I will never step foot in this place again! Two weeks ago I went into the store and ordered an Elmo cake and Cookie Monster cupcakes for my 2 years olds birthday today! I went to pick up his birthday cake and cupcakes today, and they could not find my order! The young girl asked me questions like could it be under another name, when is the party, and how many people were coming! I was so upset, I could feel the tears about to stream. The kid behind the counter said that the baker was still there, they had extra cakes, yada, yada, yada....I asked her to stop talking to me twice, and just refund the money I had a ready given as a deposit for my order. My order was special, and I did not want a cake already made!! Perhaps you guys should think about getting a computerized system so that you won't have to search through a basket full of orders. You guys screwed up big time, and deserve 0 stars!
I bought Birthday cake was much better than the bakery in Beverly that I bought from for many years they have gone way down since takeover!!!
So happy to have found a nut free bakery! The 2 1/2 hour drive was well worth it to get my son a beautiful and absolutely delicious cake for his first communion!! We will definitely be back!
Amazing bakery!! I would highly recommend. I found them in 2014 and i’ve never stopped going! the perfect nut free bakery but great for people without allergies!! highly recommend! the owners are so kind and sweet.
They did my wedding cupcakes back in November and we’re still getting comments on how good they were! We also had a couple celebrating their 40th anniversary in attendance, and were able to give them their own little cake as well! Katrina was wonderful and so easy to work with! I can’t recommend them enough!! Will definitely use them for future events, or when I’m just in the mood for some sweet treats!
I have ordered many cakes from Cakes 4 Occasions over the years, but the most recent one for my daughter-in-law's baby shower was my favorite. I emailed them a screenshot of a confetti cake I saw on Pinterest, and they copied it so beautifully. Amazing! (We bought the animals on Amazon and made the hats.)
Convenience & Quality! I had a last minute emergency to find my simple wedding cake with a 4-day window. Found this place online and was not disappointed! The website has a simple 'add-to-cart' method that allowed me to pick a cake & cupcakes and check-out! Upon pickup the cake was safely packed in a box as well as the cupcakes! The taste was great and they were a hit at my wedding!
I have to give thanks to Cakes for Occasions for their creative cake ideas. I recently had my daughter's 7 birthday party and I got the cake pops and cake rockets as substitute for cake and cupcakes. It was very COVID-free friendly. It was the BEST choice and everyone loved them!
Our cake was everything I never knew I wanted! My husband and I walked into their bakery with a loose concept of what we imagined our wedding cake would look like and they somehow managed to make that vision come to life. These people are artists! And wedding cake consultant, Rebecca, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Hire them- you will not be disappointed!
We used Cakes for Occasions for our wedding cake just shy of ten years ago. Today we had a small victory at home and I went there again for another celebratory confection. These guys get it. Every little thing has been perfect each time we decide to use them, whether we walk-in or order ahead. Always great, patient service. Easy to be indecisive when faced with all their options.
Have read some reviews that say they are pricey. You get what you pay for here. My local bakery has similar cakes for cheaper, but I still drove 20 miles for theirs.
Really great selection of cakes and other delights. Their chocolate mousse and blueberry topping thingy are especially great. They're doing the cake for my wedding in October and will also do a complimentary top tier of our wedding cake for our one-year anniversary next year. Great service!
