive knowing what's in store. We are definitely looking forward to visiting their 2nd spot to try out the vegan mexicano dishes... review to come.
Vegan food house is a chill restaurant with great food. Today I had it delivered and I ordered the southern catch, a side of fries and the kitchen bowl. The southern catch comes with Mac and cheese, corn and smashed potatoes and the kitchen bowl is; filled with Mac and cheese, red potatoes, cheese sauce green onions, fried cauliflower bites and drizzled with buffalo sauce. The fried oyster mushrooms were so juicy, and the fry was cooked to perfection with so much flavor. The kitchen bowl was great, I love eating a mixture of food together. The Mac and cheese side tasted sweet today. It's never tasted that way before, so I'm guessing it may have been a one off situation. Overall, other than the Mac and cheese everything has been great.
Food 5/5
Service 5/5
Atmosphere 5/5
Cleanliness 5/5
Parking 3/5
This restaurant exceeded my every expectation. Lovely atmosphere, professional service, incredible food. Everything is so jam-packed with flavor in each bite. The cauliflower stuff is fairly no-frills but if you really want a treat then try the banana blossom or oyster mushroom “meats”, the former really impressed everyone in my group. I am personally grossed out by catfish and so in my opinion the banana blossom catfish here is better than the real deal from anywhere else. I’m glad I got the combo platter to try everything but if I come back I will certainly get the “catfish” po’ boy fondue and the macaroni again, they were SO good. Seriously the best vegan eatery I’ve been to in years.
I have been a fan of this place for many years as they were one of the very first vegan locations that I found in Dallas that cooked real vegan food such as oyster mushrooms. Over time, they have begun to adopt fake meat and processed items, which in my opinion only waters down what they originally had. With that being said, the food is still very tasty. The only issue I have had with the food is the pricing for some items, such as the large macaroni where you’re supposed get like 32 ounces of macaroni. Instead, of getting macaroni, you get two bowls of spaghetti with some kind of flavoring (definitely not a cheese sauce). I don’t know what was in it. Definitely was not worth the money. However, that is only one item that I’ve been disappointed with. Everything else for the most part has been really good.
