I will say that I may have found a new fast food place to visit from time to time. In the past I've always over looked this place simply because it's not one of the main burger places a lot of people are aware of. This was my experience:
*Place*
Has a diner look to it. Looked clean. I didn't go into the bathroom, so I'm not sure about that.
*Patrons*
The people who visit here seem like nice people, but the way they speak can come off as rude. However, being familiar with this environment I knew people were just wanting to get everything they wanted, which is understandable.
*Food*
I had the AW1 combo with an upgrade to the Root beer shake and a side of cheese curds. Everything tasted good! The cheese curds are a lot (about 8oz of cheese) for the regular size. The float was really good and had a slight caramel flavor to it. Burger was made to order. I didn't finish all my food, it was a lot lol
*Employees*
The person who I assume to be the manager (a heavyset lady) took my order. She was nice and explain what the cheese curds were, which made me want to try them. However it seems that the younger associates were lacking training. She had to direct one young man to mop up the floor from a spilt drink; to another young lady in the cooking area she mentions some things, and to the girl with braids not to say certain things out loud.
Overall it was good and I'll be sure to visit AW again in the future.
Store has very cute vintage diner look, complete with vinyl benches, colorful art, etc. Very nice staff. Only took star off since area itself often has shady people outside. Not that they can help it. Just FYI if you intend to eat there, don't do it in your car.
The service was just OK, take in mind that they are currently short-staffed. With that being said, the food was hot and fresh. I'll definitely be going back.
Food is yummy, just way too much shredded lettuce for a burger but still delicious. I didn't know instead of fries you can get any sides which is way different and cool. I'll be coming here more often, the service is a little slow and they didn't ask if I wanted ketchup or give me a receipt.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. I finally did yesterday. I recommend this place. I tried their Grilled Salmon and Shrimp platter with 2 sides. It didn't quite fill me up but it was good. Perhaps, I will get 2 platters next time in order to be satisfied.
The store was clean and the staff was fast and friendly with my order. Even with it being a fast food restaurant one of the staff members came around and asked how everybody was doing and I thought that was a very nice touch. Love having an A&W Root Beer restaurant around visiting their brings back so many good memories from childhood. They share the building with Long John Silver's restaurant.
My family love Long John. They have good specials on a family meals. The food is cook fresh. The lady who served us is friendly. But you have to watch it. We paid and a guy at the counter, we was at the drive thru, asked us if we paid. We was like yes wet did ask the lady at the window who helped. Other than that nice friendly service and great food.
Cheese curds and a delicious root beer shake. Absolutely perfect. Best root beer shake I've ever had. They specially make the ice cream to taste good with the shakes. I don't even like sweets.
Wish they had the A&W MUGS ðŸ˜
I like it every once in a while. Fried stuff is so oily and salty that you have to control yourself from overeating. The location is nice and customer service was good. Food arrived quickly.
