Was visiting Danbury for the day and decided to eat before heading back home. This was one of the few seafood places that was nearby with excellent reviews. It didn't dissapoint. The place was quaint, nautically decorated and clean. They offered a bread basket (would be a nice touch if it was warm) and the dishes were full of flavor. Portion size was generous and the flan was one of the best I've had. That was also a nice sized slice. I will definitely stop back in when I am in that part of town.
The Atlantic restaurant is one of the top 10 restaurants in this town, the staff and owners are exceptional in the service and hospitality that they provide. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious and are prepared fresh daily from the best ingredients available. Treat yourself and your friends to an authentic Portuguese experience and enjoy the atmosphere with the friendly people that frequent this great restaurant.
We tried this restaurant after a Trip Advisor search and well worth the trip. Local atmosphere with amazing service and food.

My family and I dine at Atlantic regularly for many years. We have never been disappointed. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always friendly. The Clams Atlantic is a wonderful appetizer, and you cannot go wrong with the Garlic Shrimp for your main course.
We are always looking for Portuguese food as we travel and we found it in abundance here. Highly recommend it if you're wanting good food and service.

For several years I pass through this restaurant not knowing how delicious the food they have. Original portuguese dining. The menu and your choice will make you come back, which I will go back.
Did a late dinner after work. Food was fresh and delicious. Steak was Aplus and the flan is amazing. Server was great, she treats her customers like they are her friends. Very welcoming bar and restaurant.

We were visiting the area for a family event so we thought we'd give this restaurant a try. We arrived without a reservation but that turned out not to be a problem. We were warmly welcomed inside and promptly seated. Rolls and a small dish of tasty olives were immediately brought to the table. We had many questions about the cuisine and our waitress was really patient and answered all our questions. We started our meal with the fried sardines appetizer. It was crunchy and delicious. For the main course, my husband chose the Octopus which was perfectly prepared. He devoured it with glee. I was warned that the seafood stew was enough for two people but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. It was a huge portion filled with shrimp, a whole lobster, scallops and squid, all in a rich, savory broth. I stuffed myself and still had enough leftovers for another meal at home ! All through our meal, the waitstaff was attentive to our every need and went out of their way to keep us happy. This was our first visit but it won't be our last. I can't wait to come back next time we're in town.
